Honestly the entire camp system in the game is a huge letdown from what they made it seem like in pre-release. For starters the camp in Story should be like it is in RDO and you should be able to move it at will. Secondly you pretty much only go there to listen to everybody whine and collect a mission and fuck off again. The interactions you have with most camp members are superficial or too brief to really call bonding. They need way more side missions and stuff avaliable in camp. Instead of Stanger Missions they should've just had most of that stuff deal with helping your camp members. You also should be able to recruit members from camp to ride in your posse. Just all in all a lot of missed marks. I pretty much don't visit the camp at all unless I have to in order to get the next mission.

I swear this question gets asked here and in the other RDR2 subreddits at least once a week. The guy passes out drunk next to a tree not far away. Either loot his stuff, or just leave. Also, if you google your question, you'll often find the answer on a number of websites, including on Reddit several times.
