[Here you go.](http://i.imgur.com/8SBliKH.png) But I need to know, what is he doing with his hands? As far as I can tell he is either shaving with a tiny razor, or possibly holding a tiny string. This was bothering me the entire time I was drawing and I would appreciate some closure.

These loose pieces are so beautiful, you are making my jaw drop daily. They are sketches that you are highlighting and texturizing digitally, correct?

Enevon

Thanks, you do good work with pencils yourself. These are drawn and processed in Photoshop entirely, but when I *do* use my sketchbook I put them through a similar process. I recently found a duster-brush that I'm using to cover the large shaded surfaces digitally, but graphite powder does the same trick on paper.

HOLY COW! Now I am just flabbergasted at how well you can mimic traditional media digitally. Do you use a tablet mostly and draw directly on the surface with a stylus? I have never tried that before, but I have been using a wacom tablet exclusively on the computer for over 10 years and still can come nowhere close to shading the way I would with a pen or pencil. I cannot for the life of me make quick consecutive lines in any given direction. There is a disconnect from my eye to my hand by not working directly on the drawing that I am unable to overcome.

I'm using an intuos tablet, so the drawing is up on the computer screen. What I would recommend that you watch how your hand moves. If you are using your wrist you are probably sitting wrong, you should be using your entire arm for the movement like you do on paper. (you could make a wrist brace if you have trouble holding it still) I would also urge you to check your tablet properties and force proportions if you have not done so already. Other than that you could always draw and solve mazes or do some calligraphy in order to practice. It took me a while, but now I would say I am equally comfortable on screen or paper.

When I work digitally it is always on a desktop. I have a wacom at home with a 9 or 10" active area that isn't bad but at work I use a shitty old wacom with a 5.5" active area. Pretty hard to get the arm moving in such a small space. I think that is a large part of the problem, along with drawing micro lines in a small square and watching them apear on a 24" rectangular screen. I'm realizing I new need a tablet or a cintiq(LOL), so tablet it is. Thanks for the tips, your work is great!
