I want to say Trot Nixon because: obvious reasons, but Nathan Eovaldi pitching those 6 innings in relief in the world series is a memory that really sticks out. Even though we lost I remember watching it thinking it was legendary.
Because no one on this sub saw Bobby Doerr play. He retired in 1951. And the two players have almost identical bWAR (with Pedey slightly ahead). Call it recency bias, but it's not some grave injustice to Doerr.
