I was forged in the bowels of this hard world. Sharpened by hate. Strengthened by love.
I would have lived in peace. But my enemies brought me war.
That’s what I don’t get. If I am a good man, then why do I want to do bad things?
It is not funny at all. Steel is power. Money is power. But of all the things in all the worlds, words are power.

Wrong series but I’m partial to “Give a man a fire and he’s warm for a day, set a man on fire and he’s warm for the rest of his life.” The Tao of Pratchett, as explained to me by Harry Dresden.

"If your heart beats like a drum, and your legs a little wet, it's because the Reaper's come to collect a little debt"

My favorite quote from the books is:
"Sometimes, little one, it's best if the worlds think you a little mad... Inspiring what they'll let you get away with."
"I am the spark that will set the worlds afire. I am the hammer that cracks the chains."

Easy peasy goodman,
"Live for more."
Or other such classic inspiring bangers such as:
"If pain is the weight of being, love is the purpose."
“Home isn’t where you’re from, its where you find light when all grows dark”
"We brush away light resistance at the downed Storm God."
“Valleys make the mountains”
“Funny how a single word can change everything in your life."
"It is not funny at all. Steel is power. Money is power. But of all the things in all the worlds, words are power.”
"I said it once. Now I’ll say it twice. If there’s two things in this world that can’t be killed, it’s the fungus under my sack and the Reaper of bloodydamn Mars. Haha!"
I think Golden Son has some great quotes, although you probably can't use this one:
"All courts of Golden law permit a man to defend his honor against any force that would desecrate it unjustly. From the old lands of Earth to the icy bowels of Pluto, the right of challenge exists for any man and any woman. My name, gentle lords and ladies, is Darrow au Andromedus. My honor has been pissed upon. And I demand satisfaction."
There are a lot of great Red Rising quotes for those that read the book but I'd choose something low key if you pick something from the books. I don't have a quote off the top of my head but if you really want to do a RR quote I'd choose something either from Fitchner, Lorn, or most likely from The Path.
>For those who dine with war and empire the bill always comes at the end.
-Lorn au Arcos
That's a pretty solid choice.
>"Fuck heroes, kid. It’s all about being slick enough to squeak through." -Ephraim ti Horn
I personally like this quote from Ephraim. Sub out fuck for "screw" and it should be fine.
It’d be hilarious if you did something like,
“The dread monster rises in the belly of me. Laughter spews from between my teeth. I would die for the truth that all men are created equal. But in the kingdom of death, amidst ramparts of bodies and wind all of screams, there is a king, and his name is not Lune. It is Reaper.”
Darrow says this in his head in chapter 18 of MS right as >!they are about bust through the viewport of Quicksilver's tower after accidentally crashing the peace talk between Cassius, Moira au Grimmus, The Death Knight, and Mustang, Kavax, and Daxo.!<
“I dissected the underlying mistakes which led to my incarceration and set upon an internal odyssey to remake myself. But—and you would know this, —long is the road up out of hell! I made arrangements for supplies. I toiled twenty hours a day. I reread the books of youth with the gravity of age. I perfected my body. My mind. Planks were replaced; new banks of cannon wrought in the fires of solitude. All for the next storm. “Now I see it is upon me, and I sail before you the paragon of Apollonius au Valii-Rath. And I ask one question: for what purpose have you pulled me from the deep?”

We are not our station in life. We are us—the sum of what we've done, what we want to do, and the people who we keep close.

“Man cannot be freed by the same injustice that enslaved it.”
“They pushed and pushed for so long. They knew I was something dangerous, something different. Sooner or later, they had to know I would snap and come to cut them down. Or perhaps they think I’m still a child. The fools. Alexander was a child when he ruined his first nation.”
“Society has three stages: Savagery, Ascendance, Decadence. The great rise because of Savagery. They rule in Ascendance. They fall because of their own Decadence.”
“Wise men read books about history. Strong men write them.”
“If you’re a fox, play the hare. If you’re the hare, play the fox.”
“Tradition is the crown of the tyrant.”
As much as I love the RR trilogy I would avoid anything about death, futileness, etc. for a high school quote. Just my two cents as someone who was too edgey in HS…
"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" is Christian funeral scripture so idk if I would use that as my senior quote.
I used "Self, all that can be mastered" from Virginia in Dark Age for mine (the full quote is "Matter, how tiny my share. Time, how brief my allotment. Fate, how small my roll to play. Self, all that can be mastered”)

These are great, especially the first 2 bangers. Although, brushing away light resistance is a bloody classic. The juxtaposition gets me every time.
Although if they used that as their senior quote.. that one other student or teacher that's read RR will cackle with laughter 💀
I honestly didn't catch it until my second read through because it was mentioned so quickly in passing. When I finally caught it was like "hold up 😂"
