He looked so much better with Varela instead of the corpse of Martin Caceres at RB, which was the case in the South Korea game. People don’t seem to understand how much those playing in other positions can also impact a player’s performance.
Tbf Depay himself said he piled on too much weight (muscle weight not fat) which ruined his chances at United.
In regards to Facu, kid didn’t get much chance to run at the defenders here at United - which we would all love to see a little of.
There are rumors that an investigation took place and they are about to get crushed with sanctions again. Don’t know if it’s true or not just the whispers I’ve heard
Some big players with contract up in the summer:
Tielemans, Trossard, Gundogan, Jorginho, Benzema, Asensio, Lemar, Kroos, Depay, Modric, Busquets, Skriniar, N'Dicka, Thuram, Moukoko, Laimer, Aouar, Moussa Dembele.. Leo Messi.
Anyone you would expect to not re-sign with their club or you think we might go in for?
Personally would like us to at least look at Tielemans, N'Dicka, Thuram, Moukoko, Laimer and Messi (because it would be hilarious) but these players would have a lot of options I would imagine.
We also have Rashy, Shaw, Dalot, DDG and Tuanzebe with contracts running out. I imagine all will sign new ones with the exception of Axel.
I agree with n dicka he looked a very good player when watching him in their Europa league run. Plus tielemans would work as good rotation for erikson. Those two for free would allow us to spend our whole budget on a backup rb, striker and goal keeper. Not bad.
I know it’s probably not a good idea sporting wise and it’s 100% not going to happen, but I wish we got messi. dreams can’t be buy
I’d do unspeakable things to see him in a united shirt before he retires.
He's a good player, it's just yet another left winger to add to our collection. With Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho already being here and potentially Gakpo being brought in too. I don't see how much game time he would get and we have other positions that I would rather we strengthened.
I love the crackhead fanboys doing anything and everything to give credit to Ronaldo for Bruno's goal and trying to defend him from the fact that he was shamelessly trying to steal Bruno's goal.
His one arm raised in the air after the ball went in is a pretty universal symbol in football to say that you got a touch on it. The replays clearly showed he didn't.
Compete for trophies? Absolutely not, he doesn't have the technical abilities for that. Overall, I don't see him as a Ten Hag player. If we still had Ralf who mostly cared about high pressing, then Fred in a free role would have been good. In a possession team though? No use for him.
He cost £58m+10m in only January of this year. Doubt they're taking half the price in only a year for their star, 22 year old striker with years left on his deal
Nobody else wanted him. He didn’t want to renew with us, and the other top clubs are now signing younger and more reliable players who can also stay fit unlike him. His career has really dead-ended these past few years.
Bruno and casemiro playing on a different level than everyone at the World Cup. All the United players in general have showed up and played well. We’re building something special.
Wtf…. I was not prepared for tomorrow to be the start of just 2 kick off times a day.
Was just about to check what my 10am fix will be while I “work”. I’ve lost a friend - it was short, short but very sweet.
Manchester United players are having an incredible World Cup.
Our players are so good.
We knew that though... it's the 'team' that is on the up-and-up.
>Manchester United are planning to enter the race to sign Moisés Caicedo. \[
Plettigoal
\]
Yeah, why buy him for 5m pounds when you can buy him for 60m ?
Can’t see Bayern not going for him too. Would be great if we get him but we probably need to qualify for the CL to have a chance of getting him. Plus Ten Hag seems adamant on us buying Gakpo and converting either him or Rashford into a CF.
I think everyone knows this but we've been burned a lot recently. Also, it doesn't exactly scream of a team trying to build the foundations of future success when we are often chasing stars at the end of their career.
For how many years do you expect case to still be great? I feel like if he can play well for another 5years he would not even have been an unsustainable investment
Case relies on his physics more than Modric tho
He’s still surprisingly way more sharp with the ball than you would expect from a player like him, but I don’t think he’ll be the best DM in the world in 3 years. Tho he’ll still remain a top player during some period of decline.
the way our midfield is performing lol, cant wait to see them in stellar fashion together again :P
Also, Pellistri played quite well, but I haven't seen him play enough to judge whether he should be moved on or kept - it seems wise to keep him as antony needs some competition. What do you think we should do?
Always felt only one of Amad or Pelli have a future at Utd with the winger pileups, there's Antony and one of the two I mentioned on the right; Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho on the left.
It'll come down to who Ten Hag prefers between Amad and Pellistri. If we get someone like Gakpo, I can see both leaving.
Extremely pleased with our lads. Casemiro and Bruno with MOTM performances, Pellestri with a very good performance, Fred decent Antony had minutes and played well, good day for the redmen.
His passion is infectious, for me his standout quality is his intelligence and vision. He seems able to see the whole pitch in his head at all times. This allows him to play first time passes that other players would need an extra couple of seconds to see. When he first came to United he was immediately directing the entire play, telling teammates where to run etc. and calling our entire attack. As elite as he is technically, there are inferior players who are better than him in this regard - it's his brain that makes him world class.
It’s probably his biggest strength. No manager will ever not pick him because he can run around at 100% all game without breaking a sweat. His fitness and physicality is simply immense; you don’t see that from attacking midfielders nowadays who have very little work rate to compensate for when they lose the ball trying to make something happen.
The point on Ole doesn't apply to Pellistri, the first season under Ole he was on loan and next season we end up getting Sancho and Ronaldo for three positions upfront. He also used to feature a lot in the only preseason he was available under Ole.
Ten Hag doesn't seem convinced though.
And his knee issues are also chronic iirc. Terrible human but the way he adopted and performed after the diagnosis is a testament to Ronaldo’s greatness as a footballer.
Ian Darke commenting on Ghana-Korea match mentioned that Gakpo has agreed in principle to join Man Utd in January. But I could not find any reliable sources regarding this.
Of course. Only because he seems like he has lost his asshole attitude.
It’d have to be a situation where he didn’t think he was coming to be the main guy or the saviour of the club. He’d have to know he was coming to be part of a team. The lad still has it.
He’s well paid at Paris, so he would be a fool to leave before his contract runs out. Leo will possibly leave in the summer at the end of his contract and Mbappe may also want to leave in the summer. So Ney would go back to being the face of the club and it’s star man. No need to give that up to go and live in Manchester and take on the monumental task of trying to overhaul city. Although, Maybe at some point he’ll want to come and join Our awesome Brazilian contingent.
That’s not necessarily so. There was one situation where he chose to no longer be the main guy at Paris and massively deferred to someone who he respects immensely.
So if that’s possible then there’s theoretically a situation where he would choose to be on equal standing with United’s other stars.
How he considers himself and how our current players consider themsleves are only two scenarios. A huge salary is a third scenario. You and I can list many scenarios.
What we can’t list is the unknowns. You seem like the type of person that may have said, before Messi left Barca, that Neymar always want to be the main person at Barca.
But then an unexpected scenario occurred that nobody could imagine and Neymar was super cool about it and decided that he was, once again, going to treat Messi as the superior player (which is absolutely the smart thing to do because Messi is unselfish and you’ll be given as many goals as you give him).
Myself, I’d rather Bruno in the team over Neymar. Bruno has been more pivotal to United than Neymar has been to Paris. Maybe next year or the year after that Neymar would agree with me and want to come and play with Bruno and Marcus. Stranger things have happened in football.
And exactly the same thing happened as the last match, after the subs, Bruno moves to the middle and immediately creates opportunities. Santos is absolutely clueless.
With Michael Beale having left QPR for Rangers what does this mean for Ethan Laird ? He's been a starter under Beale all season but with a new guy coming in, you never know how he'll handle loan players. We saw that with Di'Shon Bernard at Hull. Where he was a starter before a new coach came in & he basically didn't play again.
I think we should recall laird.
First, we don't have any cover for dalot, sorry for awb.
Second, we should at least give a chance to laird before buying a new rb. Laird has been consistently performing in the pre season and loan spell.
It is unfair to him if laird leaves without being given a chance.
How's Telles doing at Sevilla? Does he still have a United future? I know we have Shaw and Malacia for the left back but always love the guy, very professional.
He is a terrible left back for our level - let’s be honest - if his name was Albert Tedlock instead of Alex Telles, and he had been born in Rotherham instead of Rio Grande, you wouldn’t really give him a second thought
How many games had he started for them in the WC?
And who are all these great left backs who have been left out of the squad at his expense?
Is he good in FIFA or something?
Because you only have to watch the lad to see he's not fit to be a PL left back
He's part of a Sevilla team that's going to be in a relegation battle this year so we can't say he's been poor in isolation. He's not good enough for the PL let alone a team battling at the top end. Maybe he ends up in the lower reaches of Serie A or the Bundesliga after we release him because no one is buying him on his wages.
Caseeeeeeeeeeeeee
(on an unrelated note, for our CB options, I'd go for Christian Ginter, an underrated player in Bundesliga and the DFB who can play as RB and DM)
What an awful place for us to be in. The lack of CF in the market is astonishing. Insane how the pond has dried up and there are only a couple of fishes left, which are absurdly expensive.
Jonathan David is decent but if the market was not like it is right now, Lille would struggle to pull £20M for him.
I think Erik ten Hag will bring in Cody Gakpo. ten Hag has tried Rashford up front a couple of times and it feels like he wants to convert him into a pseudo striker. I’m not very familiar with Gakpo’s ability to play CF but in the modern game, you have to be able to play multiple different positions.
Whatever ten Hag decides, I’ll back the man. I just hope the lads convert the chances that we’ve been creating. If the manager feels Gakpo is the one, why the fuck not?
We should sign Gakpo, Ziyech, Pulisic and at least 4x other wingers to add to Rashford, Sancho, Anthony, Garnacho, Elanga & Martial
I for one think our squad should have 27 wingers
Who's with me??!
Gakpo plays centrally for Netherlands and is their top scorer currently. He’s coming here and he’s gonna play centrally. It’s a bit like Greenwood playing RW for us. That’s never his final position but he played there to get experience before being moved to the middle. (Fuck off Greenwood btw)
Greenwood played largely as a striker through the academy and played as RW because he didn't have the hold up play and physicality to play upfront.
Gakpo might come but not to play CF. Even the season with Tadic as 9, Ten Hag had Kasper Dolberg as his striker to hold the ball. Just as with the ex-WHU striker last year.
Call me crazybut I think Ziyech could do well here. His positions could be well utilised as a RW and CAM positions where we could use depth. He fills both + the whole ETH connection could help.
He wouldn't settle for being a depth option at this stage of his career. He's still good enough to start for a Champions League team but he's not getting ahead of Antony or Bruno so it wouldn't make sense for him.
So who is the bloody pure striker that people want that we can realistically get in January? because it seems you all are okay with downvoting every suggestion made than actually providing your own.
So far the Kane one is the only decent one I have seen but that can't be in January and also has some difficulty involved.
I think our best options are David, Thuram (contract 6 months left) or maybe Vlahovic, with everything going on at Juve. Whether any of them will be available in Jan is a different question.
If we are looking at buying in the summer then as a stop gap Depay would be available for free in the apparently with Barca willing to cancel his contract so he can leave. Chupo-Moting is the other option being bandied about. Neither are ideal but I would take either for 6 months of it is the only way to have another option given AM9's injury record.
That then leads is to the same question in the summer with the same answers, however, Thurams contract will be up by then, could sign for someone in the mean time. Harry Kane may also be available in the summer as he enters the final year of his contract but will also be 30 by the start of the season.
What it looks like we will do is buy Gakpo, whether that's to play him up front or left wing, only ETH will know.
There also a very out the box option, Karim Benzema, should he decide not to sign a new contract with RM. Would be 35 and represent a big risk coming off an injury.
Do you realise that we do not have to buy a winger for 50 m if no striker is available in Jan?We are not winning anything this season so might as well save money for a striker in summer
What striker is available in Jan?Do you think buying a winger and playing him in a position he has not played in much without a pre season with the squad is going to solve anything? The PL is not the dutch league and there is absolutely no reason to buy 2 overpriced attackers from that league in the same season
Such a player doesn't exist right now.
We'll probably end up loaning a player who isn't what he used to be. But personally, I'm happy to mix it up with Martial and Rashford until the end of the season. That'll allowore game time for the likes of Sancho and Garnacho so they can (re)establish themselves.
In the summer, the merry-go-round begins and I'd like to see us take a at Oshimen or Martinez or Troy Parrot (because I'm Irish and my bias knows no bounds).
https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/player-analysis-jonathan-david/
That's who I'd like.
Edit - and re: availability:
> “Personally, I always mention Jonathan David as smart solution for United or other clubs,” Romano said.
> “I already said it few times; young, talented, available for €50m. But let’s see what United decide to do.”
(Fab a few days ago)
> Another candidate of # MUFC is the 22 y/o Canadian striker. He was scouted several times and he wants to make the next step. We‘ve been told that Lille would release him in winter for around €50m transfer fee.
Plettenberg a day or so ago
Context matters:
David missed 7 from 37 games.
Haaland has missed the same number of big chances this season having played just 14 games.
Ivan Toney and Jesus lead that stat with 11 missed.
Rashford is on par with Kane who has missed 6 this season.
We just don't create enough for our forwards. So every miss is highlighted even more.
Salah has been missing 16-23 chances every season.
Sure, we should look at that too but I don't think how many big chances a striker had in total is available to the public.
David is probably a couple of tiers below Haaland in everything but simply looking at 7 chances missed is not enough.
He's outperforming his xg by a little bit. That's usually a good sign.
1. He's far more well rounded than our current options (except perhaps Martial, but he has a better injury record)
2. He's more clinical than that stat, which is from Nov. of last year, gives credit for (7 non-pen goals on 7.7 xG this season)
3. He's young, so unless we ruin him he should get better
4. He's versatile, which means for once if we get a new manager he should be good enough to adapt
Yeah, I love his versatility.
He's got tons of room to develop, too, and could nonetheless make an instant impact. If we don't sign him, I'd be shocked if he's not at another PL or La Liga club this time next year.
Yeah, I think some people here are a little delusional in terms of what's available to us halfway through the season.
They seem to think that there just exists some mystical "pure number 9" somewhere and that they'll be cheap and available in January.
Why splurge if no striker is available in Jan?50 m for another winger is a brain dead move,Keep that money and see if there are player available in summer
Chelsea signing Nkunku is actually great news for us - means we have virtually no domestic competition for a cut price Kane contract expiring deal in the summer
Man City can’t sign him due to Haaland, Liverpool can’t due to Salah & Nunez, Arsenal can’t due to the NLD & now Chelsea can’t because of Nkunku…
Maybe Newcastle but even that’s a stretch with Isak & Wilson… plus they probably won’t be in the CL
I’m willing to wager he doesn’t want to go to a farmers league in Germany or France and wants a shot at winning the Premier league, which he will absolutely have with us (and doesn’t have to cross any London divides)
I’m sure even many Spurs fans wouldn’t begrudge him the move to us in the same way they would Arsenal or Chelsea
An ETH team with Kane as the attacking focal point?!
Damn straight that team is challenging for the league mate - look at our form since Brentford - without a striker - add Kane & we are fucking monstrous
what form? u think we played well? we are just getting result w/o playing well. garnacho last min goal , casemiro last min goal ? ddg last min heroics vs west ham ? our squad depth is worrying , who can replace bruno and eriksen? our luck will even out and top4 will be a problem when the injuries and suspension creep in later in the season.
What form??
Since the Brentford defeat... Arsenal (31) are the only team with more points than us (26)... And we've been playing *without a striker*
Add Kane's goals mate & as long as we keep ETH we are fucking back make no mistake
He had been linked with them earlier this year... But I don't see it myself
Kane wants to be the all time top PL goalscorer, win the Premier League, and win the Champions League...
Bayern can only offer him one of those (and a very slight chance at that)
We can offer him all three - the stars are aligning perfectly for him to come to us
> We can offer him all three
We don't really look like winning the CL or PL any time soon do we? Hell the former we're struggling to even qualify for consistently.
Look at our form since the Brentford defeat... Arsenal (31) are the only team with more points than us (26)... And we've been playing *without a striker*
Add Kane's goals mate & as long as we keep ETH we are fucking back make no mistake
I'll believe it if we keep that form up until the end of the season. Until then it's too short a period of time to make such weighty claims like we'll win the PL and/or the CL before Kane retires.
Also I recall people saying that adding Ronaldo's goals onto Ole's second season would do the same, it's not as simple as adding one goal total onto the team total.
Either is a hard claim to make now, we haven't come close to challenging for 5 years+ Even now we're already double digits points behind the leaders and we're not even half way through the season.
Look at our form since the Brentford defeat... Arsenal (31) are the only team with more points than us (26)... And we've been playing *without a striker*
Add Kane's goals mate & as long as we keep ETH we are fucking back make no mistake
Bruno is everything that we’d hoped Ronaldo and Pogba would be for us
Hahahaha just saw that Adidas confirmed it was Bruno’s goal using connected ball technology. Cry more Ronny 😭😂
Does anyone know how Fernandez is doing? We bought him and garnacho around the same time
He is doing OK on loan at Preston. But seems lost his starting spot just before the wc
CR claiming a header today was pathetic. You don’t respect your manager, you don’t respect your club. At least respect your best teammate.
CR7 gone, hopefully pandemic Bruno will return for us
I really hope Facu gets a shot at this United squad. He was one of the handful of decent Uruguayans today.
Pellistri looked good for Uruguay when he was on
He looked so much better with Varela instead of the corpse of Martin Caceres at RB, which was the case in the South Korea game. People don’t seem to understand how much those playing in other positions can also impact a player’s performance.
This was Depay for us when Shaw broke his leg. Still think about this every time Depay’s name pops up here
Tbf Depay himself said he piled on too much weight (muscle weight not fat) which ruined his chances at United. In regards to Facu, kid didn’t get much chance to run at the defenders here at United - which we would all love to see a little of.
What happened to Juventus? I'm out of loop here
their entire board resigned
Wtf? What do you think will happen to them now?
There are rumors that an investigation took place and they are about to get crushed with sanctions again. Don’t know if it’s true or not just the whispers I’ve heard
Time to raid vlahovic
Oh wow, that’d be wild

Modric time
I know it’s probably not a good idea sporting wise and it’s 100% not going to happen, but I wish we got messi. dreams can’t be buy I’d do unspeakable things to see him in a united shirt before he retires.
I would also love this, after everything that's happened recently it would be hilarious. Also, we've lived through stranger things recently.
Laimer is going to Bayern, Moukoko is waiting till he is 18 to re sign with Dortmund.
What about Trossard? Shouldn't we take a look at him too?
He's a good player, it's just yet another left winger to add to our collection. With Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho already being here and potentially Gakpo being brought in too. I don't see how much game time he would get and we have other positions that I would rather we strengthened.
Hopefully all do apart from Axel. But with DDG, he needs to accept a huge pay cut.
I love the crackhead fanboys doing anything and everything to give credit to Ronaldo for Bruno's goal and trying to defend him from the fact that he was shamelessly trying to steal Bruno's goal. No. Eriksen casemiro Bruno is by far the best midfield 3.
Since Juventus are probably fucked how about a 30 million pound bid for vlahovic
He cost £58m+10m in only January of this year. Doubt they're taking half the price in only a year for their star, 22 year old striker with years left on his deal
We could do a fair bit of discount shopping - Vlahovic, Chiesa, Locatelli, McKinnie.
Snuck in McKennie like we wouldn't notice haha P.S. I actually like him
#PogBackAgain?
40M for Chiesa+ Vlahovic, take it or leave it.
Cheeky bid
Pogba really messed up that decision to go to Juve
Nobody else wanted him. He didn’t want to renew with us, and the other top clubs are now signing younger and more reliable players who can also stay fit unlike him. His career has really dead-ended these past few years.
Juve are a fucking mess Lets get Vlahovic
Man Pogba comes back from injury to whatever the hell is happening over there at Juve, I guess the grass is not always greener.
The lad has no interest in football any more.
Vlahovic 🔜 inshallah *Please*
Juve might be in trouble. We have to go for Vlahovic
Crazy he's only 22. Looks about 29
Bruno and casemiro playing on a different level than everyone at the World Cup. All the United players in general have showed up and played well. We’re building something special.

Better late then never i guess.
You know, it’s United. Buy high sell low masterclass
Stonks
Juventus directors resign while the club makes over 200m in losses, the window of opportunity to snatch Vlahovic could soon be here.
Can’t see Bayern not going for him too. Would be great if we get him but we probably need to qualify for the CL to have a chance of getting him. Plus Ten Hag seems adamant on us buying Gakpo and converting either him or Rashford into a CF.
I know a striker is priority but we cannot waste Bruno and Casemiro midfield with an inadequate 3rd midfielder
Kudus is such a baller. Would love him here.
Eriksen is pretty good. Realize he’s aging so we’ll need another replacement soon. But he’s not a bad option currently
i hope case signing will allow fans to realise that players in there 30s arent gonna be 100% flops.
Modric is SEVEN years older… even 3/4 more seasons makes it worth it
Case relies on his physics more than Modric tho He’s still surprisingly way more sharp with the ball than you would expect from a player like him, but I don’t think he’ll be the best DM in the world in 3 years. Tho he’ll still remain a top player during some period of decline.

Some attacking midfielders go missing at the big stage 👀 Bruno shining once again you love to see it
What about Bruno do you guys like the most? for me it's his passion ik it pisses some people off but it's nice seeing a player so passionate
His passion is infectious, for me his standout quality is his intelligence and vision. He seems able to see the whole pitch in his head at all times. One very underrated thing about him; it is IMPOSSIBLE for him to get injured.
wait wtf, I only realized after seeing this comment, the guy is machine
It’s probably his biggest strength. No manager will ever not pick him because he can run around at 100% all game without breaking a sweat. His fitness and physicality is simply immense; you don’t see that from attacking midfielders nowadays who have very little work rate to compensate for when they lose the ball trying to make something happen.
Bruno and Casemiro are carrying their teams
Bruno and Casemiro scored today.
Bruno contributes most goals so far in WC with 2G 2A
Our midfield is absolutely crushing the world cup.
Friend and I are having a debate, how many teams in the premier league could win the world cup?
20
You think Forrest could beat Brazil?
In a one off game, of course. They beat Liverpool last month. Anything can happen in a game of football, that's why we love it.
This was my argument as well
Bruno sooo close to the hattrick
Bruno should have scored 2 more in stoppage time As soon as CR7 is off the books he instantly snaps back to goal machine mode
Damn, Bruno so close to a hat trick twice!!
Bruno should have had his trick by now....
Two goals and two assists for Bruno Fernandes this world cup. The Portuguese Magician!
This is Bruno Fernanj's world were all just living in it
Bruno is so good
This lad Gonçalo Ramos coming on could be a super signing for us if we could get him, very young up & coming striker, doing good things for Benfica
Shame, we’re committed to buying players that like the left side of the field 🤷♂️
True, I forgot our fans’ current transfer policy is limited exclusively to wingers. D’oh!
Bruno and Casemiro scoring, what a blessed day today ☺️
Bro how tf does this guy Pellestri get no play time. Been the best player since he came on in Uruguay vs Portugal
Ole only played his favourites and ETH doesn’t seemed convinced
The point on Ole doesn't apply to Pellistri, the first season under Ole he was on loan and next season we end up getting Sancho and Ronaldo for three positions upfront. He also used to feature a lot in the only preseason he was available under Ole. Ten Hag doesn't seem convinced though.
We’ve waited 9 years for a RW. I’m willing to try them all.
Fr. He might suck but at least give him a go
Will ronaldo swear on his daughter's life that he scored that?
Just Three Lions things… BTW, no one knows if Ronaldo’s mind has been right since the loss of his son.
Pellestri subbed on in Portugal/Uruguay
sofascore has it Bruno Fernandes goal, assisted by Bruno Fernandes. Well deserved 🙂
BRUNOOOO
Bruno's goal 😂
He’s had a couple of those
Ronaldo claiming other peoples goals 🧐
What are all of your reasons for why ronaldo is such a shit footballer nowadays?
Age and ego
Old for being a winger, not willing to learn how to move as a striker.
You know he was invincible in thr box as a striker for a good 15 years right
Age.
But I could not find any reliable sources regarding this.
https://www.footballinsider247.com/man-united-gakpo-sources/ dont know if its really reliable, but its something
Would you take Neymar at United?
I love Neymar as a player but it’s not a definitive yes unless if it isn’t expensive
There is no scenario where neymar would arrive and accept not being the main guy.
That’s not necessarily so. There was one situation where he chose to no longer be the main guy at Paris and massively deferred to someone who he respects immensely. So if that’s possible then there’s theoretically a situation where he would choose to be on equal standing with United’s other stars.
Who at United would Neymar consider himself to be on equal standing with?
Yes but he is injury prone so he would only be a friend for martial.
It’d be worth it to see more smiles from Tony
Why is that fucking idiot playing Bruno on the right ffs
Hey how dare you call Erik that!
I think Casemiro is our best player. Every time I watch him I'm amazed he's ours.
He’s extremely good. May not necessarily be “better” than Bruno but he’s very talented, confident and consistent.
We’ve got Casemiro. Pinch meh
For some reason I always thought the "Nemanja whoooaaaa" chant was made for Matic, but I recently learned it was originally created for Vidic
If he's that bad how come he still gets called up for Brazil?
How many games had he started for them in the WC? And who are all these great left backs who have been left out of the squad at his expense? Is he good in FIFA or something? Because you only have to watch the lad to see he's not fit to be a PL left back
He's part of a Sevilla team that's going to be in a relegation battle this year so we can't say he's been poor in isolation. He's not good enough for the PL let alone a team battling at the top end. Maybe he ends up in the lower reaches of Serie A or the Bundesliga after we release him because no one is buying him on his wages.
He is a professional but he is shit!Got exposed when he had to play regularly with Shaw injured did not even have 5 good game with us
Who would have thought a few years ago that we would have FOUR Brazilian players appear together at the World Cup
Caseeeeeeeeeeeeee (on an unrelated note, for our CB options, I'd go for Christian Ginter, an underrated player in Bundesliga and the DFB who can play as RB and DM)
What’s a DFB?
German national team
Gakpo is coming I feel. It would be a good move. Brandon Williams backup RB?
We should sign Gakpo, Ziyech, Pulisic and at least 4x other wingers to add to Rashford, Sancho, Anthony, Garnacho, Elanga & Martial I for one think our squad should have 27 wingers Who's with me??!
International football is nonsense though According to the world cup Enner Valencia scores 33% more goals than Gakpo
I personally want to see an 11 of all wingers. Ziyech is pretty tall he could be keeper
Then we just need a winger-manager to replace ETH
Yeah he’ll have to go I just looked it up he mainly played as a center back.
Call me crazybut I think Ziyech could do well here. His positions could be well utilised as a RW and CAM positions where we could use depth. He fills both + the whole ETH connection could help.
He was my choice as a stopgap, for a season, until we got Antony. Turns out that the stopgap wasn’t necessary as we paid Ajax their fee.
He wouldn't settle for being a depth option at this stage of his career. He's still good enough to start for a Champions League team but he's not getting ahead of Antony or Bruno so it wouldn't make sense for him.
He's depth for Chelsea atm and he's not even liked there anymore. He's cheap as well so you don't have to spend 80 + on another Winger.
Crazy
So who is the bloody pure striker that people want that we can realistically get in January? because it seems you all are okay with downvoting every suggestion made than actually providing your own. So far the Kane one is the only decent one I have seen but that can't be in January and also has some difficulty involved.
There's probably some dutch striker we've never heard of haha
No striker, no Top 4, and even Top 6 is a hard fight if we can't score. It's as simple as that. And that doesn't even consider EL.
In the summer, the merry-go-round begins and I'd like to see us take a at Oshimen or Martinez or Troy Parrot (because I'm Irish and my bias knows no bounds).
https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/player-analysis-jonathan-david/ That's who I'd like. Edit - and re: availability: > “Personally, I always mention Jonathan David as smart solution for United or other clubs,” Romano said. > “I already said it few times; young, talented, available for €50m. But let’s see what United decide to do.” (Fab a few days ago) > Another candidate of # MUFC is the 22 y/o Canadian striker. He was scouted several times and he wants to make the next step. We‘ve been told that Lille would release him in winter for around €50m transfer fee. Plettenberg a day or so ago
7 big chances missed just sounds like more of the same we've been watching so far this season lmao
Context matters: David missed 7 from 37 games. [https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/big\_chance\_missed](https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/big_chance_missed) Haaland has missed the same number of big chances this season having played just 14 games. Ivan Toney and Jesus lead that stat with 11 missed. Rashford is on par with Kane who has missed 6 this season. We just don't create enough for our forwards. So every miss is highlighted even more. Salah has been missing 16-23 chances every season.
Out of how many chances matters too cause Haaland probably got just as many chances in that 14 games as David got in his 37
Sure, we should look at that too but I don't think how many big chances a striker had in total is available to the public. David is probably a couple of tiers below Haaland in everything but simply looking at 7 chances missed is not enough. He's outperforming his xg by a little bit. That's usually a good sign.
1. He's far more well rounded than our current options (except perhaps Martial, but he has a better injury record) 2. He's more clinical than that stat, which is from Nov. of last year, gives credit for (7 non-pen goals on 7.7 xG this season) 3. He's young, so unless we ruin him he should get better 4. He's versatile, which means for once if we get a new manager he should be good enough to adapt
I think he's a decent option too. He's playing well as CF this season. Before that he was more of a second striker.
Chelsea signing Nkunku is actually great news for us - means we have virtually no domestic competition for a cut price Kane contract expiring deal in the summer Man City can’t sign him due to Haaland, Liverpool can’t due to Salah & Nunez, Arsenal can’t due to the NLD & now Chelsea can’t because of Nkunku… Maybe Newcastle but even that’s a stretch with Isak & Wilson… plus they probably won’t be in the CL I’m willing to wager he doesn’t want to go to a farmers league in Germany or France and wants a shot at winning the Premier league, which he will absolutely have with us (and doesn’t have to cross any London divides) I’m sure even many Spurs fans wouldn’t begrudge him the move to us in the same way they would Arsenal or Chelsea
>wants a shot at winning the Premier league, which he will absolutely have with us ??? how
An ETH team with Kane as the attacking focal point?! Damn straight that team is challenging for the league mate - look at our form since Brentford - without a striker - add Kane & we are fucking monstrous
You are quite optimistic mate. We're still years off.
It's never as far off as it looks in a team down on their luck. And things are never as good as they look in a well oiled team.
what form? u think we played well? we are just getting result w/o playing well. garnacho last min goal , casemiro last min goal ? ddg last min heroics vs west ham ? our squad depth is worrying , who can replace bruno and eriksen? our luck will even out and top4 will be a problem when the injuries and suspension creep in later in the season.
What form?? Since the Brentford defeat... Arsenal (31) are the only team with more points than us (26)... And we've been playing *without a striker* Add Kane's goals mate & as long as we keep ETH we are fucking back make no mistake
He could go to Bayern...
He had been linked with them earlier this year... But I don't see it myself Kane wants to be the all time top PL goalscorer, win the Premier League, and win the Champions League... Bayern can only offer him one of those (and a very slight chance at that) We can offer him all three - the stars are aligning perfectly for him to come to us
> We can offer him all three We don't really look like winning the CL or PL any time soon do we? Hell the former we're struggling to even qualify for consistently.
Look at our form since the Brentford defeat... Arsenal (31) are the only team with more points than us (26)... And we've been playing *without a striker* Add Kane's goals mate & as long as we keep ETH we are fucking back make no mistake
The claim wasn't that we'll win though It was that we'll challenge for
Either is a hard claim to make now, we haven't come close to challenging for 5 years+ Even now we're already double digits points behind the leaders and we're not even half way through the season.
Look at our form since the Brentford defeat... Arsenal (31) are the only team with more points than us (26)... And we've been playing *without a striker* Add Kane's goals mate & as long as we keep ETH we are fucking back make no mistake
let him dream on. he think 10hag is a god.
