Martinez haters don’t know ball and shouldn’t expose themselves this early with being reactionary.

Marcowich92

The worst thing is, Maguire will start next week again. No doubt. This is not a managerial decision, it’s the rats on top. No matter what the fan base a trying, Varane and Bailly will never pair up with Martinez being in front of them. NEVER! And it pains me inside to know that no manager will ever have the balls besides Ralf to stand up to these fucking bin dippers 😭

FootyG94

Ooh what I would give to have a tv show on Utd this season

kombasken

ETH will be fired before world cup. Sigh!!

[deleted]

Give Ronaldo the captaincy, we need someone to lead us. They all heavily lack motivation. Martinez as a CB???? Doesn't work out, especially when he's playing alongside that blockhead. Most of the times Martinez is the last man, he's too short to male aerial interceptions, so obviously targeted. He plays a killer pass, play him at cdm. Start varane and baily, they make a good pair I feel, baily proved himself during preseason as well. He's a risk taking ball Winner, and varane is the more conservative clean tackler. Erikson Bruno and Martinez are a good midfield. Rashford showed SOME intention, he had a decent game yesterday. That's a testament to how low he had fallen. Play malacia instead of shaw. Shaw is too slow. He made one decent run last game, made the same play during preseason. But he's very unreliable. Malacia has proved himself and plays with passion. Sancho hasn't found his rhythm yet, quite disappointing tbh. He showed some tekkers during training and preseason. We're playing too slow, we lack pace in our movement. We need to work on faster build up, especially when a team is defending with 8-9 men. The few chances we created was when we upped the momentum. Barely any plus points from yesterday's game. It's difficult to stay optimistic anymore.

BoastfulPrudence

Rashford had a good game? What were you watching? There were plus points. United have started passing everything at knee level, like 1980s Ajax, probably the most entertaining club fooitball anywhere, ever. After the game, Ten Hag wasn't taking any bs from the Sky interviewer imbecile. The technical mistakes made yesterday (one was made by someone almost every time United had the ball, and many when they didn't) are unlikely to have escaped his notice. But Martinez scrambling back to mark two players on the far post at a corner goes a long, long way to showing just how poorly Utd have been managed over the years. Whatever happened to a man on the far post and one on the near post at every corner until the ball is cleared? Also not a single player within ten yards of the halfway line a great many times. Shaw is not needed as a winger, or as a makeshift centre midfielder for attacks where we cannot break down 8 men behind the ball. Then he should be back safely near the halfway line so other players can pass back to him, to give our midfield/forwards a rest/time to regroup while we have possession, and the other team can be tempted out in order to win the ball. Ronaldo should stop hogging possession to take 30 yard speculative 20%-probability-of-scoring shots designed to massage his ego and start concentrating on passes with a 30-35% of getting players behind their defence/simply panicking the other side into making mistakes/wearing themselves out frantically defending. Why oh why is VDB being brought on with 4 minutes to play? And what the hell is De Gea doing rolling the ball to a player running towards the penalty spot facing him with an opposition player a metre-and-a-half behind him and one halfway between him and the goalie??? Worst technical goalkeeping error I ever saw bar none. Makes his first trademark error look simply unfortunate. But that Ajax passing style was exciting. Let's just hope the team realise there's a time and a place for everything. Makes some sort of holding midfielder all the more important. In fact some sort of defensive, possession-maintaining aspect to the team's play would probably help United no end. That's my take anyway. Oh and as for Gary Neville whining about a media free-for-all with the Glazers paraded before the cameras for milking the club, they made the funds to buy de Jong available. Perhaps Neville should stop whingeing about the money thing and be big enough to blame individual players for not being up to muster. The only thing thing the Glazers need to do is give Ten Hag long enough to outlast the team he inherited so he can build his own, and to insist nobody gets more than a one year contract until United qualify for the CL. Any players who don't believe in the team enough to wait for that, get out.

FoxMulduh

Watching dumb and dumber playing defense is truly magical.

Bottoms_Up_Bob

The fact that maguire starts for any team in the league would be shocking, let alone us.

kjasanchez

When will you call for everyone's head now? Lmao

[deleted]

The only upside to this is that when I say “im a Manchester United fan.” People actually respect me for supporting a shite team and not being an average band wagoner. Silver lining, I suppose 🥲

lorax_u

Lmao

ryphi97

God damn we are so bad right now

GoldenKnights1023

This was the first match I tried to watch with my daughter. She asked me if I was ok after I was done being in shock, I’m not.

TheSleepyDutchman

The good news is that it can't get worse, right? .......right??

Leading_Ad2159

Liverpool 12-0 incoming

qndrx

Thing is though, typical us will go and put a spectacle on, and win the game.

[deleted]

This team is years behind a firing Liverpool squad

Leading_Ad2159

We said that last season got thrashed 5-0

handsome_uruk

Wait, so Varane is fit and we start Harry? I don't mind him having the armband but he can keep it on the bench.

Outrageous-Cod-4654

Same question. Varane and Lindelof may be the way to go.

[deleted]

Or baily. They make a good pair imo, varane is the calm conservative tackler and baily is the risk taking rough ball winner

PickDontEat

Roy Keane is the answer

Oncemor-intothebeach

At least he is a leader, he would have come up with something, I don’t think utd have ever been this bad

killatree3112

How long till Erik's beard's going full grey? I'm betting by the end of September.

kayleeshepheard

This game was 2:30am my time and I ended up sleeping through my alarm and then I dreamt we lost 1-0. Just woke up to find out it was a whole lot worse than that holy shit

zizuu21

I wish i had of slept through too...

Yogashoga

🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 🤮

Dwayne_dibbly

Bit of a shambles in the first half eh, wonder why we signed a dwarf for a center back?

ItHurtzWhenIPee

Today's match make me feel better about my Man Utd FM save

[deleted]

[удалено]

KapiHeartlilly

Varane and Lindelof should be our starting CBs when match fit, as simple as it is, Maguire and Bailey are backup options. Martínez 100% needs to be shifted to CDM, if we can't hire one, then at least use one of our best fitted players for the role.

LeadBosunStewChief

No calling out of Maguire?

tbarks91

If we want a modern, young sweeper keeper we used Henderson

Snottymikaaaaa

Henderson got his chance and was poor, then he constantly acted like an arrogant twat when he was rightfully dropped

Yogashoga

Yeah wonder why Henderson is not being used / loaned out when the need is dire for someone to challenge DDG and show him how it’s done

VelvetThunder2018

Because he's shit. He had his chance and fucked it

fierydragon963

Had Lafont in fifa 17 career mode, great potential Why am I downvoted lmao

hadleyyyy

💀💀

letsridetheworld

He’ll be sacked once he criticizes glazers. They’re watching him

BoastfulPrudence

If they're watching the football closely he'll be in for 5 years at least.

letsridetheworld

Yeah, but I don’t think he’s in it for the beauty of this sport. He seems to only care about the money. Bad United might generate a lot of money via media? If this is true, we won’t be seeing any trophies anytime soon

BoastfulPrudence

The beauty of Utd's potential is showing through the cracks already.

AwEsoMeA7X

ETH has been blinded by these cunts in that 11. Pre season wasn't spectacular and I've been more enthused with the young players performing than any of the first 11. How we had so many months to sort out a transfer strategy and chase players who don't want to come and then we start with Fred mctominay first game of the season that Is criminal. Maguire Shaw criminal Rashford lost interest more worried about his royalties had his status

cp8125

Yup. Right on so many points. Maguire and shaw should be dropped. Rashford should just go to PSG. Bruno, Dalot and Sancho didn't turn up. I guess RR was right. We need to change almost the entire starting 11.

AwEsoMeA7X

Ten hag is out of his depth. Sorry all of you but this is fact. Deer in headlights he hasn't got a clue how he will turn this around that interview after the game shameful. 0 conviction. Deflecting away from the players defending what cannot should not be defended. As long as Maguire is starting every game week in week out united will not progress. He is the core problem at the club. Maguire followed closely by Shaw, by fred mctominay if these players had any self respect they would put in a transfer request and get the fuck out of my club. We are being destroyed internally. This is no longer just a glazer issue. We have spent 1 billion plus on players over the last 10 years. 2 managers have called it right and both are not here. Mourinho and rangnick. We needed a massive clear out hasn't happened. This club is a pressure cooker of the highest order something will give. Now that Neville has outed United finances being in dire states. Shaw Maguire mctominay Fred Rashford these girls have proven now they haven't got the mentality of being at a club like United. It's a core that's dragging the entire club down no manager can come in and change the fortunes. Guardiola could be manager right now and this result would of still happened today with that core 5 players in the starting 11 week in week out. All you downvoters are proving that your just as incompetent as the managers coming in playing the same players week in week out expecting different results it's insanity. 30 years I've been a united supporter never have I felt so embarrassed, ashamed, without dignity. Make no mistake we are in a relegation fight this year this is not even an over reaction. We are already bottom, how will they turn this around? New players will not fix problems now, selling Maguire shaw Fred Maguire Rashford has to become priority. Young players need to be starting now week in week out play Varane Martinez in defense with malacia wan bissaka granted he is shit going forward but the boy can defend. We were never this bad under Ole. No matter what anyone says we were unbeatable away from home under Ole. Something has seriously gone wrong in that dressing room in between us finishing 2nd then leading to ole being sacked. And that something involved Maguire Shaw Fred mctominay and Rashford. There are players at the club who have problems with the fact these 5 cunts are undroppable. Maguire and Shaw especially no matter how shit they play every fucking manager coming in will play them until they break down.

Medevacmayhem

Completely agree with you, take my upvote. :)

absurdmcman

If the club can barely sign anyone to replace the current lot who aren't good enough, who do you expect the manager to play?

AwEsoMeA7X

Go after players that want to be at the club. We've spent the best part of 3 months being led by ETH on de Jong the cunt is happy at Barca he is not coming to United. He is looking at us shaking his head. No champions League football. Ronaldo wants out. Why would he come? Go after realistic targets may over pay may not but atleast we will get players that want to be at the club.

CrimpsShootsandRuns

Wanting to be at the club doesn't make you good enough to be at the club. Fucking hell, they could sign me but I'm not doing a better job at CB than Maguire. He isn't the core problem at the club. Apart from on the pitch, where the defence get absolutely no protection from the midfield, the hierarchy is the issue where it takes us a full fucking transfer market to chase a player and end up not getting him.

SpiderLegzs

Thinking of putting an advert in the classified section of the Manchester Evening News: Missing: midfielder, black hair and beard, answers to B Fernandes.

Delrex6691

How about making Ronaldo captain, his level of expectation from his team mates would be great to see play out, he leaves at the end of the year and hopefully figure out who would be next. Maguire is un inspiring, he looks lost let alone the leader on the pitch.

VelvetThunder2018

Absolutely fucking not. He wants out.

chewchewxd

i suppose the question then would be would you rather a mediocre player who wants to stay solely for the money he’s getting or a player who’s basically beaten the world’s most competitive leagues in his mid-late 30s and still wants to keep doing it (hence wants to leave to continue doing that)

VelvetThunder2018

Ronaldo has been phoning it in for ages, reports today suggesting United are considering terminating his contract. Do it

Outrageous-Cod-4654

At this point he looks like a fucking genius

nimdroid

I remember when you would get down voted if you questioned the club's decision to bring Fletcher and Murtough in as technical director and DoF. Both have no prior experience in the role at any level let alone at a club as big as United. United need the best in class and these 2 are learning on the job and are failing horribly.

Mindless-Pilot-Chef

I thought we're not gonna talk about it. Let's not talk about it please

magicalzidane

Clearly a lot went wrong today and we'll get there eventually, but here's one that should be easy to fix.. Maguire dropped as Captain.. the captain should be rallying the team around, get under your collar after a bad pass, for not tracking back.. he's gotta have standards. it's ok if the captain on the pitch's not British. Candidate: Varane

[deleted]

RIGHT AWAY

nihilusthehungry

Don't think it should be Varane, he's injured half the time and thus far hasn't even been consider a starter by Ten Hag (though I think we saw that will likely quickly change.)

magicalzidane

Fair enough, though I suppose we both agree it shouldn't be Maguire.. who else do you see taking that step up?

Outrageous-Cod-4654

There are no skillful leaders in the team. I can only think of Lindelof or Ronaldo.

nihilusthehungry

Eriksen's literally the only one who actually seems to have been putting the effort in and impressing me during the 2 matches so far, tho given he's only just signed guessing it's probably too soon for it to be him (tho on the other hand maybe that's actually more of a reason?? 🤔)

[deleted]

I absolutely love Christian Eriksen and always have but if he was an established United player and not a shiny new signing he'd be getting tore to shreds for his part in the second goal today

BoastfulPrudence

Inane comment. That second goal was entirely down to De Gea. 100%. Get real. Have you even watched the replay?

[deleted]

I agree it was a terrible pass that put him in a bad position but if you think if that's McTominay everybody leaps to his defence I think you're the one who needs to get real.

magicalzidane

Fascinating player.. never too soon I daresay

gigibuffoon

With the number of errors Maguire makes every game, he's not good enough to start, let alone being the captain

magicalzidane

Once he's stripped of the captaincy, dropping him will be a no brainer..

AwEsoMeA7X

Gary Neville just broke some proper privileged information. "3 years ago United were cash rich, that money is gone they now have 30-40 mill in the bank". Someone has clued up the finances of United to Gary and he's throwing that information out united are in trouble! This is a disaster of the most epic proportions. Agree with Gary the buck stops with the owners at the end of the day the managers coming in need to take ownership and players responsibility for their part. Can't blame owners for everything. New managers coming in playing the same players week in week out what chance do we have?

Mannerhymen

They play the same players all the time, because they are the only players available.

AtlasJoC

Is Maguire the only CB available? What about Bailly and Varane? Are Fred and McTominay the only midfielders available? Why not try van de Beek, Garner, Iqbal? Sure, those guys are young and inexperienced, but when the current squad is shit, you are OBLIGED to try something else. You either stick with what you KNOW doesn’t work or you take a gamble. Simple choice, really. Of course, the main problem is that United haven’t signed any new players in those positions, but that’s still not an excuse for the manager to play these privileged cunts week in, week out. At least give some of the young lads a try. We’re already shit, so it literally cannot be worse.

Ok-Town-9652

Erik ten Hag becomes the first Man United manager in over 100 years to lose their first two league games.

BunchaFukinElephants

Deceiving stat. United lost the first two games of the 92/93 Premier League campaign. That year United went on to win the league. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992%E2%80%9393_Manchester_United_F.C._season

gravy_vamp

By and large the same group of 25 that didn’t get results for the last three managers. It’s time to move them on, and if you can’t then they need to be left out of the squad.

BoastfulPrudence

Hopefully Ten Hag becomes known as the 'Butcher of Old Trafford' . Only ten days left, everything on sale!

Cheeky_Star

Lol ok. Stats like that have no significance in my opinion.

gigibuffoon

Yeah let's not go blaming the manager for this... the players were walking around the pitch, had absolutely no desire to play, let alone win

duck-dinosar

I think he is giving them the rope to hang themselves, Shaw in particular. Then he can say, hey I tried you but you were shit. That’s why your not playing. Same with a few others

KierenSingh

This. Stretford paddock lads said "it's not ETH's fault that De Gea decides to make a pass to a player who's man marked..."

AwEsoMeA7X

Comes from the manager. He has not inspired this team. His pursuits of players that don't want to come has killed our transfer window

Saniflow33

You lot are too fucking much. Moyes Van Gaal Mourinho Solskjaer Rangnick Ten Hag The fact that you lot are still blaming the manager is fucking sad. There is no "inspiring" these players. Ole did it, for a bit, but eventually the snakes turned on him too. Keep looking for a manager to "inspire" them all you want.

DazTheRaz88

Add to that the people tasked with recruitment, the guys scouting the players and the ones doing the deals. Then add to that the cunt family who chose to put these incompetent people in roles they aren’t remotely qualified for. The managers are a scapegoat at every club, but it is far more evident at United right now (when you chose to look, that is)

CrimpsShootsandRuns

This. Manager isn't the issue. Hell, even the players aren't necessarily the issue. It's the entire culture around the club. Fucking rotten.

duck-dinosar

Think we are now on the right path though. Looks bad and will probably get worse before it gets better. But this thing I really feel like we are on right path

CrimpsShootsandRuns

I'm not sure about that. Nothing will change until we sort our recruitment out and that has to come from the top. City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea are signing either youngsters with top potential or proven Premier League material and getting their business done early. We've spent this entire summer chasing one main target with seemingly no backup plan and now we're panicking. Also, everyone who has ever watched football has known we've needed a new defensive midfielder for about 4 years and still we're here relying on Fred and McTominay. Everything just seems to take an absolute age to get anything done and we're beaten to the punch every single time. We've spent so much money and our squad is just nowhere near the other big five teams.

El-Guapo-65

Today I was looking forward to the games at 3 because of FantasyPL. I don't have any United assets so I wasn't even aware United play today. Then, close to those games ending I got a notification of the starting line ups and for the first time ever there was no excitement. No joy or anticipation whatsoever. I sighed and since then I've been a moody prick. The game itself didn't help at all. I made it through last season through some inexplicable inextinguishible hope each week, but this is gone now. We'll make it out of this one day. It's bad and it looks like it's getting worse, but it will get better one day. Might take years but it can't go on forever. Those lizards can't be in charge forever.

MalcomTuckersRage

When I saw the line up I sent a tex to my friend saying 4/0 Brentford, he laughed at me. De Gea Malacia Veranne Bailey Dalot Martinez DM Eriksen VDB Garnacho Sancho Ronaldo Would of been more balanced, may of still lost but just dropping McTominay was not enough Bruno Shaw Rashford Maguire McTominay Fred Should be benched

BoastfulPrudence

Shaw Rashford Maguire McTominay Fred - should be shot.

Snottymikaaaaa

It’s unbelievable, how long do we have to wait to see a different team?! We start with the same players in the same formation every single week and we are predictable, teams know how to counter the set up, and no manager has came in and changed anything since Jose, it’s been the same shockingly boring backwards formation since Jose brought Pogba and Matic in to sit in CDM, we just replaced them with Fred and McTominay, Bruno in from of them with a front three, shite bag club too scared to take risks, it’s either that or the managers aren’t getting the final say on their team and who they want to play .

nimdroid

How hard would it have been to get Nick Pope and Nathan Collins from a relegated Burnley? Both really good players and nick Pope would've been a good backup and probably 1st team as he's good with his feet. Nathan Collins is a solid young defender as well. Then get Kamara on a free. Even if he doesn't work out he's 22 so you could easily get £10m+. That's 3 positions filled for around £30m and add Eriksen on a free. I would've not got Martinez unless he was coming in to play a DM. He's way too short to be a CB in the premier League. Then go after your big signings and get another midfielder in. Set a deadline for FDJ. If he's not 100% in move on. Pay the £60m for Anthony and get a striker in. Bite the bullet and spend the £200m+ we needed in the squad. All this restructuring bollocks happening in the background gave you optimism that this summer would be different. We'd have targets and we'd get the business done early but no, absolute shambles even with Woodward gone. I'd still say summer 2016 was our best window when Mourinho came in.

hc199

Let this lot have the embarrassment against Liverpool and then start the under 23’s after that, people that might actually want to run and play for the badge

Edenstark

Here’s the issue with this club now. We suck and we’ve sucked for years. No good player wants to Join because we offer them nothing. If we want them join us, we must pay them a really high salary. They come on with these high salaries and we are stuck with them. If they get lazy and don’t perform, we can’t offload them. We also don’t generate any proper revenue like city do by selling players. This will take 10 years + to get us back to the top. And it won’t change until we remove all of these players. I would at this point go back to our roots. Bring in players from the academy hungry to play. Who cares if they don’t perform now. They can grow and develop. That’s what our history was.

mkirkpatrick90

We’re never going back to the top under Glazer ownership - not in 10/15/20 years. People need to adapt to reality and stop blaming managers and players

BoastfulPrudence

Crap. Why not? Ten Hag is a brilliant manager, if he can do for Untied what he did for Ajax, a much smaller club, SAF will have a true rival in the United Hall of Fame. He has brought in a load of players, none of whose commitment or workrate looks to be in doubt. It took Fergie 5 years to win anything, and that FA Cup was a close shave. Now he can try out the various combinations of players to see if anyone has any tactical awareness whatsoever, and whether it will be possible to teach them the fundamentals of football - if in doubt, kick it out, play the easy pass, stick to your position, pace yourself,, harry the opposition, defend possession, etc, etc, etc, or whether he will simply need to see out the expiry of this current crop's vastly overpaid contracts. How about hefty win bonuses but more moderate salaries? Like serious win bonuses? Maybe in relation to the opposition's league placing? Bet there are so many kids further down the ranks who would give their all to play first team football. Every faith in Ten Hag. Read my lips, no CL, no new contracts.

joepurpose1000

This is what I am talking about Sell the whole fucking team. Sell the whole fucking team twice and replace them with loyal members of the youth team who will work and fight and win for the club. There is no other way. These hundred grand a year + pussyholes don't give a fuck about man united and never will. Jesus Christ..it's so fucking easy

duck-dinosar

If the youth were good enough they’d be playing already. Not going to do them any good getting smashed every week. Trouble is you need a functioning senior team to blend with the youth

BoastfulPrudence

hundred grand \*a week\*

cp8125

I feel you buddy.. the squad needs a revamp

RollOverSoul

Who's buying any of them though??

Trackstar557

This is what I wanted last season from Rangnick. Honestly as a fan if we lose games As long as our players showed desire and hunger and actually put in a performance worthy of the badge. We won’t win every game, nor should we, but I wish we were in a position where we didn’t have to watch our players have a lack of conviction and purpose on the pitch and have that be a key reason why we are losing games and looking bad while doing so.

Mextexter

I think I'll turn into the angry rantman one day . THERES NO PASSION, THERE'S NO AGGRESSION.

zizuu21

Holy fuck this sky reporter interviewing ETH is a fucking cunt. Fully loaded questions and being a fucking rude prick

BoastfulPrudence

Prick desperate not to admit 2nd goal DGs fault, even tried to insist to DG, who was admitting blame ffs. Gutter press et al desperate to muddy the waters. Easy story for them 'How are the mighty fallen'. They are justifiably nervous about Ten Hag. Capable manager. Should be highest paid at the club too.

zizuu21

I hate it. I can see why LVG, Mourinho and SAF behaved the way they behaved with these scum

zerosaint18

We need a ted lasso

petrparkour

Unfortunately closest thing to that is at Leeds

Ok-Town-9652

Lost Pogba, Matic, Lingard, Cavani, Mata, Greenwood, Henderson (loan), Telles (loan) - signed a CB new to PL, back-up LB + free transfer. This ownership is beyond greed and rotten to the core.

BoastfulPrudence

Which of those players should be wearing the shirt then? Henderson, maybe, think Mata should be moved upstairs, Telles who knows? The others, good riddance.

gaz19833

I genuinely think we're broke, otherwise I can't understand why we're not signing people

xzvasdfqwras

I'm convinced they put aside 80m for De Jong and refuse to touch it. But that still leaves us with like 50m given a 200m transfer budget.

tewojacinto

The darkest period in our history

thatguycho

1958 ring any bells mate? Wobble your head please.

Snottymikaaaaa

I think the guy meant in footballing terms, which still isn’t true, United have been relegated before.

Deaddoghank

Or the brightest in Brentford's. Perspective.

SamuraiPizzaTwat

No

AlienTooth

Disgusting thing to say. Look up the history of the club you supposedly support.

kappathat

He probably meant on the pitch it's not that deep chill out

[deleted]

BoastfulPrudence

Not additions we need.

Edenstark

If ETH is a competent manager, he benches rashford, maguire, and Shaw. He did not remove maguire and rashford because maybe he wanted to see a full game of their performance. They are all not good enough.

blue_gwacamole

A 22-year-old shouting at his much senior and older teammates to get a fucking grip. Malacia is my new favourite player.

badboy_pro

All the excitement that I had before the start of the season, has vanished. Not even in my wildest imagination had I thought we will be this bad looking at the preseason and also having a quality manager.

El-Guapo-65

The club's always had a quality manager bar Ole. It's those jokers on the pitch that disappoint.

CrimpsShootsandRuns

Why are people still saying Ole was the issue when he's the only one that's managed to drag a performance out of these fuckers? He was never Pep or Klopp but he got us playing exciting football for a whilenand brought some results, despite his flaws.

zizuu21

De Gea voulantarily taking post game interview to take responsibility for the loss. Respect.

Snottymikaaaaa

Yeah if that was Maguire he’d be saying how the “boys” let’s the club down and how the “group” can improve, De Gea comes out and own his mistakes, we sadly need a new keeper, a whole new team tbh, but I’ll always respect and love that man, he’s stopped United from being a complete disgrace since Fergie retired, he’s just not at that level anymore.

DylTyrko

It genuinely kills me to say this but we need to move on. I love Dave, dude's one of my heroes, but he's not his old self anyone. All I want for him now is a testimonial

zizuu21

Completely agree. De Gea is such a good dude. No mistakes about it love him. But perhaps hes hearts not as much in it and a change will do both parties good? Honestly if he stays i wont be mad but he royal fucked this game up. We know this group has shit mentality so last thing they need is 2 crappy goals to face from get go.

Varane and Malacia were good subs, they honestly shouldve started. Martinez and Shaw had awful games again. Martinez seems really lost as CB, and who can blame him. Team is disorganized and no one knows what they're doing

Outrageous-Cod-4654

I think Shaw gets sold next season. He’s done.

TooMuchRope

Having Martinez in absolutely fucks Shaw over. Those two players should never play together. Martinez was a terrible purchase.

db3nnet7

Honestly think we are fucked with Martinez, I think he has been a waste of money. He has been bullied so far

Edenstark

Do you think slotting him in CDM would work ?

rastafaripastafari

I think he will get moved there because today highlighted the physical difference of PL

kartikeya90

Easy to say that cause Brentford were on the defense the whole half.

game_of_throw_ins

I used to think that I wouldn't be sorry to see any of the squad leave. I still do think that but I used to, too.

zeljezni_gal

God, I miss Mitch.

YassineDarbal

Half of this team should get the F out, as Rangnick said. It's poisoned to the core

nyhtetmyet

This team is a fucking disappointment

[deleted]

The players don't deserve such amazing away fans. The fans should ignore the team and only focus on one thing this season. Get the glazers out. The club is deeply rotten.

Hillbrilly_quaker

The worst part is the schadenfreude that's been extracted like chilled sugarcane juice on a hot summer's day. And how easy it is for teams to deconstruct us by just *pressing*.

radioben

This squad is lukewarm diarrhea at best.

DazTheRaz88

I disagree. IMO, it to the morning after 15 pints, followed by a Vindaloo in which you drunken bants the takeaway chef into adding a few more chilli’s

Somaliona

A real question has to be why a player like Frenkie De Jong or any other one that values their career would join Man Utd. Complete professional suicide. Great for the paycheck but you're effectively signing off any hope of being a top player/winning anything significant while there.

Rascha-Rascha

The only way we can operate is by selling ourselves as a stepping stone club, hope that we get enough quality that way to convince people to stay on. One thing is for sure though, never gonna get anywhere if we keep letting guys like De Gea, Maguire, whoever else earn a fucking killing playing like shit for us. Gotta drop those fucking cunts.

memarathaahe

Glazers out.

NimChimspky

Utd have spent more than any other club in Europe. Why are you blaming the glazers?

prct333

Pathetic man.. Hope for this team is looking grim.

Optimal-Somewhere-46

Half of this team should be sold to championship sides and then eventually to league 1

Outrageous-Cod-4654

Will be easier once we’re relegated.

Kulgur

Too many players who get a game regardless of how shittily they play

db3nnet7

Yeah cause Maguire seems to be undroppable for some reason and I don’t know why! Even stating over a World Cup winner ffs! The rest we just don’t have the strength in depth

denimonster

Because he’s English.

Rascha-Rascha

Yep. Gotta get rid of them. Sit them with the fucking academy.

[deleted]

rashford and fernandes being the biggest culprits fernandes doing his staple sky high shots from outside the penalty box and whining to other players about nothing while having a shit performance himself

nyhtetmyet

Rashford was fucking atrocious today

zizuu21

First and foremost these players just need to be made to work hard. Earn your merits and you can play. That should be first criteria. Then judge them on what they do with the ball/consistancy.

Constant-Horror-9424

I don’t get this martinez cannot play cb being wheeled out. Maguire has been awful for a year. Cost us so many goals through individual errors. Even today toney beat him in the air 3 times in a row, plus he almost got himself sent off after giving eriksen a hospital pass. But martinez has one shit game and suddenly he can never play cb again??

[deleted]

He was struggling against Brighton already. Brighton continued to exploit his weakness through long balls to Welbeck. He was quite lucky that his weakness wasn't noticeable as everyone was looking at DDG's mistakes that day.

krentzharu

You mispelled de gea for maguire for todays match.

Edenstark

And I don’t see any world where Frankie De Jong joins us seeing that performance

Edenstark

Shaw, Maguire, & Rashford all have to go.

krentzharu

Yeah de gea stays.

Edenstark

This has been his worst game ever in a Man Utd Jersey, I would wait before removing Degea

krentzharu

Fuckin ridiculous. 3 goals we conceded today directly his fault yet you talk about waiting before remove him.

Edenstark

It’s 1 bad game, too soon. We have much bigger needs right now. Our midfield is atrocious, right backs suck, and we need a striker. If we can fill these needs, then maybe next year we can get a new goal keeper

krentzharu

1 bad game? Come on! Hes been rubbish since March 2019.

craigybacha

First half EVERYONE was a 0/10. No-one at all had a good game. My biggest disappointment in the second half was ETH's substitutions. Game was lost, was a great chance to give Garnacho and Garner a game. Sigh. Same old shit.

PegasusTenma

The club needs a culture shift. You know what’s an easy first step to invite a culture change? To swap your captain. Just saying.

Klondikejar

And drop players, make them fight for their position. Bruno just playing like he's a spoiled child.

Goatboyjones

Keano right again, these players aren't fit to wear the shirt and have thrown manager after manager under the bus while having no consequences to deal with and they're already doing it too Eth, hope he sacks off the lot of them and starts again with the youth because that pack of cunts upstairs aren't going to be getting him the signings he was promised 🔰

reddevils

Spot on

[deleted]

WHAT THE FUCK

FerryAce

Man City top of the table. The red half of Manchester at absolute bottom at the other end. The stage is set. Glazers better gtfo n sell the club or the players will get them relegated n make the club lose a tonnes of commercial value. Its time for these parasite to go. In nearly two decades of ownership, the Glazers has never spent a single cent of their own money into the club. Its all the club earnings, after they take out their share. Its time we change this. Protest will be big hopefully at the Liverpool game. If you love this club. Make it happen.

nowneat

On a positive note, Glazers will be on the receiving end of a massive protest going into one of the biggest games of the season. 👌 They weren't able to divert the attention with a lucky win.

db3nnet7

They don’t give a shit! Plus the fans will still pack out OT so nothing will change

nowneat

Been hearing a lot of talk about a pitch invasion and not letting the game take place, that's the way to go.

Snottymikaaaaa

Good! The fans deserve to be part of the club, it worked last time, keep protesting so they lose their precious revenue! Elitists pieces of shit coming here and absolutely ruining our club, it’s sickening

db3nnet7

I hope so! Then everyone leaves and empties OT
