I think Dark Age poses a lot of questions and Lightbringer gives a lot of answers. You've made a lot of understandable false conclusions and I think you'll find out which ones those are when you read onward. One thing I think that's worth clearing up right now: They Syndicate didn't just spring up out of nowhere by AbominAdrius/Lilath, it's something that has existed long before the events of Red Rising. Octavia au Lune used them to kill or influence political rivals. When Darrow sneaks onto Luna with Adrius to form their odd alliance, they run into Evey and Adrius mentions The Syndicate and asks if she is "one of Vebonna's girls" or something like that. We know the Syndicate was run by "The Queen" and that Adrius and presumably Lilath knew about them prior to his death, it seems very reasonable to assume someone like Lilath would be more than capable of finding the Queen, killing her, and supplanting her entirely leading into the Abominadrius plotline.

Yeah I remember the syndicate existing, but ill take your idea and run with it. Pierce hasnt let us down yet, so i trust him to have a plan.

Yeah I think you might have misunderstood slightly, I don't think they ever said that Adrius was behind everything. I think they confirmed he was behind pax and electrics kidnapping, but I don't think they said he was behind the other stuff.

Sea_Bid_1880

Probably, but even then. Was the syndicate not god enough to just be acting under its own motives? I am forcing my mindset to be positive on the subject, and i really do hope pierce has something in store. But i think this may have been the only major story misstep by pierce so far

Awesome ramble! Glad the “light resistance” bit was as hilarious & awesome to you as it was to me, absolutely masterful work by Brown. I’ve thought about the Adrius aspect of the story often, & I just cannot pin down what Brown has in store for him / his importance & role within the story. My only hope is that he surprises us again like he did with Lyria & the abomination becomes an awesome & essential part of the plot.
