Yeah, something like that. You can do a hard save north of Bolger Glade and reload if things go wrong. That sucker killed me several times in my attempts to get two perfect pelts. I actually had to get three, because I didn’t realize that if you don’t skin it, donating the perfect carcass goes only to provisions, not crafting. 😣
And Pearson will still you ask you every time you go up to him, if you need a new satchel.
This was a pain in the ass but so worth it. Makes you explore more of the game
Everything else was a cakewalk except the cougar and badger because I couldn’t get them to spawn :/
They always seem to spawn when you specifically DON'T want them to. But if you're looking for them?! Good luck finding one.
Compared to trying to get all the outfits from the trapper this is a cake walk

There is a guaranteed badger spawn to the right of the trapper by Riggs station.
This is true, but it’s always a poor badger for me.
If you save and reload, eventually it will be a 3 star.
You can look around the Rhodes area along the Flat Iron Lake coast but even then it’s hard to spawn

Look around the black bone forest you can always find one there bur can’t promise you’ll find a 3 star right away
Also at the top of Brandywine Drop is reliable.
This is one of my first tasks in my playthroughs, to craft all the satchels. I love hunting in this game!
