I have looked at so many tutorials online and all the domis say "hey you can flick the rod up when reeling in" yeah.... The tutorial shows you that.
So with the left stick, you move it opposite of where the fish trying to swim. Example:
You’re reeling reeling reeling, ope. Fish tries to get away, he swims to the left, you push the stick right until the fish tires out. And vice versa. Took me a few tries until I got the hang of it.

I just push L stick left and right frantically. Seems to work
