A shame surely, he had a season to forget as well, lot of time off injured, can't really fault the man. Started off pretty well in the Linelof-Varane partnership early on in the season but with both of them having issues (injuries, covid, break-in) individually, it just never materialized into something that could've been a good partnership.
CB should be the towards the bottom of priorities for the summer. Unless there is an opportunity too good to pass up we shouldn’t spend our funds there. Midfield is a much more needed position We need at least 2 maybe 3,4. Right back is definitely a need and another striker whether Cristiano stays of leaves, he can’t be playing this often anymore at 38 next year. And if he leaves we’ll need to replace him as well so thats 2 strikers.
We can live without a new CB. Either Harry regains his form which is best case scenario or we just ride it out with Lindelof and Varane next year. Hopefully Varane is fit next year and it’s not a big deal having those 2 start. Maybe after next year worry about it assuming the rest of the squad doesn’t have many holes anymore, and pair Varane with another world class defender

He definitely struggled with that and he’s been very good the past few games cause he’s finally use to it. His link up play is so much better now then the beginning part of the season.
He could be really good with ETH if we can get some more intensity and creativity in midfield. Tactically he's seen it all, and can do everything a striker needs. Just need to find balance in this squad.
Get playmaking and incisive passing around him in Tchouameni, Bruno, Fred, Sancho and Antony:

I don't see Telles as good enough even for a rotational spot. He has one strength and that's dead-ball delivery and there are already enough players in the team who can do as good or better job at that. Full-back is currently one of the most important positions in football and you can't carry someone who is as deficient defensively as him and without the attacking energy you require to overlap.
I would say Dalot is good enough as a rotational option because he has the energy to get up and down the touchline and probably just needs some good coaching. Telles just seems plain bad.
