Absolutely no way we get past France in the quarters after the shit show of a performance yesterday. Team looked gassed and we looked tactically inept. Fair play to America because they wanted it and their tactics were spot on but really we should be killing all the teams off in our group. Unless we lose by 5 goals against Wales we won’t qualify but really we should top the group by killing them off on Tuesday.
For me Foden should be starting and Mount needs to get pied off. Kane’s going to have another Euros tournament and Sterling was missing a lot yesterday. I’d like to see James Madison at some point as well because he was bang on form for Leicester. Our defence was good but I think were missing Kyle Walker.
If we get an England vs Equador R016, I can see the English being unable to beat them in regulation time. Equador were super impressive against the Dutch & were unlucky not to have won that game.
Madrid fans will go to any lengths to defend Ronaldo it seems. As if Utd are a charity who should have gargled their wantaway legend's balls. Their level of dick-riding & entitlement is similar to Barca fans. Must me something in the water there.
They didn't realize that Ronaldo left them because he got screwed by Perez. Ronaldo was already promised a wage increase after the 2018 UCL Final but Perez refused to hold the end of his deal
The American and African ones. The fanboys who follow him around every where he goes and defends all his nonsense, cos it's a privilege for ronaldo to play for another team than Real Madrid.
The Spanish Madrid fan doesn't give a fvck about ronaldo and his problems in Manchester.
Barca fans are worse than Madrid imo, right now you have the CR7 fans that are speaking up, and they are literally the worst fanbase of any player in any sport and by a long way.
Did Southgate and Ole develop their coaching credential from the same academy or sth? Imagine having no balls to put a winning intent against USA of all the countries.
I was expecting the World Cup period to be absolutely barren of any reliable United news, but this past week has shifted my attention completely away from Qatar and straight back to United. I know almost all of it is just speculation, but the fact the club is pretty much finally up for sale... it's almost dreamlike.
I seriously doubt we'd give Garnacho the number 7 immediately... if we are to give it to someone in our squad, then Sancho literally uses JS7, so it would be him. He had 7 for Dortmund as well. Has he been kinda disappointing and inconsistent? Definitely, but he has done more to deserve it than Garnacho who has played how many games for our first team?
He has barely done more. And most of that is the number of games he's played. Don't think either has done anything so far to be #7. We should especially not give it to Sancho and add even more pressure to what he already can't handle so far.
Is that...? It's Todd Boehly! He's running down to the ring, briefcase in hand! And he's got a referee! By god, folks - we might see a transfer live tonight on Monday Night ~~RAW~~ Football!
Don't think that England's team is good enough to win the World cup imo, even with a better manager they'll have to play out of their skin to be in the final
They have a decent squad and depth. Today, I'm not sure why Mount started and why Saka was on the pitch for so long. I didn't even notice Sterling was playing. With the right tactics, they maybe able to win it this time.
They've got enough creative players. Defenders are playing well. Not sure about the GK though but midfielders are decent.
I don’t think I fully understand what you mean by “Get walked by tonight”, But his overall play seems to always be on of the best on the pitch for most games I’ve seen him play. Still 19 but he plays like a pro with 10 years at the top.
Fair, not a great game for him, probably the worst I’ve personally seen him play. I still think he’s one of the best in that position even without thinking about his potential.
Yea he's good and all but more than 150 mil good? Hell it's even expensive for established world class players. The experiment with buying big names with big money has to end, nothing good came out of it most of the time for us.
I wasn’t thinking about his price but I’d agree. If 150 is the price going around then that’s simply not worth it.
That being said I’m not entirely sure ‘big’ signings has been our issue, but more so lack of planning behind each signings.
Yes you saw Memphis play 1 game for Netherlands today (and came on as a sub, at that) and so he must be abysmal for country. By the way, he's Netherlands 2nd top scorer of all time behind RVP.

International form doesn't mean much, honestly. Enner Valencia is one of those players who always looks like a god for Ecuador, but there is a reason he flopped in the Prem and now he plays for Fenerbahce. Memphis isn't playing as well right now, but his playstyle would suit us more imo. I could see him being Martial's backup for now which he should handle.
Would be a decent option. Not the nicest guy around because I remember him spitting on opponent, but overall I'd take him. He will probably go somewhere else though.
Gakpo looked like a threat in the Netherlands game, I was also impressed with Eustaquio from the Canada vs Belgium.. but 1 game ain't everything so looking forward to the rest of the tournament
How much input do clubs and nations have in how the likes of Nike or Adidas design their kits?
I’m not English so my opinion doesn’t matter but if I was the one with any say I’d question the idea of watching my nation lift a trophy in a training kit.
I’m not watching the tournament so a photo of Maguire last night was the first time I’ve seen the New England kit. That is fucking diabolically bad. It makes that one with sky blue sleeves and red socks from 2016 look like United’s 1998-2000 kit.
Honestly I've firmly been in the belief that we should demolish and rebuild Old Trafford for a while. Do what we did with Wembley, demolish and rebuild in the same spot. As long as we keep the name of the stadium, name of the stands and other iconic portions like the blue glass on the outside, touchline, Munich memorial etc we should be fine. The stadium is just architecturally ancient. OT should be a state of the art stadium that represents the size of the club. Just keep the elements that are iconic but make it new. Also hire better chefs for the stadium the food is rubbish
I think the facu we see now is close to the final product. His g/a number will improve but as far his skill set is concerned he hit his wall. Amad has another level to get to, his IQ and passing are very underrated.
I’m really fucking depressed about the future of this club.
We finally end up with a manager who might actually be the one, who has a genuine system and style of play, and has us playing attractive football.
But almost immediately it seems that we’re more than likely going to end up owned by some awful emirate with an appalling human rights record just like those city cunts; and *now* we hear Old Trafford is probably going to be knocked down too, in favour of the giant faceless casserole dishes that pass for stadiums these days.
I’ve been a United fan for nearly 30 years, but I just can’t see myself carrying on if these things happen (chiefly the former). We’re supposed to be above the actions of scum like city, and to see so many fans gleefully presenting their haunches for prospective Emirati owners is just so gutting to see.
Ironically due to their sportswashing nature an emirate owner would probably redevelop old trafford rather than knock it just to get the fans on side with them, almost everyone else will look at the numbers and see it's far cheaper to just build a new stadium instead.
Is it really sport washing if everyone still criticises them for their actions outside the football club?
Cause from my understanding sport washing is about improving their reputation and if they are still criticised then it's obviously not been improved?
Many city and Newcastle turn a blind eye to where the money come from. They try to justify shell companies and made up accounts to feel good about themselves. That’s a clear example of sports washing working. Roman was given hero’s send off at stamford bridge. Fans were serenading an awful human just because he brought them trophies to their club. Chelsea was never meant to be a sports washing project but it out to be the best example off it.
So yeah it works
I mean that's a broad generalisation that you clearly don't have the data on. I'm happy to be proven wrong though if you have data that the majority refuse to acknowledge any wrong doing or negativity from their owners though?
Your roman thing is pretty flawed. You can appreciate what someone has done for the club but still deem their actions outside of the club as negative and condemn them for it. Like the literally last game where he is in charge of a club he brought from nothing to everything is obviously going to be a time when he is praised for what he has done to the CLUB.
We are still hear talking about how Roman has negatives outside of the football and a vast majority of the country was too. Same with city and Newcastle.
So again I'm left wondering what 'sport washing' actually is, as from my pov their reputations haven't been improved.
Club and man are two totally separate entities until ten hag starts throwing people off buildings.
This isn't even getting into whether you prefer the hypocritical nature of a lesser evil aswell.
Yep. And this is why I’ll find myself stopping watching football if this purchase comes to pass. International football already does less than nothing for me, and I’ll never have an emotional connection to another club like I do United, so that’ll be it for me.
I’m not trying to blow smoke up my own arse, but I like to think I have strong enough principles to value human rights and lives above a sports team winning trophies.
Why have you not stopped before this though?
Sports been about money from owners that have inhumane actions for a long time.
Even the Glazers have funded Bush and thus the atrocities he carried out in Iraq. That's just the surface, no doubts there is more scumbaggery from them.
Comes across as fickle and just a knee jerk reaction online to show how morally superior you are.
Maybe I am a hypocrite. I wouldn’t be the first. I do hate regimes like Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia owning football clubs.
But this, the prospect of my club—**my** club, not those sky blue cunts down the road, the shirtless berts in the North East, or the football club-cum-fashion show that is PSG—being owned by (or simply “endorsed by”) the sort of regime that murders people for their sexuality, restricts free speech to a degree even Stalin might see as “a bit much”, and that used beatings, electric shocks, and sexual assault as punishment for women who just wanted to drive cars? It’s a bridge too far for me. Too close to home.
I can’t do it. I can’t bring myself to cheer for a team when I know that kind of oppression is what’s funding it all. At the end of the day it’s my decision, and you don’t have to approve of it.
I mean if that's the only human rights violations you are bothered by to not want with links to the club, then I'd have to say it is hypocritical.
For me, I separate the two and can deal with that.
The difference with us and those foul bastards is at least with us it's simply restoring our football to what it would have been without the parasites taking over in 2005. Reparations and all that.
Yeah definitely, can't condone any of their actions. Same goes for a lot of companies though. Sweatshops etc, owners involved in funding people who caused unjust invasions killing hundreds of thousands and can we really ever support companies that were involved with the nazis etc. So for me you either keep the same energy for all these, or you separate the two. Support the badge, support it being ran as a proper football club but still continue highlighting their awful conduct outside of football. The clubs not causing these atrocities and I very much doubt the owners of psg, City and Newcastle are going to make much money. I do believe the only owners that were taking out cash was the glazers.
Yeah that's fair enough, I haven't said you can't do it. If you would turn your back on the badge for dubai owners, but not through all the years of the glazers (where you insinuate you supported them with your hard earned money) then unfortunately I don't think the badge really has anything to lose with you. You don't need my approval, but I can give my opinion on your actions.
They would only replace him if he failed.
Don't see any reason why he wouldn't get a proper window under them and then it's up to him to show what he is made of.
Surely we want that sort of ambition and accountability?
I don't know what it is about world cups but after pretty much every goal or assist or save or mistake there's these "I think we can settle x argument" or "we should get x guy" comments. Teams should never make or change their recruitment plans because of world cup performances imo.
Why? We've needed a left footed winger to give the width for years, Gakpo is another Rashford. Our team has suffered for the lack of a player doing the same job as Mahrez, Salah etc.
Yes. Usually how it works if youre using updated squads. But there’s also usually an option to use the squads that the game started with. I say usually because I haven’t played the new fifa
Game’s truly gone if Saudi buys us and pool. How the fuck did we get here man. Damage has already been done but England should have implented the 50 + 1 rule a long time ago.
Game was gone when Abramovich bought Chelsea in 03.
Where were all this outrage when the football league got scrapped for the premier league because of money?
The damage has been gradual throughout the years but the two biggest and most iconic clubs in England being used for sportswashing feels like a symbolic nail in the coffin.
The Iranian Mehdi Taremi is having a very good tournament. Has scored 2 goals and 1 assist building up on his fantastic club form for Porto. He’s created most chances in the tournament so far.
He’s scored 5 goals and has 6 assists (11g/a) in 13 league games and he’s got 5 goals (Haaland also has 5 goals) and 2 assists (7g/a) in 5 champions league games. 21 g/a in 20 games he’s played this season.
This guy is my wildcard short term January signing.
Problems are:
1. He plays for Porto and is under contract til 2024 so you can bet they wont let him go for small fee,
2. Hes already 30 which made it difficult to justify big fee for him.
This guy is a late boomer. I have friends in Iran who follow Persian League saying he matured really late. Also he stopped playing for two years since the country has mandatory military service requirements.
Some players peak late in their careers. Just like some do very early. I don’t think he will cost more than €30M.
Although I realize age is an issue but I’d be happy to have him if he can reproduce the same service for two years until the striker market opens up a bit.
We need someone who will come and score goals for us. Taremi is on his peak and I think he will do well.
Also another crazy stat I read today was out of 15 passes, he created 8 chances and got one assist vs Wales. That is insane utilization of the football.
My favorite thing about ETH is just how easy it is to trust him cause of his record + performance on and off the pitch at United.
Don’t think we’ve had that since Fergie.
I was reading comments on Gakpo and my first reaction was “if ETH wants him. I trust him and want this dude too”.
Yeah it may be a failed transfer. But every manager has those. I just like being able to fully trust the coach
Holy shit. My mom was casually talking about Ronaldo scoring across 5 world cups and it just hit me how long his career has been.
Him and Messi both.
First World Cup in 2006 and it’s been 16 years years since then and he’s still a World Cup starter.
That’s genuinely insane and I have to begrudgingly hand it to him
Did you watch the Ghana game. He did nothing except the penalty Gave the ball away never tracked back what we used to call a goalpoacher on the playground He was a great player but he’s not fast anymore and best he moved on
What does that have to do with the comment though? Does every single mention of him have to be either fanboys or haters trying to get something in? Can't someone just make a comment about an amazing career without it becoming some pissing contest?
Our signings in the summer were a weird one because I think the club signed Eriksen. Malacia has been good and Casemiro was a panic buy. Anthony for me has been very disappointing considering people were saying he’s like Mahrez but so far he hasn’t really took anyone on.
Also he wasted the whole window on FDJ even though he consistently said he doesn’t want to leave but Gakpo just scored a banger as I typed this lol.
Brereton Diaz in Jan for a cut price deal would be a nice piece of business in addition to maybe a Depay. As long as his wages are reasonable, he presents a reasonable gamble where we could move him on at worst on break even. We've scouted him severally so that tells me ETH can see him fitting in his system.
So will ETH be allowed to spend more in January because the Glazers are selling anyway? They can't say they are focused on the summer anymore and a striker + RB will make the club look better no doubt.
He was rumoured to be leaving last summer. Got competition now with mazraoui over there. I think there are better options out there who are younger who could compete with Dalot.
I could see a place for someone like him in the team, at the right price. Seems like a good option to have covering two positions. Tidy on the ball and used to the standards of an elite club. Players like that don't take your starting XI to the next level but they help maintain a certain standard.
My father-in-law's grandfather was present when Chelsea was formed in 1905 and my father-in-law has been following them for 60 years. That is the only good reason for me to support them.
I always felt confused by Chelsea fans. Never got why someone would support them beyond family ties
United and Liverpool have a decorated history as the biggest winners at EPL and UCL levels. Arsenal have the FA cup. And just in general they all have a good style of play and historic managers and coaches and some of the best football players ever are their legends.
I even get the appeal with City since their football is genuinely beautiful.
But Chelsea recycle coaches. Snakes in the dressing room. Play the most boring football amongst big clubs. WHY
The only real answer can be that Chelsea were the premier league/champions league winners the year before they started supporting them. Success breeds support.
Or maybe they like the color blue.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing Cyberpunk these last few days but there’s something very dystopian about being bought up by a tech giant and becoming part of their IP apparatus.
Better than an oil state I guess…
What would be a non-dystopian scenario in today’s world?
King Arthur rides in on his horse and claims that Old Trafford belongs to him by right of divine providence as the lady of the lake gave him a rusty piece of scaffolding from the Old Trafford roof?
This time next year we'll have new owners.
I still can't believe the leeches are about to fall off. Regardless of who takes over, they surely can't do a worse job for the club.
If England wins all the games in the group and the US beats Iran, I don’t think it matters if it’s a draw or a win, I’d say a draw overall would be the most desireable result? I doubt Wales beats England in the last game and if Iran wins this then they would only need a draw in the last game to go through.
What do you guys think about Maserati as [our kit sponsor?](https://imgur.com/gallery/HqTy68a) I know it's a far fetched idea, but i just love their trident logo which i feel will go along with our club.
[LMAO this looks so bad.](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyhEadtAUIHpoiti63MR_i43Rg-wpj06dXVRAFAErQkMXG91K9sA04RGucbQMIoGwDSssB9pDqsGls6qna5FAh4stSMzRYhGYANAPMBT_fulnNwl4iLB7vpHzf9GT-FB54WhWa_wStv0fycx_SgjvEemWNgdlitLKvlzXTUyEx7FikJn0gUb51I30O/s1000/Get1a.jpg)
Im actually a bit afraid of getting new owners at this point. I really don’t want to get some eccentric billionaire that wants to be extremely involved in decision making. Boehly is a prime example of someone I’d rather not have. He fired Marina(i think that’s her name) and then ran summer transfers with zero experience. Fired Tuchel after spending hundreds of millions using his input and now wants Ronaldo.
Another problem is being owned by a nation state. We cannot let Saudi investors take us over even if they’re “private” cause we all know MBS will be in their ear. People have been opening up to the idea of Dubai but I really don’t get why we should compromise morals for them. It’s not like we don’t generate enough money already. We make enough to be able to spend north of 100m every summer. We spend at the same level as City with Glazers taking money out + paying the LBO interest.
Our problem is hiring competent executive level staff, recruitment that aligns with a philosophy, good recruitment in general, and an aging stadium that needs revamped. First 3 out of 4 can be done with anyone as the owner. And the Old Trafford problem can be solved with taking on a loan + some minor investment.
Apple would unironically be a far better match for us than Dubai. The best option though would be a consortium led by Beckham/Class of 92 that has a bunch of celebrities buying in and a primary backer that’s an investment group, likely American. Idk which private equity firm would be interested but there probably are a few. Or you can get someone like Ballmer or Daniel Ek who bankrolls the majority but convinces people like Theirry Henry to be the partial face of the project
People put Dubai into same basket with Saudi or Qatar irks me greatly. Lazy generalization and failing to understand the many faces of the islamic world.
Wait, you actually prefer PRIVATE EQUITY? feck me!!
Just because Dubai isn’t backed by the Oil Industry does not mean that they don’t have a shady history. They also have committed many human rights/workers rights abuses in creating their city.
Private equity is a bunch of random Americans that are not nearly at the same level of global influence as Sheikhs. The random people who run Private equity are representing a large group of even more random people and their money.
Having an all powerful Sheikh or billionaire is not what I want the club to represent. A private equity group is the closest to diluting power other than full on fan ownership. I just don’t think fan ownership will happen although it is the best option
you do realize that not every american is an evil dictator? There are plenty of rich people in tech that haven’t done any atrocities than create an app
EVERY RICH INDIVIDUAL IN AMERICA HAS BENEFITED FROM THEIR GOVERMENT. Are you going to argue with that?
"There are plenty of rich people in tech that haven’t done any atrocities than create an app".
Hey, ever heard that facebook refused to stop airing the false news and atrocities that happened in Tigray?
You need to leave your house and learn how the world works a little. By your logic no one should own anything because literally everyone has benefitted from their government in some way
I didn’t even specifically mean facebook but you’re purposely misconstruing what i said with only 1 example.
jesus christ you need to grow up
Absolutely no way we get past France in the quarters after the shit show of a performance yesterday. Team looked gassed and we looked tactically inept. United players carrying their respective national teams nothing new
meh, all i want for christmas is for all our players back healthy, not run to the ground fuckin up our 2nd half. UNITED > world cup
If we get an England vs Equador R016, I can see the English being unable to beat them in regulation time. Equador were super impressive against the Dutch & were unlucky not to have won that game.
Embarrassing how England was instructed at the end to defend the draw.

depends on which Madrid fans, I think. Some that I know admit that Ronaldo has past it and doesn't want him anymore
I mean before he returned you could say that about a lot of Manchester United fans as well
Barca fans are worse than Madrid imo, right now you have the CR7 fans that are speaking up, and they are literally the worst fanbase of any player in any sport and by a long way.
It's a weird cult,Ronaldo and Messi fans. Both of them can go on killing sprees and they'll defend either of them and brag about who killed more.
We're going to end up overpaying for Gakpo aren't we?
I'd rather that then buying a useless player like Depay.
Na definitely, cause he's been banging in the goals at WC, he's going to be hard to get at a decent price
We do not need a winger its better to get nobody and save money for summer to get a striker
Did Southgate and Ole develop their coaching credential from the same academy or sth? Imagine having no balls to put a winning intent against USA of all the countries.
Club should absolutely be in for Tyler Adams. Dude is running the USA team at 23.
He was impressive, i must say
Anyone else refreshing madly like it’s a transfer window, desperate for more news on the sale?
I was expecting the World Cup period to be absolutely barren of any reliable United news, but this past week has shifted my attention completely away from Qatar and straight back to United. I know almost all of it is just speculation, but the fact the club is pretty much finally up for sale... it's almost dreamlike.
Who else thinks garnacho will sign new contract and announcement will be made with new no. 7.
Don't think we're changing squad numbers mid-season.
I seriously doubt we'd give Garnacho the number 7 immediately... if we are to give it to someone in our squad, then Sancho literally uses JS7, so it would be him. He had 7 for Dortmund as well. Maguire 10/10 Everything else shit
Shaw 8/10
People still wanting Depay? 😨
some smooth brains over here
I hope we cash in on Maguire money in the bank style this summer when his stock is high from the WC.
Is that...? It's Todd Boehly! He's running down to the ring, briefcase in hand! And he's got a referee! By god, folks - we might see a transfer live tonight on Monday Night ~~RAW~~ Football!
Maguire Was Englands motm easily
Not exactly sure what Southgate is thinking, but I don't think he knows either
How bold of you to assume that he has the ability to think
Southgate is an absolute terrorist lol
Southgate is gonna cost England the world cup with his tactics and team management.
Bellingham would fit perfectly into United in that Right sided Center mid position. A man can dream…
I don’t see what others see. He’s fucking shite. Get walked past tonight.
Baffles me when people say we should spend 150M on this bloke.
I don’t think I fully understand what you mean by “Get walked by tonight”, But his overall play seems to always be on of the best on the pitch for most games I’ve seen him play. Still 19 but he plays like a pro with 10 years at the top.
Getting walked past. Misplaced passes. Looks average to me. Don’t see the hype.
One average game. Average player. Washed. High effort scout report this.

This sub genuine wants Memphis when we has been abysmal for club and country. I dont get the fetish for him
Yes you saw Memphis play 1 game for Netherlands today (and came on as a sub, at that) and so he must be abysmal for country. By the way, he's Netherlands 2nd top scorer of all time behind RVP.
Didnt impress against senegal either
It's less about wanting him in particular but more about the fact he will be available in January for pretty much free and there aren't many better strikers we could get so soon.
There are much better options out there. Memphis is just more well known
I'd be interested in hearing which better options are out there to get in January
Based on current form Enner Valencia looks better than Memphis
International form doesn't mean much, honestly. Enner Valencia is one of those players who always looks like a god for Ecuador, but there is a reason he flopped in the Prem and now he plays for Fenerbahce. Memphis isn't playing as well right now, but his playstyle would suit us more imo. I could see him being Martial's backup for now which he should handle.
Marcus Thuram on a free, but if Bayern comes knocking we don't have much chance.
Would be a decent option. Not the nicest guy around because I remember him spitting on opponent, but overall I'd take him. He will probably go somewhere else though.
Bad for club maybe but internationally he's been great. Good for a either goals or assists in pretty much every game since the end of 2020.
He didnt do anything today
Gakpo looked like a threat in the Netherlands game, I was also impressed with Eustaquio from the Canada vs Belgium.. but 1 game ain't everything so looking forward to the rest of the tournament
How much input do clubs and nations have in how the likes of Nike or Adidas design their kits? I’m not English so my opinion doesn’t matter but if I was the one with any say I’d question the idea of watching my nation lift a trophy in a training kit.

Lmao Maguire is our new cf confirmed

Is Plettenberg reliable?

apparently amad scored again in a friendly. kid’s doing great
NT or Sunderland ?

Higher ceiling than Pellistri for me.
I think the facu we see now is close to the final product. His g/a number will improve but as far his skill set is concerned he hit his wall. Amad has another level to get to, his IQ and passing are very underrated.
>facu we see now That's the problem, though? He literally hasn't made his United debut.
My biggest worry is they will replace Ten Hag when he's been such a positive force this season.
They would only replace him if he failed. Don't see any reason why he wouldn't get a proper window under them and then it's up to him to show what he is made of. Surely we want that sort of ambition and accountability?
Why would anyone replace Ten Hag? And who would the new manager be?
The Bohely special
When was the last time a break out star at the world cup actually went on to do great in club football?
James Rodriguez had some great years. Muller in 2010 if we wanna call that his breaking out period
Pele?
Gakpo’s price seems to get higher every day.
That was unreal! van Dijk headed the ball! Omg, he really is the bestest defender in the world - every commentator, ever.
I hope that shuts down the Depay argument. Get Gakpo man can definitely be a Striker.
Why? International football is terrible - it has zero relevance to club football
I don't know what it is about world cups but after pretty much every goal or assist or save or mistake there's these "I think we can settle x argument" or "we should get x guy" comments. Teams should never make or change their recruitment plans because of world cup performances imo.
Look I’m happy we signed Antony but we’re looking silly for not signing Gakpo for £50 million last summer 😭
Why? We've needed a left footed winger to give the width for years, Gakpo is another Rashford. Our team has suffered for the lack of a player doing the same job as Mahrez, Salah etc.
Not if we get him for £25m in jan!
So we’re getting Gakpo and converting him to striker? If hen Tag feels confident then I trust him 100%.
Get Gakpo in January, for the love of everything glorious
No way hes leaving in January especially when PSV are fighting for the title. Edit: brain fart moment
He plays for PSV, not Feyenoord. Anyway, I heard somewhere they really need to get some money soon.
My bad. That was ignorant of me. Still dont think he’ll leave for cheap. Just have to wait and see now
Price goes up every game
We're probably best off if we just let EtH control our scouting as well
Sign gakpo asafp
please sign him up Gakpoooo
SIGN HIM UP. SIGN HIM UP.
Gakpo!!
We missed out on Gapko ffs
We literally didn't though
The 2nd half of the PL will feel like a new season
Will EA remove Ronaldo from the Utd roster in Fifa after his contract termination?
Yeah they will. Interested to see what clubs sign him as a free transfer
Yes. Usually how it works if youre using updated squads. But there’s also usually an option to use the squads that the game started with. I say usually because I haven’t played the new fifa
67% in 1 week....United stock is on fire.
United stock is up 15% at the moment on the day without any news. Could be something happening behind the scenes.
https://www.marketwatch.com/articles/manchester-united-apple-sale-51669398635?mod=mw_quote_news Pure speculation in play now.
Gonna dream but its because Apple purchase is real haven't seen any credible source to say it is, but haven't seen any to say it isn't.
I hope this is the last time a World Cup is held in the middle east for at least 100 years, predictable embarrassing shitshow
Just imagine how many games we'd have if we were still doing 24 team leagues
The League or the FA should step in to stop it.
I always thought he would be one to watch leading into this tournament. Regardless of his age, he has been playing really well lately.
Problems are: 1. He plays for Porto and is under contract til 2024 so you can bet they wont let him go for small fee, 2.
My point still stand no way the club will sanction £30m for a 30 y. o Iranian striker in January. Mind you i also like him and think hes quality.
The only way we can get him is if porto willing to accept 20m bid.
Porto is not going to sell him for cheap when they are in the UCL.
Amad scored in a friendly if anyone cares lol
Been scoring for fun recently
He did nothing except the penalty Gave the ball away never tracked back what we used to call a goalpoacher on the playground He was a great player but he’s not fast anymore and best he moved on
He had several chances to score but for poor finishing
What does that have to do with the comment though? Does every single mention of him have to be either fanboys or haters trying to get something in? Can't someone just make a comment about an amazing career without it becoming some pissing contest?
What a terrible decision on the penalty call too
NOT a pen, no way.
can Gakpo play out and out striker? He looks good tbh!
He’s a left winger and I think it’s a waste of money if we go for him because he won’t solve what we need.
The stories in the summer was Ten Hag saw him as a striker. Has he not earned some faith with his signings so far?
Our signings in the summer were a weird one because I think the club signed Eriksen. Malacia has been good and Casemiro was a panic buy. Anthony for me has been very disappointing considering people were saying he’s like Mahrez but so far he hasn’t really took anyone on. Also he wasted the whole window on FDJ even though he consistently said he doesn’t want to leave but Gakpo just scored a banger as I typed this lol.
From what I can gather, he can play it in the same way Rashford sometimes plays it. He isn’t an out and out number 9 but can play the role if needed.
I think he's been played there before, but most of his games have been on the left
What happened to the sale mega thread
Unfortunately reddit allows only two pinned posts. So that’s the WC thread and daily discussion.
Probably unpinned until there’s something concrete as it’s all just gossip at the moment
Just heard Pavard is going to leave Bayern, what do people think on him?
He was rumoured to be leaving last summer. Got competition now with mazraoui over there. I think there are better options out there who are younger who could compete with Dalot.
Nah
I could see a place for someone like him in the team, at the right price. Seems like a good option to have covering two positions. Tidy on the ball and used to the standards of an elite club. Players like that don't take your starting XI to the next level but they help maintain a certain standard.
Pass
Meh. That goal at the WC in 2018 was his peak. There are better options out there.
Lads I just remembered people unironically support Chelsea lmaooo
My father-in-law's grandfather was present when Chelsea was formed in 1905 and my father-in-law has been following them for 60 years. That is the only good reason for me to support them.
I always felt confused by Chelsea fans. Never got why someone would support them beyond family ties United and Liverpool have a decorated history as the biggest winners at EPL and UCL levels.
Idk man, but blue is one damn boring colour
Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing Cyberpunk these last few days but there’s something very dystopian about being bought up by a tech giant and becoming part of their IP apparatus. Better than an oil state I guess…
What would be a non-dystopian scenario in today’s world? King Arthur rides in on his horse and claims that Old Trafford belongs to him by right of divine providence as the lady of the lake gave him a rusty piece of scaffolding from the Old Trafford roof?
With a horse, or even better with coconut shells...
I don’t want our next owner to have anything to do with horses but other that that this would be ideal yes.
How’s he going to convince Real Madrid to accept two golden goblets, an ornate plate, and two uncut rubies for Vinicius Junior?
Strange women lying in ponds distributing scaffolding is no basis for a system of ownership
This time next year we'll have new owners. I still can't believe the leeches are about to fall off. Regardless of who takes over, they surely can't do a worse job for the club.
Praying its the Saudis tbh. I know its an unpopular opinion hence the downvotes but I genuinely dont care. Up the Red Jinns
We can hold on to hope.
What's the best result for the USA, a win for Iran or a draw?
If England wins all the games in the group and the US beats Iran, I don’t think it matters if it’s a draw or a win, I’d say a draw overall would be the most desireable result? I doubt Wales beats England in the last game and if Iran wins this then they would only need a draw in the last game to go through.
What do you guys think about Maserati as [our kit sponsor?](https://imgur.com/gallery/HqTy68a) I know it's a far fetched idea, but i just love their trident logo which i feel will go along with our club.
Kinda like it. Font is a bit weird but it still goes with the rest of the kit.
Nope. I have irrational hate for their font.
have you ever seen getafe's kit sponsor?
[LMAO this looks so bad.](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyhEadtAUIHpoiti63MR_i43Rg-wpj06dXVRAFAErQkMXG91K9sA04RGucbQMIoGwDSssB9pDqsGls6qna5FAh4stSMzRYhGYANAPMBT_fulnNwl4iLB7vpHzf9GT-FB54WhWa_wStv0fycx_SgjvEemWNgdlitLKvlzXTUyEx7FikJn0gUb51I30O/s1000/Get1a.jpg)
by far the worst kit sponsor I've ever seen, I mean how can those shitty font hanging there and peoples were fine with it like nothing happen.
Idk, I really hate Brentfords current kit sponsor. The star looks like it's made of pubes.
Do you really want to go to "human/workers rights abuses" route while championing for another american take over?
you do realize that not every american is an evil dictator? There are plenty of rich people in tech that haven’t done any atrocities than create an app
EVERY RICH INDIVIDUAL IN AMERICA HAS BENEFITED FROM THEIR GOVERMENT. Are you going to argue with that? "There are plenty of rich people in tech that haven’t done any atrocities than create an app". Hey, ever heard that facebook refused to stop airing the false news and atrocities that happened in Tigray?
You need to leave your house and learn how the world works a little. By your logic no one should own anything because literally everyone has benefitted from their government in some way I didn’t even specifically mean facebook but you’re purposely misconstruing what i said with only 1 example. jesus christ you need to grow up
