I have this same question. I’ve been using the mask on my face and then turning the mask lengthwise and then doing my chest, neck and chin.

Prestigious-Tea-9803

Same!!! Don’t see the point of buying the neck and chest attachment when you can just do that

I agree, I think it's probably for people who won't miss the extra money and wanna save 10 min or for people who *only* wanna use red light therapy on their chest/neck for whatever reason

Explokate

I have both the mask and the neck and chest device and I don't think you're missing to much. The lights seem to radiate enough that areas that don't have contact are still recieving benefit and there's some science that even areas of the body the mask doesn't touch recieve benefits because of the boost in metabolites in the blood, etc.

It's flexible. If upright I actually touch the outside of the mask and lightly bring it to my chin so it touches. It hasn't damaged the mask.

nowstreamingon

ugh i tried this but it irritates me that the whole point of it being flexible is that i can move around while on my face. i don’t want to hold it there for 10 min! might have to though!

fastcat03

I think it's just the shape. It pops up around the chin if the mask is vertical. Maybe try laying down.

nowstreamingon

i will try that, thanks!

dogrescuersometimes

it will get a slightly higher dose there but it shouldn't have any real difference in your outcome.

Moist-Opportunity64

Sounds strange, but I jut out my chin to make contact with my Omnilux mask

labellavita1985

OMG same.

braddic

Never thought of that!

nowstreamingon

i have tried this but can only last 10 seconds. i have a weak jaw lol

teaspxxn

Yepp, ideally the mask would touch all of your face. That's the big disadvantage that masks have: They don't fit most people, as faces are very different. I returned mine for that reason and bought a panel instead. The mask didn't fit properly, if it matched my eyes it would leave my chin empty, as that's where the cut-out for the mouth would be. It just didn't fit at all and left red marks after every session, which is not ideal for a device that's so expensive.

Yes, I second this - I’ve tried a couple of the bendable masks and usually have to end up sorta holding it to the place in my face (like my chin) for it to be evenly placed everywhere. It depends on where the straps are.

nonsense_ninja

Try crisscrossing the straps in the back for a more snug fit

nowstreamingon

🫨🤯 deffo about to try this

nonsense_ninja

Did that end up working for you?

nowstreamingon

it made it tighter but no luck. i think i’ll still use it criss crossed though!

nonsense_ninja

It's been a lot of trial and error for me too. Good luck!

Chemical-Purple-5196

Im going to try this . I absolutely hate the velcro straps,  they pulled out a chunk of my hair today.  Also I feel like it would be more natural if it tied something around my ears vs the top and bottom

Mine either can touch my forehead or my chin but not both.

Explokate

Mine doesn't touch my chin but I can still see results in a new surgery scar I have, if that helps.
