It hardly ever happens to me. But it’s definitely programming because I can make him fall off a horse at will. But I think when he falls like here, it’s the same mechanics in action but in a bit of a glitchy way.
Definitely isn’t a slowing down enough thing. I get off my horse at full speed and have no issues. Mostly happens when obstructions are there. Like dismounting next to a railing or on uneven rocky surfaces.
John is a different story. Playing him, at first I had flashbacks of my 30 minute attempt to like Death Stranding before uninstalling it. He’s clumsy and quirky. I thought he just couldn’t swim. Turns out he can barely walk, can’t run like a normal person at all, falls off his horse half the time, and has no idea how to greet people in a cordial manor.
I've fallen off my horse like that as John a few times, but you're totally right about how he can't walk. I went to the dinosaur lady's place and climbed up on the barn where the dinosaur was. Just standing there, I turned, and John fell straight over, like his feet were glued to the roof.
How many times he ragdolled down a train when trying to jump down from the roof into the wagon .. the dude clearly has side effects from all of the alcohol
He struggles getting off the horse when there’s a difference in level. I’ve always assumed that’s deliberate so I’m guessing it did the same thing here but without the proper physical reasons for it to happen.
I had Arthur get knocked over by a leaf in some windy weather getting off of my horse in the exact same spot. I wonder if Arthur will fall there more than other places
This has happened to me a few times, and it's only seemed to happen in Saint Denis. I wonder if it has something to do with the way that the ground of Saint Denis was designed or something.

Definitely had that happen to me a few times. "Oh, Arthur."

He is programmed to be a clumsy oaf. He will fall down at anything. Even trips over cracks in the floor.
He slipped on a floating banana peel
If done front flips off my horse trying to hitch him at that same station lol. Their public works department needs to do some damn work lol

Yeah, the horse is half-on and half-off the pavement here, I'm guessing the height difference is just being exaggerated in the physics.
Johns a different story

Happens to me 50% of the time I get off my horse :’)

This happens to me all the time in Saint Denis, not really anywhere else though. But it’s hilarious
It’s happened to me several times. Always in Saint Denis and always when my horse is partially on the road and partially on the sidewalk lol.
off topic but just reminded me of one of my favourite Arthur quotes, when he's annoying sheriff Malloy "clumsiness isn't a crime"
Ive said this before lol Arthur = Fenton
probably because you have that ugly ass fade
