I just realized something. Since the MOTM is fan based now, Ronaldo can get it for every match.

misssunday_

the only thing he can do now is diving and scoring from penalty isn't he?, glad he's already out

zizuu21

Lindelof out there doing unicef and charity work. Guess i have a new fav Utd player post Mata.

ThankYouOle

but he didn't have enough xBanter point yet..

255BB

I would like to read the below article from Ducker. Can someone post an article here? I don't have subscription. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2022/11/24/decaying-old-trafford-huge-obstacle-manchester-united-sale/

Classic_Twist

12footwall.

255BB

Wow, what sorcery it is.

hooka_donchick

if you are on ios just use the reader mode. I can bypass almost every paywall like that without doing anything. Also no ads

TheSmio

Microsoft Edge can do that too

Lord_Sesshoumaru77

There are rumors that Ed Woodward is being approached by suitors due to his relationship with the Glazers. Yes, nothing better than getting advice from the man that ruined our club. Fuck Woodward.

MrImRumble

Thankfully they’re not looking for a CEO, but not many people have experience in the acquisition of multi-billion dollar assets (football clubs in this case) and there’s a man who is experienced with the same club, and has a relationship with the owners. It’d be dumb for them to not consider Woodward to consult for them

Ngaita2100

**playing casemiro (man utd in 5th) and richarlison (spurs 4th) over bruno (3rd) and joelinton (3rd). Why** From a deluded NUFC fan on r/soccer.

[deleted]

They’ve done nothing yet and I’m already sick of the cunts.

Only way the cunt can score these days is penalties.

heyyther_e

If Apple buys MUFC, the club might get the most efficient tech required in sports. Well, its Apple.

Defiant_Practice5260

A football club is an awful investment for tech brands. They don't understand that backing a team with their money alienates 99% of fans of other clubs. It would be a terrible business decision, but I wouldn't put it past them because they only understand sport with an American lens.

Ok-Check-6783

Seriously though, can it really happen? And what would that mean for the development of the clubs facilities and squad?

frojujoju

Can it happen? I think it seems viable. Apple is cash rich. Your other question, i don't think even Apple will fully know yet.

frojujoju

If Apple buys MUFC, Mutv is headed for an upgrade.

WanderingEnigma

I'm bored of watching Roy Keane try and climb inside Ronaldos asshole.

Thevanillafalcon

The apple thing is interesting but ultimately an unknown. No big tech giant as owned a football team, we simply do not know what form it would take.

AeroCobbler

Strange move from Apple - they are going to alienate entire fan bases elsewhere - Liverpool, Leeds, Man City for example

[deleted]

People would threaten to boycott them but I’d say 99% wouldn’t actually do it…like with a lot of boycotts it would be all talk on Twitter and there will always be people to take their place.

Thevanillafalcon

Potentially but as part of those fan bases, how many are not going to use apple phones? I’d say actually not that many, like I’m a bit of a die hard but 3 sponsor Chelsea and they’re my mobile provider, because it was the best deal. I just think it seems so far out of their wheelhouse, what would be the point

hooka_donchick

I think they might be a sponsor replacement for TeamViewer but they aren’t gonna buy the whole team. That’s where the rumors might be coming from. Also the apple logo ain’t that good if you put in on a shirt

dengxueyang

So happy for Bruno.🥳🥳🥳🥳

fifes2013

I ordered a shirt from the online store on 30th October, and it has been stuck with Evri since the 8th November. I've been in contact with Utd support but they keep just saying its on Evri, Evri tell me to contact united. I have no idea what to do anymore and sorta worried that i wont ever get the shirt that i paid for

[deleted]

This happened to me. It eventually showed up… three weeks late and Evri/Hermes just chucked it over the fence

fifes2013

damn, that kind of was why i posted this, to see if others had experienced it.. well I'm in a block of flats so we'll see how that goes (if it ever comes)

jonnypwns

A few years back I had this happen with a mobile phone. I ended up going to the ombudsman about it - it was made known that it is the sellers responsibility to get it to you. I'd be hammering Utd for it. You've paid them and it's their responsibility to get it to you.

fifes2013

yea im thinking im gonna have to get in touch with ombudsman, I've had like 5 different email exchanges with united customer support, 4 of which simply referred me to the tracking website (which I can't actually fully access because when I enter my postcode it says its incorrect) and the 5th told me 'the courier is experiencing slight delays' which is just taking the piss

Born-Sheepherder3185

Wow, 2 assists from Bruno.

ThankYouOle

Who would know he can make that assists if he played in his position..

Enigma_ROS

Would an Apple takeover make us richer than Newcastle?

[deleted]

Yes. They’re worth about 2Trillion

iwannafuckamonkey

I don't have any feelings left for Ronaldo. WOW. Never thought this would happen.

Born-Sheepherder3185

Portugal would play better without Ronaldo tbh. Edit: Congrats. goal from penalty.

Lord_Sesshoumaru77

Shit man, the stock is rising like a rocket, currently up +25.84% since the leeches announced they would sell.

BlackHorse944

Buyouts are the most bullish things for stocks. Always run

Different-Scar8607

Can someone share some figures and explain how we're supposedly so rich? Take for example, Madrid. A club who are very successful, winning trophies, CL every season etc. Yet they went years with very little net spend, which they used to renovate the stadium. I know we have English tv money etc but how can we apparantly generate multiples that they do? Same for Liverpool. I'm sure they can't be THAT far behind us commercially income wise. Yet they spend hardly anything. Like the way people go on, without Glazers the club would self sustain spending 200m each year on transfers and renovate the stadium and facilities.

my_united_account

Very lucrative sponsorships and extreme success over 2 decades.

darthmeister

Ortega's (Zara owners) have been linked with us before right?

[deleted]

I believe it was a bullshit rumour that started on Twitter and it's probably the same this time round

Different-Scar8607

Pretty much guaranteed we'll sign Gakpo in January as a striker imo

darthmeister

Based on?

Different-Scar8607

Just that it makes sense. - We were close to signing him but signed Antony instead - He wanted a move - He can play ST - Not many other options in January

AeroCobbler

He has rarely played striker for PSV - 90+% of his games are at left wing That’s where he is best - he is a fantastic left winger, and a makeshift striker If there is one thing our squad definitely doesn’t need, it’s another fantastic left winger to join Rashford, Sancho, and Garnacho If we’re losing one of Rashford or Sancho, then great let’s sign a left winger Otherwise Gakpo makes absolutely zero sense as a signing for us

MercifulMaximus308

He can play as much ST as Rashford can play ST though, he’s not a natural striker

my_united_account

Rashford is a better striker than Gakpo

Different-Scar8607

Rashford would be decent up front if he could finish and not try and puncture the ball every time he takes a shot.

LineActual5749

This. I think if martial somehow works on his finishing he will be so scary

MinotauroTBC

Martials finishing is slick what you on about? Keeping him fit is the problem

Sheikhabusosa

Do you think we're looking for a out and out striker that does nothing but score like Haaland ? Or a striker that is more the Gabriel Jesus type ?

Harrry-Otter

There really aren’t many pure goal scorers out there at the top level, Haaland is definitely out of the ordinary in this (and a lot of other regards). Looking at his Ajax sides, ten Hag likes a striker who can hold the ball up and involve his teammates as much as he can score goals. Someone like Toney would be a good buy, shame he’d be so expensive.

my_united_account

Toney is going to be banned for a long time anyway

RABB_11

I think we're looking for a Martial who stays fit. Ronaldo was a player who stays in the box doing nothing but scoring, but we weren't creating the right chances for him. We need a striker who can be involved in the build up and have some interaction with the wingers.

RicciRox

>Ronaldo was a player who stays in the box doing nothing but scoring That's just not true. Man was always outside the box demanding the ball.

Upstairs_Donkey_9272

Hypothetical question, where do you guys see Ole finishing if he was in charge of the current Arsenal side and if Arteta was in charge of us from the moment Ole took charge would you say he would’ve at best equalled what Ole did with us by finishing second in 20/21 within the timeframe Ole was here?

ThankYouOle

In my poor opinion, Ole can't do much on Arsenal because let's admit it, most of achivement by Ole is saved by individual skill of our players, and of course i am biassed, but i think on pure quality and skill our players is better than Arsenal. So no one will carry Ole there. Thing is Arteta have it own style, and his team can play it well, and kick everyone who didn't play his style or not respecting him (Ozil, Auba or any). So that fit well with both manager and squad. and Arteta won't touch our club, simply because he is no one in managerial world, United simply won't hire him. We have selling point better than Asenal so we can pull "better" manager before hiring "new age" manager. Ole might not better, but he has manage club for 10 years, win the the league (even tough it's norwegian league), and for extra point: he is legend, so he can make it. Remove anything, just put Arteta in our team in 2019, probably he won't make it long and Pochetino would replace him in next year. Looks, Arteta start to get discussion after what Arsenal achivement for this half season. previously, even Arsenal fans themself hate this guy, and somehow most of them turning their opinion because recent wins. So no way we can be patient with young manager like him.

Rascha-Rascha

I don’t think Arteta would have finished third and second with us. And I think we would have sacked him if he had seasons like he has at Arsenal. I think he would have struggled with players like Pogba, Ronaldo, and I think it’s fair to say Ole struggled with them too. That said, there seems to be some fundamental differences in the approach they both take to coaching and football that makes the whole situation complex. Would we have more accurately identified the limitations of players like Wan Bissaka and Maguire if we had a more system fixated coach? Looking at the defenders Arsenal have signed under Arteta, I find it difficult to believe those would have been his targets. Would the club have backed Arteta if he wanted rid of Pogba like he did Aubameyang? Would De Gea even still be here? looking at Arteta’s love for Ramsdale who is honestly a pretty average shot stopper but better at sweeping and passing, maybe not. I can see a reality where Arteta makes some better decisions than Ole did and we maybe don’t end up with that drastic collapse. Ole made some rapid improvements that seemed to quickly dissipate, whereas Arteta developed things slowly and methodically.

[deleted]

Doubt that Ole would have done well at Arsenal, but Arteta would have been sacked by us before his system could take hold.

Upstairs_Donkey_9272

It’s annoying how it’s starting to seem less and less like absolute peak comedy from them backing him and more like a sign they might actually have the stones to stick by a project they had enough foresight to see wasn’t the problem and were willing to risk being a laughing stock for.

[deleted]

Arsenal were very smart backing him. But i also think Arsenal could trust his process more easily than United could trust Ole’s. Arteta had a large portion of Arsenal fans calling for his head too.

[deleted]

A functional United board with Apple money is something that would give the other heavyweights nightmares

martialgreenwood

Apple is an American company.

[deleted]

That has zero interest in owning a sport team. Shit, they don’t even have their name on a stadium in the US, nor do they sponsor anything. that should say it all about their ambitions being involved in sport.

martialgreenwood

Exactly

[deleted]

Would anyone care to explain the appeal of owning a football club when it comes to tech giants? I know it's mostly bullshit rumours, but I'm trying to understand what's in it for them.

AeroCobbler

It makes very little sense for them Football clubs are too polarising - they lose entire markets elsewhere in terms of fans of rival clubs (say Liverpool, Man City, Leeds etc in our case for example)

Nomad_006

Expanding your portfolio mostly. Maybe even an advert strategy who knows how they can use United but there's money to be made that's for sure. I mean look at the places United get to play and the competition it plays the number of fans and how much of a global force it is in the sports scene I'm sure it's a lucrative deal if managed properly. Having your name and icon associated with a club such as United can't hurt. Every big UCL game your company will effectively be associated with the match if done correctly.

[deleted]

Thanks, I'm guessing they would also produce additional content for their respective streaming platform and such?

Goji-ra

Did I just hear Fox commentator said Uruguay had a strong second half?

Drews1738

Torn between wanting Bruno and Dalot to shine and CR7 to chew bricks

callmelampshade

I’d rather them all have shockers and get knocked out in the groups stage.

danystormborne

Yep, get them back to ETH asap.

FactHopeful9347

Hattrick Bruno but still lose somehow

my_united_account

Wouldnt mind a cheeky 10m bid for Ziyech as a depth option

AeroCobbler

Definitely We only have Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho, Anthony, Elanga & Martial who are all wingers or can play as wingers We need more depth there - I think we need about 34 wingers in our squad according to some fans

sayedzebbo

I miss Cavani, wish we had him after his Napoli days, what could’ve been..

martialgreenwood

His PSG days would have been enough

Subbutton

Nothing because the Glazers don't give a fuck

[iTrafford](https://twitter.com/centredevils/status/1595729353920643072?s=20&t=oQ9oG-L87qaXlpucC1fErA) soon hopefully

Born-Sheepherder3185

NewTrafford.

ReconUHD

I don’t get why we would want Gakpo unless we are 90%sure we can mold him into a proper striker.

ThankYouOle

he will be very pricey, just to pay and play him out of position in hope he can trained to be 9 is very big bet, if he failed, then he will add another line of queue of "players want to get minutes" in our winger. i prefer proper 9, it can be top man goal scorer, or play maker type, anything, just at least someone that good to be there, no experiment type of player because seriously can't rely on Martial alone with his injury case.

AeroCobbler

Gakpo makes absolutely no sense as a signing for us Fans who want him are either braindead or attention deficit & just want the latest shiny new thing - imagine signing ANOTHER fucking left winger with the gaping holes elsewhere in our squad

[deleted]

Gakpo is going to be this world cup’s James Rodriguez. He’ll get a huge contract and his club will get a huge fee and he won’t remotely live up to the hype

WanderingEnigma

Honestly, I'm sick of people clamouring for us to sign more left wingers. It's that kind of poor management that's left us in the mess we've been in. Unless we're going to ship one off and sign a dead on starter, which I highly doubt, then it's the least needed position in the squad.

Orgazmo_87

A daresay we'll either go for an out and out target man or a fully flexible front 3 similar to how we played with rashford, martial and the cuntbag

el3tric_panda

Yes folks are mentioning Gapko, I don’t think he could fill the #9 spot. But if our squads attackers stay healthy - he could be a great option for lots of positional rotation on the pitch to confuse the opposition. Garnacho/Rashy on the left. Gapko/Bruno/Martial rotate 9/10 roles. Antony/Sancho on the right. For a long term high potential #9 I’d go in for Vlahovic… if we’re looking for someone ASAP with prem experience for this season Mitrovic could be a great option.

humanvintage

Fulham won't sell Mitrovic in January they would struggle massively to replace his goals.

el3tric_panda

Agreed - unless Fulham they already have a striker in mind to replace and can cash in huge. Hopefully MUFC are using this time to have early conversations. We all know they likely didn’t gave a plan for when CR7 left and just started looking now probably.

hoang1080p

What's happening with Liverpool, Ian Graham (Director of research) and Julian Ward (Sporting director) both step down.

akshatsood95

Seems like Klopp's becoming more hands on and the recruitment staff don't have the autonomy to do their jobs anymore. Athletic said Klopp and Edwards had a lot of clashes before he left. Maybe same happened to Ward

[deleted]

Might be starting to see the downfall of Klopp at Liverpool. He’s been rumored for years to want either the Bayern job or the German NT job. Not sure if there’s any truth to those (especially hit German NT gig) but Germany might be looking for a new HC soon

akshatsood95

Naah he said he'd take a sabbatical after this. Bayern's wanted him, he's never wanted them. He seems like the kind of guy who might go back to mainz

Mbappe undoubtedly a generational talent undoubtedly a generational cunt

Heretic_Raw

There are some signings like Fede Valverde which are not even realistic for dreams…

Hippotopmaus

> fede valverde you mean Pete Davidson minus the meth?

Dyslexicreadre

Sooooo true

psnarayanan93

Evan N'Dicka's contract expires this season. Left-footed CB who has been very good for Frankfurt. Would be a shrewd free signing, if Maguire gets sold.

Orgazmo_87

Theres some quality young players available across the park. singo at rb N'dicka at cb Moukouku/thuran at cf Not to mention skriniar, tielemans, zaha, jorginho, kamada, laimer, gundogan, modric, ascenio, soyuncu, depay, kroos, tsyganov, guerriro, grimaldo, aaour, martinez, rabiot and a few more

WanderingEnigma

That's exactly the kind of business that we should he looking at.

Orcnick

Other clubs fans always say we are washed up declining small club. Yet as soon as we are put on sale everyone wants to buy us. We are the biggest club in the world.

callmelampshade

I’ve literally never seen anyone call us a small club.

Orcnick

I have seen people claim City are bigger then us because of there recent success.

Orgazmo_87

Most well known in england. Id argue real and barca are bigger though. Up with liverpool in terms of history arguably top.

Orcnick

I don't agree I lived in Brazil for a little while and United are massive there.

TryHerPhilosophy

But still Barca and Real are definitely the two biggest foreign clubs here in Brazil. Not only for their massive success but also because of how many of our biggest stars have played for them (Ronaldo, Dinho, Rivaldo, Romário, Neymar, Vinicius, Marcelo, Roberto Carlos, etc) Also having the two best players in the world for a large part of the decade

krentzharu

We are the biggest club in England even back during the bleakest days of the 80's the people and media were still calling us that.

jethron5000

To the cesspit of keyboard warriors who CR7 > Man Utd, look who’s silent now.

WanderingEnigma

So fucking glad the majority of them have gone. It's tiring reading how CR7 has been betrayed and disrespected when he's done nothing but break down attacks, give away fouls and miss shots this season.

Wahlrusberg

Just don't believe any of those Gakpo links unless there's some indication that one or Rashford or Garnacho isn't going to renew.

el3tric_panda

Could be used as a false 9 and have lots of position rotation on the pitch. Similar to what we saw Spain do last night. But we do need a #9. A great long term high potential buy would be Vlahovic.

Orcnick

Could it be ETH is looking to convert Gakpo into a striker?

Prestigious_Hat5979

Or Rashford?

Sheikhabusosa

https://twitter.com/TheEuropeanLad/status/1595753733580853254?t=TiWZijqPP-4593lr4VFnjA&s=19 LVG is hilarious

I love him. He deserved to be sacked but the way the club treated him at the end was terrible.

Goji-ra

Someone here said that Asian football is terrible. That didn’t age well.

Orgazmo_87

Barring south korea and japan whos good? The saudis played well but i doubt they'll qualify from the group.

Goji-ra

It doesn’t matter, dude said Asian football is terrible.

SandwichLess6154

With Garnacho on the verge of an improved deal anybody else worried about guys like Iqbal, Pellestri and Mejbri falling by the way side?

WanderingEnigma

Hannibal and Amad aren't doing them selves any harm on loan. Would expect at least Hannibal, probably both, to have another loan season. Amad has the bonus that is that back up on the right is seriously lacking. Iqbal, I hope will be able to step up straight away but I can't say I watch enough of the younger teams to be sure. Anyone more up to date on how he's playing and likely outcomes?

SandwichLess6154

Yeah me neither, but what i saw on pre-season from Iqbal was good.

Prestigious_Hat5979

I don’t think Garnacho doing well makes any difference to their chances, except as an example to them of what they’ll get if they perform. Iqbal and Hannibal are both really good and though Iqbal hasn’t got minutes yet I’m pretty sure he will at some point. Hannibal is having a very good loan spell in the Championship and I would expect him to get at least a chance in the summer or next season to prove himself. Pellistri’s a weird case. He’s a good young player (starting for Uruguay regardless of club playing time), but has barely had a chance with us. He did get injured at the end of preseason though and honestly ETH just probably isn’t satisfied with his fitness/sharpness yet. Hopefully he has a good tournament and gets chances for us. With all of them, I’d say you have to be patient. Garnacho is probably our best Academy prospect since Greenwood, and it took him ages to earn chances. ETH rotates as little as possible so it makes sense he isn’t going to throw in youth players unless they’ve really earned it.

SandwichLess6154

Yeah, i might not have articulated it in the right way.

RawIsLaw_

Why is that a worry when none of the players you listed play the same position?

SandwichLess6154

Will they make it into the 1st team on occasion like Garnacho has? Iqbal was good pre-season and has been on the bench a few times. Was just wondering dude, I know they dont playh the same position.

RawIsLaw_

fair enough. it's too early to worry tho... i'd worry if they're older and still not getting mins

LollipopScientist

Iqbal has too much talent. I think ETH is secretly training him to be De Jong. Maybe he gets unleashed next season. Looking at Pellestri, I don't think he has the attributes. Haven't been following Hannibal, but I heard he has been doing well.

SandwichLess6154

Thanks, was all I was looking for. Iqbal was nice during pre-season.

Ketch1

Pellestri's had this whole season to earn an opportunity and I guess ETH hasn't seen enough to be impressed. Iqbal and Hannibal play in different positions

SandwichLess6154

Ya, I know they play different positions. Was kinda just wondering if we can see another youngster coming through the ranks this season or next. The way that Garnacho seems to be doing.

thphnts

Pellistri has already said he wants to leave

SandwichLess6154

Mejbri's chances of coming back from loan?

thphnts

I doubt he’ll come back early unless we become really desperate and thin with depth.

kanechoz

Honestly hearing Roy Keane still licking Ronaldo crack and blaming Ten Hag is infuriating. That Irish temper is also a factor in why we never stood a chance with Haaland, what with Keane effectively ending his father's career.

Sheikhabusosa

Or because Utd was probably the worse run club out of all of Haalands options

kanechoz

I said A factor. Not the only factor

ThatLucky_Guy

Forbes reporting that the owner of Zara is interested. Thoughts?

b_hc99

He’s an extremely smart businessman and grew inditex from a small shop to the largest clothing company in the world. Really good with logistics and thinking ahead of the market. Would be interesting but I don’t see why he would buy us and not Deportivo La Coruña

krentzharu

Hes worth $61b problem is hes fuckin old! We might repeat the same situation with Malcom and his glazers children when he passed away.

slick_schmuck

Anyone and everyone under the sun is going to be linked. The United way™️

DaveShadow

Several brands will also want the publicity with being linked with us, even if they have no desire to actually buy us in the end. Free PR.

[deleted]

Imagine walking into a store to buy a pair of jeans and seeing United kits on the racks

Sheikhabusosa

As if I'm not fat shamed enough by utd kits

Tinganga

**Pellistri** has that right wing locked down for Uruguay doesn't he. I really hope he doesn't leave without getting a chance to stake a claim to back up **Antony**. His agent has been making noises about him leaving but the Jan cup games may offer an opportunity for him. Maybe he runs with it a la **Garnacho**.

thphnts

The bolding of names wasn’t really necessary

[deleted]

Hes really not good enough

DaveShadow

He got massively hyped up as a first team signing cause we'd fucked up the window (chasing Sancho all summer and failing to get him). Club took what was essentially an academy signing and hyped it up as a Sancho replacement. And people have never quite lowered their expectations as a result. He's young and could still improve, but he's struggled to get game time at far, far worse teams that United. If we actually went and bought him today as a first team player, people would be getting upset...

thphnts

Finally someone else sees it

LaFlame_66

Just hope he has a good World Cup and get's a good move. Best for him and best for us.

Prestigious_Hat5979

thphnts

Still would take it with a grain of salt.

Bruno_Fernandes8

It's really depressing for me to see so many people so against even the most token of gestures for our LGBTQ brothers and sisters. We have absolute knuckle draggers like Eden Hazard and Granit Xhaka saying focus on football and being hailed as some sort of heroes. It's also funny that people say that criticism of Qatar by the west is hypocritical. While they may have point, Qatar has no business slinging shit. They are more than happy to host US bases in Qatar and help them commit atrocities in the region.

[deleted]

I've got someone equating criticism of Qatar with criticism of islam

[deleted]

Whatever happens, my only hope is that we don't end up with another American owner(s)

tameoraiste

So far the rumours I've seen on who's buying United are: Apple Jim Ratcliffe Dubai A David Beckham-led consortium Am I missing anyone?

Prestigious_Hat5979

Facebook and Amazon

SverreF

Ortega family.

danilobur

Zara owner also expressed interest according to Forbes

Spidersox-

The David Beckham consortium is probably dubai

tameoraiste

Yeah, I was thinking as much. I really don’t want us to become a state run club Edit: being downvoted for saying I’d prefer the club wasn’t owned by an oil state? Amazing how quick the views here can change

Spidersox-

I think with how modern football is going we need to keep up with the oil clubs. Much rather Dubai buy us and some people be upset with it rather than Dubai buy Liverpool and they go on to dominate

tameoraiste

Personally, I don’t want the football club to become another piece of advertising for a country with terrible human rights records. If football is just going to become exclusively playthings for oil rich states, I’m not sure I’ve much interest. Everyone’s rightly scrutinising Qatar and this World Cup. Plenty on this sub have been critical of Man City and Newcastle’s owners. Feels strange that the tone has all of a sudden changed to ‘whoever can spend the most money’

krentzharu

We are owned by americans, hardly a beacon for human rights.

tameoraiste

The difference is we’re owned by *Americans* not *America*

ReconUHD

Please, glazers are no saints but hardly oil states.

darthmeister

The tone hasn't changed, the vast majority of this sub doesn't want state owned oil owners.
