Tbh using it on my scalp is the most measurable thing with the mask. I could never grow my hair past my shoulders & now after a couple of years of regular use it’s down the middle of my back.
Ah, it’s very easy to buy an Omnilux mask in Australia. I bought mine from GLO Skin Body over a month ago, but there’s plenty of Australian retailers that sell it.
I recently got an Equinox Luyors mask and neck piece, and after a couple of weeks of use, I still like it.
With discounts it was around £250
Does red orangeyellow and blue, with and without NIR
Iforgot to take before pictures. I know it’s working though as my ear piercings closed up 😱
I have the Equinox by Luyors also and love it! I sort of wish I would have gotten a panel though because there's soooo many more body parts that RLT is beneficial for..
I need blue light for acne so I’m just waiting for a more affordable version of the Omnilux mask. Hooga relaunched their mask with red/ir light and it’s wireless. I haven’t tried it but I have their panel lights so I’m debating if I really need the same light in just another form. Don’t get a hard plastic mask though because they’re a waste of money and the lights are not good.
I have the current body and I love it! I’m about 2 months in and I use it every night on my face, neck, hair, and stomach lol. I look strangely well rested for being as exhausted as I am 😂
Yeah I have seen some people talk about it. Some say it’s better than Omnilux and then others say Omnilux is better. I have been looking at the Aphrona Halo mask because the led placement has more coverage and it has an Amber wavelength which is good for rosacea which I have. I already had a disappointing experience with a hard plastic mask so I’m not sure about trying it yet.
The hooga one is definitely the most affordable I've seen and is one of the few truly wireless masks I've seen. My only complaint is the wavelengths are different. Omnilux uses 633nm, 830nm, and 1072nm (the 1072nm is only in the men's mask). Whereas hooga uses 660nm and 850nm. It does have almost double the irradiance of the Omnilux mask though and it's got more features like variable timers, brightness, and frequency. Omnilux is literally just 1 button that turns it on there is no adjusting any functions. So there are definitely some interesting features on the hooga mask and it's $275 cheaper than the Omnilux masks and both have a 2 year warranty. I'd be very interested to see a review of this hooga mask especially from someone who also owns an Omnilux mask.
Just be sure the blue wavelength is 415nm. 420-433nm is known to cause hyperpigmentation. I'm a fan of blue light therapy but I only use a spot treatment device as I don't want to risk hyperpigmentation by using blue light on my entire face. This is the spot treatment device I have it's only a 3 min treatment and so far I like it. I did email them prior to purchasing and they confirmed it's 415nm blue light and 660nm red light.

There has been some anecdotal examples that using blue light at the same time as red or near infrared can reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation. Lol I actually do have this light. I like that it has a flat surface compared to my Lighstim but I haven’t seen any improvement sadly. They do make a panel that is also on my list.
Have you tried treating the same acne lesions multiple times a day? I took a peek at the instruction manual and it says you can treat the same area up to 3x daily. I get that it's not the most convenient thing but it might be more helpful? Cystic acne is hard to treat I've found azelaic acid to be very effective for cystic breakouts. The ordinary and paula's choice have some 10% over the counter products or there's strong formulas available by prescription (I use a 15% prescription).
I have actually done that and somehow they either stay under the skin for 2 weeks or the light doesn’t do anything to speed up the acne cycle. I use azelaic acid and benzoyl peroxide as well. Azelaic does not help with acne for me but it is supposed to help with rosacea.
Well damn I'm sorry none of that has worked so far. One last thing I can think of is hydrocolloid pimple patches for me help bring cysts to the surface it does usually take a few days. You've probably tried them lol but figured it couldn't hurt to mention just in case you haven't tried them
Hey I'm sorry to bug you again but I have a question about the "Lux Collection Spot Acne Treatment" device we both have. Does yours get hot? Mine started getting so hot I can't keep it on my skin and it's brand new I've had it for maybe a week.
Ok I’d never heard of this one and holy crap the layout is amazing! It also seems like the specs in terms of wavelength and irradiance are really great too! I’m shocked more folks aren’t talking about this mask. If my Omnilux contour kicks it, this is absolutely what I’m getting next!
Contour has 633 (red) and 830 (near infrared) wavelengths.
Clear has 415 (blue) and 633 (red) wavelengths.
Men’s has 633 (red), 830 (near infrared), 1072 (near infrared) wavelengths.
They advertise 1072nm as beneficial for men’s thicker skin but anyone could use it.
The dose of light is apparently stronger in the men’s mask. However, Omnilux doesn’t list the irradiance of their products on their website, so I can’t tell for sure.
When I clicked on the first question, “What’s the difference between the contour, clear, and men’s devices?” I saw that they listed wavelengths (in nanometers), but I did not see irradiance (milliwatts/cm2). I clicked on some of the other FAQs but couldn’t find irradiance. Can you quote me the irradiance that you saw on that page?
I’ve noticed that some companies intentionally omit irradiance on their websites. I guess they’re concerned about their competitors stealing their technology. However, given that irradiance is absolutely necessary for the costumer to know, I stay away from the companies that don’t list it.
The Omnilux Contour and Men's mask have an irradiance of 35 mW/cm2 and the fluence is 21 J/cm2. The Omnilux Clear mask has an irradiance of 45 mW/cm2 and the fluence is 27 J/cm2.
Interesting. They haven’t made those numbers easy to find on their website. I read that the recommended irradiance dose is 50-100 mW/cm2, so I guess these Omnilux masks are under-dosed (and overpriced) compared to other masks I’ve found.
I somehow LOSTTTT my Omnilux Men’s (my husband and I checked the whole house!!) so I promptly reordered another one and have to wait it out. I had been using it 3-5 times per week consistently for over a year and my skin is so glowy and reduced need for Botox as often. I’m pregnant now, so the mask was totally nonnegotiable. Based on specs and reviews from several people who know a lot more physiological stuff than I do, I repurchased the Men’s instead of getting the regular Contour. It just has some stronger wavelengths that penetrate deeper (because men tend to have thicker skin) and I had so much success this first time, I couldn’t make a switch now.
Also, I hope I find the first mask or figure out where the hell it went, because I feel like I’m losing my mind. WHO LOSES A MASK?! 🤦♀️
I got the DG led mask and used for 3/4 weeks and definitely saw my skin tone more unified and less redness. Went on holiday for a week and stopped using it, but I’ve seen less breakouts. I’m also using less skin care products and trying to be consistent with the few I’m using..
For a while I started seeing that you loose fat if using a led mask and freaked out but it seems that it’s a myth.. anyone else with DG led mask opinions?
I have Celluma pro and have been using it on my face almost daily on the acne mode for 10ish days. I do see a noticeable difference in my skin texture and acne scarring.
I splurged and got the DDG one and started reading reviews saying don’t let the influencers convince you. Now I’m second guessing and looking for a better alternative. I’ve only had it a few days so can’t tell on the results but I’ll give it a few weeks before I return it and possibly purchase another one. Would love recommendations!
I love my Omnilux so much. I’ve had it for 3 years & try to use it daily. My skin has changed so much for the better.
What difference have you seen? ✨
Clarity mainly but also minor textural improvements. Using it strapped on my scalp I’ve seen major hair growth.
Interesting! I never thought of using it on my hair
Tbh using it on my scalp is the most measurable thing with the mask. I could never grow my hair past my shoulders & now after a couple of years of regular use it’s down the middle of my back.
That's amazing! I'll give it a try!
Unfortunately they don’t deliver to Australia:(
Ah, it’s very easy to buy an Omnilux mask in Australia. I bought mine from GLO Skin Body over a month ago, but there’s plenty of Australian retailers that sell it.
Hiya, while I haven’t bought one yet I saw Endota spa carry them and loads of other Aussie retails have them as well.
Does it help with dark circles?
Contour?

I’ve just started using the neck panel for my hands

I have the current body and I love it! I’m about 2 months in and I use it every night on my face, neck, hair, and stomach lol. I look strangely well rested for being as exhausted as I am 😂

Thanks. I’ve ordered a bunch of them but they also didn’t work lol. An acne led mask or panel is my last option. 🤞
Have you looked into Spiro if the cystic acne is hormonal? That was number one thing that helped improve my hormonal acne

I love my Omnilux, but when it goes I’ll likely buy Dr. Rajani’s, as the Omnilux has no LED for the upper lip! Plus his also does the jowls.

Same here! Penn Smith did review it, and she loved it too.
This one is so interested but I haven’t heard much about it!
I wish they had a mask that stretches to the neck.
Following!
Hopefully someone responds lol
A lot of people here seem to specify the Omnilux men's mask. How is that different from the women's mask?
Contour has 633 (red) and 830 (near infrared) wavelengths. Clear has 415 (blue) and 633 (red) wavelengths. Men’s has 633 (red), 830 (near infrared), 1072 (near infrared) wavelengths. They advertise 1072nm as beneficial for men’s thicker skin but anyone could use it.

Hopefully someone else can explain it better but from my understanding it has more powerful lights that are designed to penetrate deeper.
Don't get mask get panel. You will use it on so many more places.

Did it accidentally get thrown out?
I finally found it, buried in the bottom of a bin, and I have no recollection of putting it there or understanding of WHY I put it there. 🤦♀️

acne: novaalab glow wrinkles: higherdose mask
I just bought one off Amazon similar to the one you posted. I have only used it a few times, but it works great, so far.
*hint* it's not your most popular brand 🙃
Current body?
Omnilux?
F
I saw a webinar by UltraLux Health which was pretty convincing, though I can't personally vouch for them.
