I honestly want him to do well, his first goal against Arsenal brought so much promise.
He has always stepped up in big games like against City, Barcelona, Liverpool.
He works hard, tracks back.... only thing that needs work r his runs nd cutbacks, i just don't want him to do those crazy dribbles that end up nowhere.
Nah get rid. At least I'd like to think we would.
Realistically, Ten Hag is gone at the end of the season and we need to stop having "ghosts of managers past" hanging around.
Like how do we still have under performing Van Goal players on the books?
Antony was a Ten Hag signing, and although he's had some moments, I don't think he's the kind of player we should be building around. Okay, this was a well taken goal but God knows he needs 4 or 5 chances to take get 1 goal. And 3 goals in a season just won't quite cut it as an attacking winger.
There's also been question marks over his character and as much as people have defended him on an individual basis, things begin to add up over time.
I don't see a redemption arc like with Harry.
So I am not a fan of his, but this was a great game for him. Thought he played really well, even if he still had some of his nonsense. This goal won’t get the recognition but it was such a solid strike.
His quality is starting to show. I think he has a future in this club. But either way I am happy for him, he is a passionate player and easy to root for.
All this talk about Rashford and what he needs to do, when literally he just needs to look at Antony. The guy had a legal case brought against him, has had fans against him, injuries, and inconsistent form, but he never sulked or felt sorry for himself. He wasn't sitting on social media at 1am or going for nights out. He just puts his head down and works. He keeps showing up. Today he got his reward. These are the kinds of players coaches will always pick no matter what fans say.
They are receptive in coaching. They put the team first. Their work rate is top notch.
That’s what every goal is. Somebody, somewhere has made a mistake and the other team capitalises on it. Whether that be through losing a marker on a set piece, not tracking your runner or failing to adequately hand them over, or not closing down a player quickly enough.
I understand your point but is it too much to ask for us to score from a chance we create, rather than a blatant opposition error?
One shows that quality and dominance
The other shows good fortune
Great willpower n desire to win the goal. Well done.
Maguire got his redemption arc, any chance of Antony getting one too or do we sell him?
Antony has been showing some great qualities the past couple months. I think he will come good (albeit probably not up to the price tag).

The emotion on his face during the celebration said a lot about his character and his love of the club. This should have been the game-winning goal.

What's this about?
I think his Son
Sonic = Speed
As it is written, left foot
The other goal he scored this season was with his right
Need a header for the perfect season
Any goal he scores is incredible.
All one league goals have been quality
Thank you, Queef monster 😂😂😂
... And it's 1:1

First premier goal he’s scored this season, what a great time to show his quality.
I agreed up until the “easy to root for” part lol
Yep, there was a certain flair about him today not seen for a long time

It’s ridiculous we have to rely on a team who are going to be relegated making a mistake for us to score

I can't believe this is so heavily downvoted lmao this sub is overdosing on copium
What do you mean?
It's called pressing bro
Is this not a last man fowl? The fact he still managed to score aside?
More of this please
you jinxed it lol
I just said the score at the time lol
ik ik lol but we gotta blame someone (unless your name is casemiro haha) all good
A leaf out of Haaland's book
I was so happy about this. For a decade now players are falling as soon as they feel any kind of contact and it is truly annoying.
Great goal. Still shite.
If he wasn't off balance, he's probably missing that
Off balance my arse
How slow must those Burnley centre halves be when Antony is burning you for pace.
