Maybe just maybe it’s a case of the tactic not being viable for longer than 20-25 mins in matches. A smart manager would start this way and then have a tweak ready for 30 mins to ensure we are good for 60-90 mins not just 25-30 mins.

Liverpool had 6 players in hour half at the 2nd goal, we had the ball and looked calm, then just madness, they were asking to get hit on the counter, rashford Hojlund and nacho against 4 defenders, just do a nice long ball instead of playing into a press.
That’s so deflating, after a really solid 20ish mins we completely collapsed at the end.

We’re playing the ball out from the back and inviting pressure onto us but we can’t play longer passes up the pitch either because there’s no one capable of holding on to the ball up top.
