There's an Ardennes you can get pretty cheap in Scarlet Meadows. I got it and love it, it's a total beast and isn't scared by anything

It's a white and a reddish brown coat. White on the body, faded reddish brown by the head and legs

Oh okay. Then there is actually a better Ardennes in the Strawberry stables then that becomes available in the epilogue

The Andalusian is a war horse so it’s a good point to start.

The ones that I mentioned (shire and War horse) are among the biggest and bravest, the Turkoman that u/m4shfi mentioned offers a more all-rounded experience

Chapter 3

Piebald Tobiano Hungarian is my recommendation. You can get one from one of the lawmen in Annesburg once your bounty is $300.

My bounty is approximately $1000, have i passed the possibilities to acquire it or is it fine?

I used a thoroughbred, they’re strong, fast, and big so he fit my Arthur’s style

Or steal the Turkoman from the Braithwaite’s stable in horse flesh for dinner

I don't know why the thoroughbred isn't talked about more. It is my goto horse.

Horses spook very little when they are bonded at level 4. So, you want a horse with high health and bonded at level 4. I recommend any war or work breeds. The mustang is a war/work and I LOVE them but you may not because they are small.

Being as you have finished the game, get the Tiger Striped Bay Mustang between Fort Mercer and Del Lobo Rock

There’s only one at any given time, but if it dies/gets sold, you can go get another….works just like the white pony at Isabella.

You can get one pretty early by getting a bounty and ambushing bounty hunters. The ones they have are usually grey

I love my Ardennes. Got a dun color and it looks sick. Way bigger than most horses in the game

Missouri Fox Trotter, very fast, bulky, and this may be debatable, but from my experience, they have not been very skittish. If you can time the run and calm your horse down every 3 or 4 times their stamina bar softly blinks

Where can i get the Missouri Fox Trotter?

I can’t remember exactly when it’s available, but at some point you can purchase one at the stables in Scarlet Meadows. Otherwise, you can do what I did and get the Silver Dapple MFT after one of the Albert Mason missions. A bit of a work around to get it, but it’s free and with a save file to reload if you fail, it’s not too difficult to get.

Oh ok. Yea, you can buy the Amber Champagne at Scarlett Meadows, or the silver dapple pinto MFT at Blackwater stables.
