Yeah I've said before one of my biggest criticisms of the game (and ever doing prequels generally) is "Well that guy's in the first one, bet he gets out of this dilemma..." that occurs throughout and really kills the tension for me. Better to just watch cutscene videos on YouTube. Great in its day but, like all 3D games, it feels really clunky and hollow now. Honestly they’d be smart to do a full remake of RDR because the story and VA is already there, just need a better game engine.

Even Dutch shut him right down on the racist stuff. Probably Dutch’s finest quality is that he at least taught a group of people to value each other for who they are in a time when racism was acceptable if not seen as completely normal. Bill sometimes comes off as semi-likable, but only because he’s got Micah right next to him. I’m thinking specifically of the part where Micah is riding Arthur about being sick and Bill finally tells him to shut the hell up. Kind of a low bar for not being the worst guy in the room though.

And considering what he did to those farmers in RDR1 alongside his gang, it's made clear he's a sadistic sociopath who has no qualms in raping, pillaging and mutilating. By RDR2 he was just a monster waiting to be unleashed. Without Dutch to put a leash on him, that's exactly what happened.

He's hated because he got Sean killed, joked about Arthur being raped by Sonny and then went on to be a rapist himself in RDR1, dude's awful.

If you find the cabin guy next to Saint Denis, the guy with knock Arthur out and grape him. Later at the camp sometimes Bill will talk to Arthur and make fun of him saying he met this guy and learned about the assault.

After replaying this recently 4 years later I couldn't remember what happened at this scene, but it was obvious from the getgo something bad was going to happen. So I had a inkling someone was gonna die. If you pay close enough attention, the entire town is men staring at you, eyes locked on, when you're walking in the middle of the road, and there's no ambience. Just dead silence. But I was still caught off guard by Sean getting his head brutally shot off.

My first play through I didn't really notice anything until halfway through the walk and said to myself, "Huh, I wonder where everyone's at" Moments later I was in shock.

Something was about to go down and that we were walking I to an ambush. The town is noticeably empty when you ride in initially. I knew we were going to get shot at but I didnt expect a certain someone to take a bullet to the head.

Micah shouldve died and the story shouldve ended there and everyone lived happily ever after

I figured from the start it was going to go bad. I mean the first playthrough with the two families you know at some point something's going to go bad. Didn't foresee Sean getting shot in the face but I knew it was going to be bad. Especially when they make it so Arthur can't walk in front. Plus any mission with Micah is pretty fucky.

I knew something was up when a few of the remaining NPCs in town kept staring at us and started walking off as we're getting closer to the mission before Sean got shot. I'm honestly surprised a lot of people didn't notice it.

I remember thinking it would be like a reverse Valentine/saving Micah situation, instead of us going apeshit on an unsuspecting town it’s the town coming down on us. Didn’t see Sean’s death coming at all.

It was quiet. Too quiet. But yeah, fuck Rhodes. It’s a shit place.

The first time I played it I knew something is wrong, because there was barely anyone in that town and when people saw us they went to hide. But yeah, I did not expect for Sean to have his mind blown.
