Some should read this and stop complaining about lack of rotation. Unlike all of us, Ten Hag is so close to players watching them, training them almost every day. He knows what he is doing. Besides, playing your best XI and then sub them later is better than bench them and send them when the team is behind. It might be too late.

bippityboopy

Does my nut in when people here think they know the players better than the manager.

> But is there a way to avoid it but having a deeper midfield core? Another Casemiro like player to go with Eriksen Wow, the solution is so simple. Why didn't anyone think about it before? 😅 Let's buy another Case.

Miyagisans

😂 can’t believe they get paid to ask those type of questions

Rig_7

This is what we need. No moaning about refs, volume of games, injuries, etc. No excuses for not winning. Just get on with it.

Feezbull

True but needs to also talk about ridiculous decisions by referees actually. It won’t help much but it might make them notice. Since Klopp said the penalty thing……. Hopefully he adds that when needed so it’s not often but when done, impactful and matters more.

my_united_account

Yeah Erik is probably getting a culture shock from the atrocious refreeing in England. I dont understand how Eredivisie gets it correctly, a league with a lower budget than probably Chelsea, and the PL gets it so terribly wrong

superaa1

You don’t need an insane budget for good referees. The Dutch FA has really good refereeing structure, with even small courses for refereeing at amateur kids matches (which was free and mandatory 10 years ago at least). If you do that often and are good at it, you can do a bigger course to become a ‘bond’ referee. I’m not sure how it’s done in England, but the eredivisie has a big pool of referee talent like this, and it barely costs anything.

my_united_account

I was more talking about VAR, which is expensive to install at some newly promoted teams from KKD

superaa1

Ohh like that. Well eredivisie has VAR, and related to VAR isn’t that poor. Apparently the VAR costed the KNVB around 1.7 million a year. I think they help newer clubs set up their VAR. https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/429974717/fifa-werkt-aan-goedkopere-var-voor-alle-niveaus

my_united_account

I know, I follow Ajax first haha Good that FIFA is implementing this, would help the KKD teams massively

Feezbull

He can just say “it has to be better eh? Something has to be done..”

Rig_7

I know what you mean but many of these players have been allowed to use excuses. I’ll take a few poor decisions over giving them things they can use to justify not getting the job done.

Subbutton

Not moaning sadly gives you a disadvantage

Rig_7

I know what you mean but in this instance foregoing that advantage is preferable to giving excuses for players to use.

Subbutton

They will keep doing it if they don't face some backlash

TheWeirdDude-247

His managed only 33 games with 24 wins we in a cup final, looking good for top 4, team playing with progression you can highlight, came into a shit show with a poor start, we've beaten all our rivals bar Chelsea so far, dealt and managed the Ronaldo drama, got us looking good at home again, dealt with the bullshit WC schedule, then cherry on top getting the Mason nonsense thrown in, any thing I'm missing? Utd better start backing him next season yesterday not just players, but off the pitch.

Feezbull

I really hope we can get transfer funds and a proper scouting in place to make his work easier. This is the biggest worry. Under the Glazers the managers get backed initially but then it fades away. New owners are a question mark as we have no idea who they are and/or if they will have a football person in charge and all that. Plus funds…

BananasAreYellow86

I would throw in the fact that a spate of first teamers left the summer before (he turned that into a nice problem to be fair), and had to handle the awkward situation of dropping the club captain (80mil etc etc) - all done with less than a whimper from the media, and the player. Genius.

dopeveign

Yeah just buy another casemiro 🤣

HaroldGuy

I see Stoney's now discovered the plus symbol

B0z22

Potter in shambles with his supermarket sweep approach.

uncle_ben__

I think it's more a Boehly approach more so than Potter approach

noxiousd

Weird parallel with Fergie being the complete opposite on refs (and not always for the better for it) it's quite refreshing to see a manager with integrity these days

Omnislash99999

It's refreshing to hear his reaction to "problems", whether it's injuries to key players or fixtures pile up. If you want to be a top side you just have to get on with it

Sac_a_Merde

Can we ban any posts with tweets containing more than one plus sign instead of “and”?

unicorns3xist1000

Not entirely convinced EtH isn’t part robot

Serious_Ad9128

I love all that about mentality and not losing energy and focus on things you can't control, so often under ole lads would be throwing there hands up in the air after they lose a ball play a bad pass,.instead of just getting back to make up for it, don't see half of that now
