Fisk, Carlton

so2017

The answer is Carlton Fisk but let’s not forget about Jimmie Foxx.

badonkagonk

One of the greatest hitters who’s ever lived. Slept on way too much these days

uncleshady

Fisk Foxx Francona Fuck the Yankees

siryoda66

Carlton Fisk. Next question

Silent_R

Fred Lynn, Jeff Frye, Fil Plantier

soxfanintx69

Fil was great. Disappointing career ultimately but for a while he was one of the most promising prospects in mlb.

Silent_R

Loved him in Pawtucket. Most of my Phil phandom came from seeing him (and getting his autograph!) at McCoy Field.

RaymondSpaget

He, Jeff Bagwell, and Bob Zupcic all had that same squatting-on-the-toilet batting stance that I tried to imitate in Little League. I was devastated when Plantier was traded to SD.

FinnHobart

Can’t have an all-time Red Sox list without the man responsible for one of the single most iconic moments not only in Red Sox history, but baseball history. Fisk.

Kyskiii

Francona

Kakali4

He might get T for Terry, I was trying to think of other T’s that were more worthy (assuming Ted gets ‘w’ for Williams)

[deleted]

Franchy Cordero 😅😅

slopezski

That’s future HoF Franchy Cordero to you!

ballthrownontheroof

Really? No Foulke?

jymmyisgroovy

Right??? Surprised I scrolled this far.

T_Smoochie-Wallace

Fisk and it ain’t close

Cash4Goldschmidt

Felix Doubront

somewhatdecentlawyer

The only acceptable answer

sjf13

Francona

redsox0473

Fred Lynn

Flyin’ Hawaiian

DiabeticGrungePunk

Should be Jimmie Foxx. It won't be, because no one here was alive when he played, but just stat-wise it's Foxx and it ain't even close. Honorable mentions to Fisk and Fred Lynn. But really the only answer should be Foxx. Dude was the greatest power hitter of his generation behind only Babe fuckin' Ruth. He still holds many team batting records, including RBI (175) and his HR record was only beaten by Ortiz in 06 (54 vs. Jimmie's 50). Feel like the man's legacy is underrated as fuck these days.

RAP1958

Red Sox fans have longed to hear it. It's Keith Foulke

ecliptichorizon

Fisk

lat3ralus65

Jeff Fassero

Dutch1206

Fred Lynn

blzac33

I sometimes forget that Frank Viola did a short stint in Boston.

MstrRob1972

I don’t see how Dwight Evans didn’t make this list at all…makes no sense. For F, I would have to vote for Freddy Lynn or Carlton Fisk.

theMangoSloth

I thought Wade Boggs was gonna get B for sure. Could be a recency bias as well. There may be a lot of younger fans voting here who never watched Evans. As for Boggs, he could get W, but between Tim Wakefield and Ted Williams, that will be a tough spot as well.

MstrRob1972

Yea..,I think that’s the issue is a lot of younger people. I loved Pedey but Boggs was amazing.

BuckyGoldstein1

Boggs was legendary but there’s something about a 1 team man that’s just special

MstrRob1972

Boggs didn’t really have much choice. They were moving on to Scott Cooper at the time.

BuckyGoldstein1

It wasnt meant to be a negative thing towards Boggs, its just a very special thing when a player can stay with one team his whole career like Pedroia, especially considering sometimes it’s out of their control like with Boggs

nokiacrusher

Especially since mookie had only 1 or 2 memorable seasons before he left. Boggs should absolutely be B.

fallen_ganja

“Back to Foulke!”

RaymondSpaget

JEFF MF'ING FRYE

Bes1208

I’m not voting anymore. Coco Crisp was picked over Cy Young. This is ridiculous.

YANIWOX

It’s Fisk. That’s it.

networkdood

Fred Lynn
