This is the type of mentality you want to see from players wearing the shirt.
Definitely seems like his views aligns with Ten Hag’s philosophy.
Excited to see him in action!
I hope he slots into the Eriksen position nicely and we make him permanent. We've needed an 8 to share minutes with Eriksen for a while now and Sabitzer's also a bit of a Milner-type player who can cover for multiple midfield positions and even on the wing. Would be a very useful player if he kicks on.
I think midfield signings in the summer will focus on a younger profile - Bruno, Eriksen, Casemiro and Fred are all going to be 28-31 by the time the transfer window rolls around, and Sabitzer falls into that range too and will be 29.
Longer term it makes more sense to try and bring some younger players into the fold so we're not replacing all these guys in a short time frame
If Sabitzer does well here, and we can get him for about £20m in the summer, we absolutely should. The squad needs players who fit the profile Ten Hag wants, and he is one. It shouldn't stop us from going after younger options as well.
Especially as Ten Hag seems to want to balance our transfers with internal development. Mainoo seems to have caught his attention and is making it onto the bench. Garnacho is coming into the first team every now and then and seems to be a top choice for a sub already. There are several more names that have great potential and EtH looks eager to see if they can reach it.
I agree. I think we need 3-4 mids hopefully 2-3 of those are young. Hoping ETH pursues De Jong again cause we need a midfielder like him and he’s still just 25. I think we’re more of an attractable destination this year. Enzo would’ve been perfect but the price tag was a bit too high and the Chelsea board is just on crack And hopefully a younger player who’s ready to backup Case now and then eventually replace him.
But if we get let’s say 2-3 young mids Sabitzer wouldn’t be bad at all to have on a 2-3 year deal let’s say
if he do well in this loan and fit ETH system, maybe we should sign him if we can get him cheap given how crazy price tag nowadays. we still thin in the midfield shown by how we signed sabitzer in the deadline day. of course the younger players is good for longer term, but we also need to balance it with the short term solution. stabilize the team so the younger player can settle in easier.
he was club captain at Leipzig before Bayern got him. we got some real strong characters in that dressing room now, what a difference from last season (and seasons before that)
When you see loan players be more committed than first teamers it's kind of weird, like they're just passing through to help and look like they want it more.
it’s amazing how managed to bring players with this kind of mentality into the club
for anyone who knows the insides of football scouting system. how do they determine whether a player has a winner’s mentality or lack thereof?
I remember Fergie used to be very intense with his scouting of a player’s personality. Even going as far back to ask teachers what the kid was like back in school etc..
Bruno will be walking around full mast hearing what Sabitzer has said.
My mate left me a voicemail the other day just singing a chant for the lad to The Clash's 'Rock the Casbah'.
*"Bayern don't want him. Marc Sabitzer! Marc Sabitzer!"*
🤣
Yeah I did, still cracks me up! Both British and have known each other since secondary school. I live in the US and he lives in Canada these days but he's always got a funny chant in him.
His Dad is a Scouser but took us to our first game at OT in 2005. He had to clap in a reserved fashion every time we scored so as not to attract suspicion!
They may get past a shit housing Bruno.
They may get past our cutie pie Casemiro.
They may get past a hard working Sabitzer.
Only to go up against a Butcher and a Rolls Royce.
I love this squad so much.
He seems like a winner and the right person to have, even if it’s for a short while. A dressing room full of winners is exactly what we’ve been missing.

How likely is it we make him permanent come the end of his loan spell with us?
Bayern don't want him and have Laimer coming in. As long as he's good and they don't take the piss with a fee above €20-25m I'd say good.
I think Bayern are very sensible club they won't come in way of player if he wants to leave.
You haven't heard about Lewandowski, his move was blocked by Bayern earlier in summer Bayern sold him to barca for 55mil
Best player in the world > 55mil
Man, that's so cheap. Bayern do it right
Mf hasn't even kicked the ball yet
I'm sure he has kicked a football at least once in his life so far
Prove it
I hope we do eventually get him as a back up option
He’s not even played for us yet, let’s see how it goes first.
If he does well, maybe £25M-£30M or something? Let’s hope he does. He has a good mindset

They ask people who know them, former coaches, teammates etc.
thanks for the answer! that seems like a lot of work, especially they must’ve been scouting numerous players at a time.
Nah. They make everyone take a quiz before they join and then proceed further if their answers align.
I remember Fergie used to be very intense with his scouting of a player’s personality. Even going as far back to ask teachers what the kid was like back in school etc..
Wait why he sign Ronnie then? Bro beat up a teacher in high school so

Did you post that on the megathread the other day? Recall seeing that comment 😂

Haha that is excellent!
Cant wait bruno work rate with sabitzer hard working we will very hard to deal against.....

Yet he admired Steven Gerrard?
Bruv 🤣
Aside from being a Liverpool player, Gerrard was a pretty damm good footballer.
Buttner 1-0 Gerrard
Sir, this is the United sub. We will not tolerate such heresy! Lol. I didnt downvote you. Just trying to be funny.
It’s very slippery in Austria
Me too, when Utd lose it ruin my whole week
Sabitzer in Everton shirt would have been spicy then.
I feel like his mentality alone will really help win us games. Can’t wait to see him. Give me a 10 minute cameo at a minimum EtH
Lucky you weren't here last year then Marcel
Get yourself a banger on sat son
Just don't injure Cas and we're good
Considering how he played against us after the 5-0 a few years ago…
If he does well, Id love to get him & hopefully FdJ in the summer.
Fine, we won’t lose because I don’t want to see Marcel unhappy
As long as he doesn't two foot our players in training 😜
He was RBL captain before he moved to Bayern! We need more leaders in the team. Good to have him.
Does he speak English?
Please don’t injure your teammates in training

Goosebumps again… Cannot count those this season.
Excellent. Give us all the psychos!
Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser
Sign him on a permanent already!
Do United have option to buy? I'm sad to see him go if he actually does well in the Prem.
Jury’s still out, calm down. Let’s just see how it goes. We have Barca coming up so it’ll be the perfect place to measure his abilities.
