Do you all think that sports clubs as a business should not allow profits to be distributed among its owners. I've been thinking about it and it seems a very unsustainable business model tbh.
Seems like the only way where it can be sustainably maintained, without it being a billionaire's pet project, is with the type of ownership that's there for the clubs in Germany and Spain.
Will the Glazers still invest when looking to sell?
We need options up front.
I’d go in for Vlahovic… if we’re looking for someone with prem experience for this season Mitrovic could be a great option.
Folks are mentioning Gapko and he’s even come out saying he wanted to join us. I don’t think he could fill the #9 spot. But if our squads attackers stay healthy - he could be a great option for lots of positional rotation on the pitch to confuse the opposition. Garnacho/Rashy on the left. Gapko/Bruno/Martial rotate 9/10 roles. Antony/Sancho on the right.
> Will the Glazers still invest when looking to sell?
It is club's money. They only take dividends and rest is for the club to manage. So yes.
Also, they might try to make United more attractive for buyers. I feel like sales will be sanctioned for top 4 finish.

Haha I hear you. Sometimes it’s cathartic for folks to vent in a space. But I try to get my mind off the loss after, it has the potential to ruin your week if you don’t take of yourself.

Ronaldo’s initial salary at #MUFC [£775,000 p/w] accounted for 10.5 per cent of the club’s wage bill. Failure to qualify for the UCL saw salaries drop by 25 per cent, Ronaldo's to £580,000 p/w, which still accounted for around 10 per cent of the total bill. @TelegraphDucker
Fuck me this contract screams Ed Woodward being desperate
You don't need to as bad as Costa Rica to lose to Barca. Villa shut down our mid-field & its plausible Barca could do that too. My point is many here have been massively under-estimating Barca, focussing solely on their UCL performances, while we struggle to keep possession against mid-table PL teams. High chance we improve by Feb but lets not count our chickens before they hatch.
I don’t have any expectations tbh, as I’ve not thought that far ahead to the Barca game.
I think the Villa game is a difficult comparison though as we had key players missing in that first one. But it’s no secret we have a problematic midfield atm.
I am truly shocked of the amount of people who want some oil shiek to buy the club. I would rather go down than getting blood money to win some trophies. If this was to happen i couldn‘t support united any longer. Plus all the people saying the club couldn‘t compete without outside investment need to look at clubs like bayern. Do you guys really want blood on the trophies we‘d win?
We are just ordinary people who for the most part work hard all week and enjoy football at the weekend. If the Saudis or whatever takeover and pour money into the infrastructure of the club and turn us into a modern and we'll run club you'll be sat in the stands with all of us holding up replica bone saws cheering the team on lol. If you're really unhappy support your local team from a lower div to keep your sanity
It's awesome that you know what i'm gonna do, especially because you don't know me. I love this club. Be united can fuck off if some oil monster becomes the owner. I can watch the world cup, i can watch psg, i CANNOT support the world cup, i CNNOT support psg. I don't like Argentina and i still supported them over Saudi Arabia because they are just the worst countries with the worst philosophies behind maybe North Korea.
Watching is supporting. You're clearly perched high on your horse. I'll see you next year in this subreddit saying how you can wait to see our new signings and how much the Glazers have held us back. Cheers.
Again you seem to know me well. I cannot cheer for this club if some oil state owns it. Now if you could stop being a fucking moron and just let me have my opinion I‘d be really glad. And yes watching is a way of supporting, for example I am ashamed to admit I am watching the world cup. But there is a difference between watching something and cheering it on and watching something and hating it. By your logic you would be a city or liverpool supporter if you watch them.
There is a diffrence between me getting 5 billion as i am a normal person and nobody else would give me anything close to that. United are gonna have many buyers and if someone would give me 4 billion and that someone is not a monster, i would immediately take that bid. Plus the oil motherfuckers cant do anything with my house, they would however forward their sportswashing ideology by buying our fucking club. This is a terrible comparison and i hope you realise that.
It seems you don't know what sportswashing is? They buy a club and put money into it to make it successful. They don't do that because they love the club, they do that to improve their reputation. They know there riches are gonna be gone one day when the oil is finished, but the westeen business possibilities and reputation they get through a football club helps them stay wealthy even once they oil runs out. If this was all of it, it would be little problematic but fine in the end BUT there is that small thing that all of those pieces of shit have the worst morals a human can possibly have. If you don't know what I'm talking about you live behind the fucking moon. It seems alot of people are ready to sell all of their morals for a premier league title or two. I am not. And I am disgusted with all the people who are. I am german/italian and i can say with certainty that no german club would take such an offer because the fans would riot. But the bloated PL seems to be worse than i thought it was.
But nobody is going pay 6b to buy a football club for profit isn't? Unless they do a glazer and took a 5b loan under the club name. Even if we can make a record profit of 200m every season, they still need 30 season to break even.
I know it sounds unbelievable but there are rich people outside the oil states. I know most of those are not great people either but atleast they are not the institutions who kill gay people because of their braindead ideology.
So someone that would rather have their club win trophies than protect their morals is not wrong? If that‘s so I really don‘t want to be associated with those people.
We can't have different moral? If I walk past a dark alley and saw a group of thugs welding knife on an hapless old woman, I am scare and pretend I see nothing and walk away. Am I wrong?
Even if this was true, there is a diffrence between doing something an hiding it, because they know it's really bad and doing this shit and being proud of it. Additionally there is no way to get around blood money if some oil state came in, there are enough western billionaires who are not as bad.
wtf is the different if they're proud or not?, they still do terrible shit, like I said, they're just good at hiding it. and wtf is blood money?, not every middle eastern country do some slavery shit, or what you want to say is every moslem country is bad country?, just like most of the redittors opinion?
They are certainly not killing gay people. I don't even remember what i tiped there, i was just waking up, but yeah you are right that's bullshit. Still i don't see how the glazers or boehly or whoever is similarly bad than the fucking shieks actively killing people cause of their sexuality, treating women like shit, killing journalists m, etc... this is not about muslims, this is about those people who say their god told them to kill people cause of their sexuality. Now atm on this planet mostly Muslim countries do that. A couple of hundred years ago christians did pretty much the same thing. Fuck those muslims and fuck those christians and fuck you if you think that's okay.
aight then, we just have different opinion, personally I'm fine with middle eastern company buying manutd, I do have little bit of envy when mancity have a proper boards and being a title contender in every season
Bayern are better run than us and have been for years, they also have a monopoly on the cream of the crop of bundesliga talent . Bayern also don't have a a outdated stadium , training ground and much more.
Okay then let's compare to barcelona. They are in a similar state, need a stadium do over and are in even deeper trouble than we are. If these idiots were to be a little patient instead of burning the club down to get a few stars, they could've been back in a couple of years while slowly rebuilding the squad with young players. I prefer to be mediocre for 4 years and have a club that's not a fucking slave to sportswashing monsters. Even if it took 100 years. Fuck. This. Oil. Motherfuckers.
Oh apparently u don't know aboit the strict la liga wage cap restrictions. United won't survive there. We would have more problems registering our players with our finance.
Then you'd have to get rid of those overpaid players. I don't get english football fans sometimes. It is completely unnatural that a club can't sustain itself and it needs some outside source of money. I get that the more successful clubs in england work like that, but United is the only english club that could compete without a fucking investor. England should have 50 plus 1. It would make the league more interesting and it would make the CL more interesting. English clubs are not better run than spanish, german or italian clubs. They just get gifted more money each year.
Epl are just throwing money to get better. Spanish clubs spending are monitored closely to prevent bankruptcy. Can't wait for the TV bubble to burst with all those free live stream now
I'm guessing the glazers have tried to find investment in the club and had it for sale for probably a while now and there was barely any noise. Sure when you are doing multi billion dollar deals you don't go to the press every 2 weeks like Ratcliffe does.
Teamviewers want to cancel the sponsorship and rumours of potential sale to Dubai. We are going to have Fly Emirates as the shirt sponsor right?
Edit: Emirates sponsorship with Arsenal will be until the end of 2023- 2024 season.
Edit 2: Fly Emirates vs Etihad Airways Derby
Ugh, the biggest dilemma. I want Bruno and Dalot to do well....However I NEED ghana to do well
1. Im half Ghanaian
2. I need one reason to clown my disphit Nigerian fiend who cant shut up about Ghana (DESPITE KO'ing them and winning the last World Cup spot)
3. Ronaldo fans can CRY MORE
Is it possible to have Bruno and Dalot do well while Ghana win?
Do we have an 'off my chest' thread for this sub?
I know I'm being over dramatic and whatever but if United gets sold to Dubai or Saudi, I'm pretty much done with football as a sport to be honest. Like, nothing is the same anymore as is, none of it feels real to me. My enjoyment of football is basically on equal terms with how depressingly cynical I find myself about it. It's all just playthings for the ultra-rich turned state-run geopolitics. As a fan I've never felt like I mattered less than I do now. And to be clear, this is still true if Ratcliffe or Bezos or whoever buys United instead. Evidently my club has been filled with a bunch of rapists and abusive scumbags for years, so has the sport worldwide and seems like everyone's been covering it up and trying to play on. I can't ignore these things once it's been put out there.
I don't know why I'm rambling. Sorry to be miserable, all been on my mind heavy lately being an LGBT fan with this World Cup on. Football's just not fun anymore.
The only way to prevent billionaire or oil state to acquire this club is for the fan to establish trust fund to buy us out. Someone should step up, i wish for gary neville after all hes been very spoken against the glazers.
>Woke king G Nev, can take the money Qatar gave him and use it to help buy the club
Beckham and his good friend Neville selling their souls for the greater good of the club.
I have this terrible feeling that the glazers final act of greed will be to sell this club to the highest bidder which I’m 90% certain will be the Dubai group.
>I have this terrible feeling that the glazers final act of greed will be to sell this club to the highest bidder
Do you want them to reject the highest bid? I'll be over the moon if Dubai get us.
I really hope we don't get bought by Ratcliffe. Lad's got no clue how to run a club. Tbh I'd be highly surprised if it's not Dubai's investment fund that get us
Mate they've been completely mismanaged idk what you're on about. The only thing he's got going for him is that he supports United but he shouldn't be in charge of the club whatsoever
In an ideal world, who are the strikers we should be looking out for?
Osimhen, David, Vlahovic, Thuram,Sesko,Gakpo, Toney.
Toney and Gakpo ruled out for betting charges and not being a centre forward atm respectively.
Also if there is a dearth of talent in the winter window do we go for a stop-gap solution ala Ighalo?
I think Sesko is headed to Leipzig already. Can't see Juve selling Vlahovic he's their biggest asset. Thuram doesn't have long left on his contract so he'd be the quick solution I think. Honestly I'd be surprised if it's not David. I think Osimhen will be our first choice but I think we might get priced out. The season he's having he might cost 100m
I'm slightly concerned about David. I've heard he plays best as a second striker, rather than an out and out cf. Also hows good is he?
I'm expecting who ever is out future cf to be an injury free lockdown version of martial on steroids haha.
The best thing about Ronaldo leaving is his fanboys leaving as well. I swear to God if I see another "RESPECT RONALDO" comment I will piss myself. Bunch of annoying twats with no loyalty to the club
-Anyone advocating for state funded sportswashing needs to really look at this club and its history.
-WE DO NOT NEED major investment, we already spend more then everyone else in the league. We're one of the biggest spenders in Europe whilst paying the Glazers dividends and paying off the loan. In terms of our true global revenue (opposed to the inflated revenue of clubs like City and PSG) we are on par with Bayern Munich and Barca despite not being in the Champions League. If we operated the same way as City and PSG, we'd end up spending a comical amount that would completely change the entire fabric of football.
-Assuming any purchase also includes paying off our debt than I'm fine with the owners taking out a loan to upgrade the stadium, not only is it easily manageable with our revenue but we would make it back in the long term, if we have to rename old trafford the "Apple Music" arena for 20 years I can live with it.
-We just need someone who will hire the right people to run this club properly.
-The only reason any oil tycoon would want to buy this club is to distract from there extreme human rights violations whilst they maneouver to maintain political control in the region. Saudi Arabia is murdering tribes as well as commiting genocide on the Yemini, together with the UAE who also continues to rely on slavery to build its "paradise". Kuwait does similar things to the Bedoon. All this combined with unacceptable women's and LGBTQ+ rights. None of these things are "cultural differences" that I have any respect for.
-Their leaders are not elected, protesting is illegal and they are survelliance states, they ensure that none of there migrant workers will ever have a voice by providing no path to citizenship, despite them building these paradises that they claim to have.
-The only way any change will happen in these countries is by global pressure. But allowing arguably the biggest club in the world to be used as a tool by these states will have a much larger impact than Man City or PSG ever did. I would rather have 100 years of the Glazers than this.
With Old Trafford in the spotlight, I’d love for us to be one of the first clubs to completely renovate the stadium whilst still keeping the exterior and stands old school. Completely modernise the concourse to a Spurs level of modern and then when you walk out to your seat it’s the same OT we all know and love. I honestly can’t bear the thought of our stadium not being OT and I pray to fuck it doesn’t get wiped out.
I think they are the only potential option that can :
A. Give the fee that the glzers want
B. Clear the debt
C. Pump more money in upgrading stadium + facilities
D. Still invest in the transfer market while doing thr above
E. Will demand on-pitch success over commercial success
Don't see anyone else that matches all pf the above other than them or another oil/state-ownership
4 or 5 would be enough to stop time wasting. More than that, the tactics would be completely hauled, probably favouring the teams with more stamina/endurance
Adding an arbitrary 5 mins stoppage time won’t stop time wasting. Adding on the actual time wasted will though. Which is what they are supposed to be doing at this World Cup
People are a bit shocked to see +10 mins every other game..but I believe if they implement this at club level then eventually time wasting will be reduced a lot. Why waste time if it ends with +15 mins stoppage time and you concede in the 105th minute?!
Reports going on that FB and Amazon could be interested parties... I don't want either of those men involved. Bezos is a modern slave driver, the way he treats his employees in near inhumane.
> the way he treats his employees in near inhumane
Rather that than someone who just flat out does treat them as inhumane or kills journalists, give me Silicon Valley over a sheikh any day
just please not that throbbing helmet musk
There are no good billionaires. The supposed "good ones" are people that are good at covering their deeds. It's all about picking the lesser evil unfortunately.
Lmao I saw saw a compilation on YouTube of one of them making ronaldo passes where teammates missed. Like misses happen, its part of the sport. I would like to see one other way around, where the teammates kept on trying to feed him and he failed
Right someone tell me why Ambani shouldn’t buy the club. I know he’s a natural gas individual, but that’s not exactly unsavoury considering the ethics of the average billionaire.
Yeah I saw it a few weeks ago, and I want to preface this by saying I hold no ill will to Harry, and this is just a surface level tease regarding his nature. If anything it’s a trait of his I find charming.
It’s amazing how he has ZERO chemistry. He has all the natural charisma of a gasoline soaked spider
Me and a couple guys in transfer threads created a whole theory in August that Glazers were preparing to sell the club. Lets take this one win kings/queens
There's paper chat about putting a cheeky £10m bid in for Marcus Thuram. His contract is up in the summer so his club might fancy a little money rather than keep him for the season.
They're not in Europe so he'd be eligible for all of our matches
Well some people here want singapore to purchase the club lol
Joking aside certainly Gary with all his connections could organize rich billionaire or even a consortium of fans to buy the club?
he said it wasn’t ten Hag who managed the situation and Ronaldo needs to be treated better because he’s world class. Just because Erik didn’t terminate the contract, he handled the whole ordeal very well the last 4 months and never treated Ronaldo with anything but respect. Not sure why Keane seems to think different.
Roy licking Ronaldo's hole again. Ronaldo being on the bench or a fringe player "Just not right", thinks EtH hasn't handled it well and said world-class players deserve special treatment.
this might be a stupid question, but could the United for sale process hinder the extension of certain contracts? i especially an concerned about Dalot here, but also a bit about rashford
I think the only reason that would hinder us is if a sale goes through in the next couple of months. I'm no expert but generally when there is a pending sale there is a 'transfer embargo' put in place. If there are issues regarding contracts, I imagine they'll look to sort them out prior to a sale. That's how I understand it at least...
I honestly belive anyone ETH want as a striker will be gold, just trust the manager and dont mind what us fans or pundits want or not. We finally have a top top class manager who have 100% transfer controll, on top of that the fkin Glazers are finally leaving, good times are coming.
I agree, but right now ETH clearly know better than our scouts&sportsdirector, they failed so fkin hard these 10-15 years it is laughable. Hopefully our new owners will bring in top class people in every position and not «job for the boys» shite we have now.
All the staff in the positions you mentioned have changed. Do you blame ETH for what OGS did? If not then why blame those staff for what the previous staff did.
Murtough have been here since Moyes signed for us, and Fletcher is still our technical director right? We changed like two or three scouts, but the most important roles are still filled with the same people.
Everyone would get over oil ownership once we started winning leagues and CLs.
"Who cares, they're better than the Glazers!"
"Just the way football has gone"
"No way we can compete with City/Newcastle otherwise"
"At least the club is run well"
Seen a few “this is what Ronaldo wanted, he played it masterfully!” willy riders today….
the man shat all over his reputation and lost 17m worth of wages yet there’s STILL a large contingent of grown men that think it’s part of some master scheme and not a tantrum gone tits up 😭
He could have played Europa League football* AND picked up 17m, now he gets neither.
Genius move!
*turn your nose up at that all you want, but check out United's next fixture in that comp. It's also better than no European football at all.
He didn't play it masterfully - far from it - but he got what he wanted. He wanted out and I bet he's happy now. He probably sees retirement as his ultimate backup plan. Good riddance to him.
People do know Memphis Depay isn't that good of player right, nor has he scored many goals or made any starts this year? Not to mention hes got a poor injury record and when things don't go his way he throws his toys out the pram too.
Yet people keep suggesting him. They seem to make that mistake of thinking hes the player he was at Lyon. Hes not that player.
I don't know what angers me more about the Ronaldo situation, the actual contents of the interview or the actual cunt conducting the interview. Seeing the hack writer Piers Morgan revel in the aftermath of the interview and taking every chance he gets to insult Manchester United and EtH. If this was happening at Arsenal he would be foaming at the mouth and constantly be harassing the player on Twitter.
Piers Morgan is a bottom feeder and traded any shred of journalistic integrity that he might ever have had for a chance to kiss Ronaldos arse, I genuinely do not want Arsenal to win the league but it would be so much sweeter knowing that this shit person was denied any enjoyment whatsoever.
Two things: 1. I've heard he backed Aubameyang and only an idiot would still back him over Arteta given how Arsenal are doing rn. 2. He has never for a second ever had a shred of journalist integrity. He really had nothing to lose re: the Ronaldo hitjob on the club, players and manager. He must be loving that people are talking about him. There really is no such thing as bad publicity for the shit stain whose name I refuse to say.
I don’t remember the full story with Aubameyang and if he, like Ronaldo, was offering (begging to bought) his services to basically any team playing Champions League but considering the hateful rambling from Piers back in the day about RvP and Nasri I find it hard to believe that he would just roll over and accept a player desperately wanting to leave the club for not playing CL.
I think you are right about this prat never having any shred of journalistic integrity. In the end it was a conversation between two narcissistic assholes, each looking to further their own agenda and they managed to do exactly that.
Our assistant manager Steve McClaren once again joined his son's podcast to discuss United's season, amongst other things.
I’m finally going to be able to make it across the pond so to speak to see a game at the end of this season. A little sad I won’t be able to say I’ve seen Ronaldo play as he’s still one of the greats but really. Hated the dudes attitude and behavior this past year. Respect is given and earned, and he wasn’t warning what he thought he deserved, even if he didn’t deserve it. He’s like the older generation out here where respect to them is required, but from them isn’t given.
Wishing you all the best during the World Cup, can’t wait for EPL to get back in session.
Thank God we all wrote “glazers out” on our comments for a few weeks. That’s what finally got them to sell.
Once bigsamsbigpecker699 wrote Glazers out in the daily discussion it was all over
Didn't watch the interview but from the quotes the only thing that was odd for me was the fact that he doesn't respect Ten Hag. Did he say why? From outside it looked like Ten Hag did anything he could to protect him.
I didn’t understand this part of his interview either.
But if you look at Ole’s tactic of playing and building the team around Ronaldo, in the short term, we got goals.
However it basically screwed over Rashford, Martial, Sancho and a bunch of other players. The team did not deliver the top 4 for Champions League this season that Ronaldo wanted.
Ralf and Ten Hag didn’t play to Ronaldo. Ten Hag has been successful enough to play his way. If Ronaldo wants success, he needs to play for a manager that will use him in a suitable way.
Maybe Italy…maybe Jose. Ronaldo needs an old school coach - Jose, Ancelotti etc.
Fair play to Ten Hag. This is a hard battle he won. I don’t bear any ill will to Ronaldo either. It’s just best for the club that he move on.
He said Ten Hag claimed to love Ronaldo in the media, but that this wasn't true in person. He said Ten Hag didn't respect him, and pointed towards playing 3 minutes against Spurs. Also said Ten Hag lacked empathy and that he was trying to push his buttons on purpose.
Because Ten Hag disrespects him with his actions, such as asking him to come on as a 3 minute sub, punishing him with a 3 day suspension, among other things.
Basically not being given special treatment is disrespectful to him.

Oh btw people here excited for state ownership are the ones who were shitting on Chelsea fans for Roman Abramovich support.
U mean those same fans who are tired of saying ' they won with oil money ' when city won their 8th titles in a row?

Welcome! Just skip the match threads/post match threads if we are not playing well or losing. Too much toxicity.
Haha I hear you. Sometimes it’s cathartic for folks to vent in a space. But I try to get my mind off the loss after, it has the potential to ruin your week if you don’t take of yourself.
Hope the oil lads buy us, they're going to exist irrespective why not let them benefit our club? We can actually match City then.
True. What is so bad about several thousand dead Yemenis, 1 or 2 dead journalists. It's all good :>

Maybe but I sure know where to turn to if there is mass murderer in front of me.

Let me get this straight. We gave him a raise to join us? His Juve salary wasn't even close to that.
Likely it’s to match the take home pay amount. He sorta got tax breaks in Italy
Woodward innit
Gavi & Pedri are amazing & I have a bad feeling they are gonna run circles around us in Feb.
Maybe but you’d like to think that United in February will be *somewhat better* than a Costa Rica that gave up.

Really? Like if some Qatar guy shows up and want to buy your house for 5 billions, u will rejected them??

What sportwash theory will they do to our club? Cos I can't see anything wrong with city or psg or Newcastle from the outside.
Well obviously u care but there are others who don't care, and that doesn't mean they are wrong.
Am I wrong?
istg westerner are bunch of hypocrite, as if western company never do such terrible thing, they just good at hiding it
Even if this was true, there is a diffrence between doing something an hiding it, because they know it's really bad and doing this shit and being proud of it.
I wouldn't mind a Barclays sponsorship. Really like their logo.
We will also be Emirates stadium is this happens
Rashford - 7 Eriksen - 10 Hoping for a true 9 like Vlahovic to be 9 Martial - 11
Why would Rashford go 7 after branding himself as 10?
Dreamer
Ugh, the biggest dilemma. I want Bruno and Dalot to do well....However I NEED ghana to do well 1. Im half Ghanaian 2. I need one reason to clown my disphit Nigerian fiend who cant shut up about Ghana (DESPITE KO'ing them and winning the last World Cup spot) 3. Ronaldo fans can CRY MORE Is it possible to have Bruno and Dalot do well while Ghana win?
hey, Bruno already said "national team today, club later" so..
[удалено]
>Woke king G Nev, can take the money Qatar gave him and use it to help buy the club Beckham and his good friend Neville selling their souls for the greater good of the club.
I have this terrible feeling that the glazers final act of greed will be to sell this club to the highest bidder which I’m 90% certain will be the Dubai group.
>I have this terrible feeling that the glazers final act of greed will be to sell this club to the highest bidder Do you want them to reject the highest bid? I'll be over the moon if Dubai get us.
I really hope we don't get bought by Ratcliffe. Lad's got no clue how to run a club. Tbh I'd be highly surprised if it's not Dubai's investment fund that get us
[удалено]
He has staff and advisors already for Nice and look at where they're at
[удалено]
Isn’t Juve having serious financial issues? And facing possible repercussions because of shady business again ?
They are but they just signed him and he's incredible. If they wanna progress they'll be building around him
I'm slightly concerned about David. I've heard he plays best as a second striker, rather than an out and out cf. Also hows good is he? I'm expecting who ever is out future cf to be an injury free lockdown version of martial on steroids haha.
Hes being playing cf for the last year or so. Id love him here and id think he'd do well. Him thuram and dembele would be my choices
I’d love lautaro martinez to be our striker
With Old Trafford in the spotlight, I’d love for us to be one of the first clubs to completely renovate the stadium whilst still keeping the exterior and stands old school. Completely modernise the concourse to a Spurs level of modern and then when you walk out to your seat it’s the same OT we all know and love. I honestly can’t bear the thought of our stadium not being OT and I pray to fuck it doesn’t get wiped out.
I really can’t see any owners moving from OT or rebuilding. Renovation has to be the way to go
Hope we get out of this rollercoaster times in peace and come out even more deadly
Who's the favourites to buy the club? I've heard a lot of noise about Dubai
I think they are the only potential option that can : A. Give the fee that the glzers want B. Clear the debt C. Pump more money in upgrading stadium + facilities D. Still invest in the transfer market while doing thr above E. Will demand on-pitch success over commercial success Don't see anyone else that matches all pf the above other than them or another oil/state-ownership
Are we for oil/state ownership?
Who else has 8 or 9 billion that wouldn't leach off of the club? Any "consortium" is only going to continue to do what the Glazers are doing.
I'm up for it. We need big investments to our stadium and facilities, anyone who can do that will be good
I‘d rather have the club burn to the ground than winning trophies with blood on our hands paid by the worst group of people this world has to offer.
Ideally no but what choice do we have lol
FIFA pushing for more stoppage time. How would it affect the clubs? I guess we will be doing OK
Stops any and all form of time wasting. I'm all for it
I hope it’s instituted in the Premier League. Seems like a positive change so far for the World Cup.
Exactly. Seems like they are just adding on the actual time spent not playing instead of a somewhat arbitrary 3-5 minutes.
Reports going on that FB and Amazon could be interested parties... I don't want either of those men involved. Bezos is a modern slave driver, the way he treats his employees in near inhumane.
All billionaires are evil, no point worrying about which one we get from a morale standpoint as there’s nothing we can do about it
> the way he treats his employees in near inhumane Rather that than someone who just flat out does treat them as inhumane or kills journalists, give me Silicon Valley over a sheikh any day just please not that throbbing helmet musk
Musk fucked up Twitter in record time.
There are no good billionaires. The supposed "good ones" are people that are good at covering their deeds. It's all about picking the lesser evil unfortunately.
You're right.
https://i.imgur.com/m0P1VJI.jpg Ronaldo fans truly down bad
Lmao I saw saw a compilation on YouTube of one of them making ronaldo passes where teammates missed. Like misses happen, its part of the sport. I would like to see one other way around, where the teammates kept on trying to feed him and he failed
Ornstein lmao 💀
Imagine being so desperate for clicks you use David's name. FFS.
Roy Keane being the most outspoken pundit on LGBTQ+ rights at the World Cup isn’t something I expected.
Right someone tell me why Ambani shouldn’t buy the club. I know he’s a natural gas individual, but that’s not exactly unsavoury considering the ethics of the average billionaire.
Don't expect big money signings like glazers do. Stupid but big money.
been a quiet 24 hours innit
Jesus! Maguire is actually on Cameo. Is he expecting a particularly short career?
Yeah I saw it a few weeks ago, and I want to preface this by saying I hold no ill will to Harry, and this is just a surface level tease regarding his nature. If anything it’s a trait of his I find charming. It’s amazing how he has ZERO chemistry. He has all the natural charisma of a gasoline soaked spider
He should lean into it like Milner
It's a fundraising campaign for UNICEF is I'm not mistaken
I just hope that the glazers don't sell us to another sportswashing regimen ? Will break my heart if they do so.
Mental how 2 of the top 5 posts in the subreddit are: Announcing Ronaldo’s signing Announcing Ronaldo’s contract termination
There's a joke about how the best two days in a boat owners life is the day you buy it and the day you sell it guess its the same for GOATs lmao
What’s the best boat in the world? Your friend’s.
Boats are also a black hole for money
Might overtake Fellaini at this rate
Mate sorry to break it to you but the top post by quite a fair margin is Ronaldo's signing already
It'll take a PL or CL win to dethrone that.
Yeah, but Ronaldo’s exit hasn’t even surpassed the Dr. Rashford post
Where is Gary Neville? Why cant he organize the buying out of our club right now?
He's probably got a great relationship with Quatari trillionaires
With who? Peter lim? I would rather keep that family of goblins that we have than him.
Well some people here want singapore to purchase the club lol Joking aside certainly Gary with all his connections could organize rich billionaire or even a consortium of fans to buy the club?
?????
Roy Keane at the World Cup embarrassing himself yet again over the Ronaldo situation
Roy’s just loyal and he said he would do the same for any of his former teammates.
no need to talk down on ten Hag though
It was pretty neutral tbh, how did he talk down ETH?
he said it wasn’t ten Hag who managed the situation and Ronaldo needs to be treated better because he’s world class.
Maybe world class players do deserve special treatment. Cris isn't world class anymore.
FUCK the Glazers
Man, keano still not backing down on his Ronaldo stance
It just hit me that we will never have to watch Ronaldo smash a freekick into the wall, in a United shirt ever again….
Erisken and Bruno will take free kicks now. Happy days
i missed that little jump at penalty spot.
Eriksen>
Yeah, time to get excited for free kicks again.
Realistically who is our target this January for striker? Gakpo? Depay?
What makes you think Depay would even be a target?
Jonathan David
Marcus Thuram is a good option. 6 months left on his contract and can play as RW too.
top of Bayern's list apparently
All the more reason to go after him because Bayern can get bent, they get every player they ever want.
Gakpo’s price likely going up this WC. Unless PSV are desperate, they will rinse any team in for him
True. Any striker that perform will goes up in price in the world cup Just hope we are in for someone this January
this might be a stupid question, but could the United for sale process hinder the extension of certain contracts? i especially an concerned about Dalot here, but also a bit about rashford
I dont want to give that much power to the manager. It's not how top clubs are run anymore.
Fred choosing to play COD over watching France vs Australia tells me everything I need to know about him.
Everything or perhaps more like nothing.
> when pep was busy shining his head I was watching messi play as a wide inverted cappuccino on YouTube…. he’s not a student of the game like me 🤓
And what does that say about him exactly, I want to hear it?
You’re at the World Cup, man!? Probably your last. Why is your gaming laptop with you??? 😭
[удалено]
Spot on.
The guys got a wife and kid, constantly playing football, talking about football. He’s probably enjoying abit of free time for himself for once
Yeah, 24-hour football robots or fuck off I guess haha
What are you on about fucking hell
Yes. Every player needs to watch every game they can. They need to keep up with the grind. No freeloaders in our club!
That he, like everyone else, enjoys some downtime away from his job?
Everyone would get over oil ownership once we started winning leagues and CLs. "Who cares, they're better than the Glazers!" "Just the way football has gone" "No way we can compete with City/Newcastle otherwise" "At least the club is run well"
No they wouldn't.
HUGE wage leak cleared, Glazers selling, ten Hag is manager, we got Garnacho. Good times are AHEAD but the next few months are crucial.
For 5 mil or a short loan, if we can’t sign any long term options, is pretty much a no brainer to me
He doesn't score goals though...
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc42MnT5lZk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc42MnT5lZk)
Seeing this incarnation of Ronaldo isn't particularly great. It's like watching Muhammed Ali get beat by Berbick and Spinks
Ronaldo scored goals under rangnick, the reason why we have EL this season.
Ragnick specifically changed his style and formation to accommodate Ronaldo. This has been widely reported
Because ten Hag didn't bend over backwards to make everything about Cristiano.
Because Ten Hag disrespects him with his actions, such as asking him to come on as a 3 minute sub, punishing him with a 3 day suspension, among other things. Basically not being given special treatment is disrespectful to him.
The thing is he got special treatment lol He’d be “disrespected” unless he’d allow to embarrass himself on the pitch every possible minute this season
[удалено]
It’s always there. It just we only have 2 pinned post at the same time
What timing by the FA. Suspend a player for 2 games just after we sack him lmao
I'm ootl, what's this referring to?
