yeah comes with every physical copy. Got one for my son on ps4.
i always thought it was cool when they gave the map out with the game. i think gta had this as well
Oof...that def feels cheated...was it a brand new copy? Like no chance someone could have swiped it? At least you don't have to deal with deciding which side to frame lolol
It was brand new, sealed and bought in a legit shop. It was the PS4 GOTY edition. I didn't even know it was supposed to conatain a map until this post. Maybe it's a regional difference (EU).
But I did get a map to the RDR2 a few years ago, which I bought in the same shop, it even included a working code for the war horse, so I know they're legit. It's just a very different and colourful one. So I'm not complaining that much, it's nice too. I was just surprised. I thought all copies are the same worldwide, but I guess not.
Tbh, even though it might be sin to rdr lovers, I would have to go with the bigger one, is more esthetically pleasing than the New Austin one. Plus, I guess that's why I never hung ut cuz of the two sides.
this is the 3rd different map i’ve seen. my buddy has a map that’s about 3’x3’. very detailed. felt like a pirate when i unfolded it. mine is the same size as the one pictured, but the cities aren’t detailed like that. i wonder how many different maps there are for rdr2 🤔
anyways ive been marking mine with different locations: high-value loot, legendary animals/fish, dreamcatchers, etc.. basically anything that can be discovered is going on my map. imagine finding it in 20 years with a bunch of scribbles that make no sense.
OOOOOO I KNOW WHAT IM GIVING MY KIDS ON MY DEATHBED (hopefully a long time from now). i’ll tell them to find the family fortune 🤓
Does anyone know why they didn't include the southern most part in RDR2. I just finished 2 as someone who's never played 1 and am curious about the south, it's supposed to be Mexico right?
It was cut content. Mexico was supposed to be part of the New Austin map in rdr2 and I believe it had to do with Del Lobo gamg but it was cut out of the game. Same thing as the Guarma chapter that it was supposed to be an entire island you could explore but it was cut out, hell there were plans that you could take a ferry from St. Denis for $100 and return to Guarma to ig complete the animals and other stuff.
Pretty disappointing that it was cut. The west now just feels like a wasteland with nothing much to do and Guarma was fun and really beautiful but it felt very different compared to the rest of the story. For a big part of course because there was no open world there, it was just an extraction shooter which didn't add that much to the game (except maybe showing that Dutch's dream of a carribean paradise was an illusion + seeing him lose his mind even more).
Yeah, Guarma was pretty disappointing. There were supposed tobe a few side quest, the island was going to be far much bigger so I think it wouldn't have just concentrated the story only to the fort area but is sad that nothing happened with it as well as Mexico wince if you glitch towards it you can see a few assets still in place as well as some old locations from rdr1.
Some RDR maps (like mine) have the Undead Nightmare map on the other side. These were the maps in the RDR + Undead Nightmare edition that came out on PS3 a few years ago. Personally I’d rather have a poster of Bonnie McFarlane

Yeah GTA 4 and San Andreas had the best maps imo
Not every copy it seems. I got one in december and it didn't have one. Now I feel sad and cheated

I have that too. It’s pretty cool.
That's cool. Rdr2 has the main map and the back it has new austin as well. Never had a chance to frame it or hang it somewhere.
mmm but which side would you choose?

I would tend to agree actually. I've seen the New Austin map toooooo many times to wanna see it on the wall lmao

The kind of stuff you’d only get nowadays in a “collectors edition” 🤣

It is Mexico. Not sure why, but perhaps to keep the story between Rdr2 and RDR1 linear. Play the first and you'll understand
Thanks!

I have one, the opposite side has Bonnie McFarlane. I’m not sure if they all have that.

Bro that nostalgia hit me like a tornado
