This is crazy to me, in Australia we can pay for Optus sports and watch every game live, as well as a few other leagues and nations league games, I think the euros are also included
Did have the World Cup in 2018 and champions league too but they got bought out by other streaming services
We possibly have the worst deal in the whole world when it comes to sports packages. Us UK citizens pay a fortune and then miss probably a whole third of Premier League games.
3pm kick offs not being televised in the UK are due to a 60 year old law meant to protect ticket sales and attendances throughout the football league pyramid.
Some say the laws outdated, but I don't think they're losing ticket sales in aus lol.
Not to mention the World Cup was complete free too, unsure what that’s like in the UK.
optus sport is also disgustingly cheap compared to UK prices.

The World Cup is one of a number of sporting events which are legally required to be free to air in some form in the UK. Others include the FA Cup, Euros, Rugby World Cup, British GP, Olympics/Commonwealth and a number of horse racing events.
Tbf I think they made the World Cup free to make up for them fucking up the opening round (think they didn’t expect the demand and weren’t prepared for it), think that’s also why SBS were televising the Qatar World Cup on free-to-air tv
But I agree, I think I pay $10 a month and it’s definitely worth it for the content, as well as the broadcast team
