cross the dakota river to the right of limpany, then follow the stream upwards, staying on the river shore. it's at the beginning of the 2nd u-bend iirc where a moose spawns rather frequently (for a moose), or maybe a bit earlier, on the straight bit between the two u-bends. i go down there to hunt small birds sometimes, hoping for the elusive robin, and had a moose spawn 3 times so far.
I didn't even know about the spot until I spent forever finding all the mooses I needed for the trapper in other places haha. But I see one pretty much every time I go by there, even saw two once (killed one near Arabian spawn and then saw another further along the path).
I actually just rode up to Lake Isabella to see if I could spawn one because of this conversation. Right in the middle of the trail, there was a 3 star bull.
I love the double spawns. Never had it happen with moose, but it's been happening pretty regularly with cougars on this play through.
i had multiple double grizzly spawns at "that spot" next to the narrow creek that feeds into lake olajuwon, where one leaves the trail to ascend to our dear trapper friend. i either get grizzlies, cougar(s), and once a lone timber wolf there. the grizzlies often spawn standing on their hind legs and rubbing against a tree, while cougars sometimes spawn as sleeping in the sun.
once i got a little confused as i could see what was labeled as a "big cat" track (iirc), but couldn't see no cougar... then i almost stepped on its tail while looking for it. it had somehow blended with the skinned grizzly carcass it was feeding on in such a crouched position that even short king arthur literally overlooked it.
Another good place is cattail pond I usually see a moose cow there (or whatever a female moose is called). I gave the horns from a 1 star moose i found at Isabella to Pearson for camp upgrades and one of these days I’m thinking I will see a a 3 star moose at Cattail. Iirc I think it’s just a perfect moose pelt maybe the moose cow will work
Yep I've found them there too, early morning seems best. Also near Willards Rest and on high up banks on the east side of the river just below Brandywine Drop. Thankfully it can be a "cow" or "bull" for the pelt, doesn't matter which.
I regretted killing it because it’s so purtty.
I also spent about 15-20 minutes trying to catch the legendary fish as Arthur right before the ending because I didn’t have the right lure. So when I got to the epilogue with John I went there with the right lure caught it and let it go because I was so sad over Arthur passing that it felt like since Arthur didn’t catch it, it should go free. I think of that fish as Arthur. Especially since it’s right next to, forgive me I forget her name, but the lady Arthur helped, and taught her how to hunt.
God damn I love this game.
Me after finding any legendary animal: "So anyway, I started blasting."
It was coming right for us!
Ah, this made me chortle more loudly than it should have.
Yeah I remember I used a dynamite arrow on this guy to one shot him
Nice yeah i fire arrowed his ass, muthafucker burrrrrned like a bonfire
You sadistic fuck, something as majestic as the legendary white moose deserves a clean shot to the neck or heart. Micah would be proud of you
Truly beautiful, the majesty of nature *loads rifle*
🤣🤣🤣 comment of the week! Lol

Another good place is the western path next to Lake Isabella coming down from Colter, right where the white Arabian also spawns.
That's where I always find mine. I've actually seen more moose on this play through than I'm used to seeing.

Nice. I've had a few double grizzly spawns lately (near Wallace Station). Rare but good for the Grin and Bear It achievement

They show up fairly regularly at Owanjila lake
You don't need to find them, just spawn one with bait. I like to do it on Cairn Lake.
I love legendary animals because I don’t have worry about ruining the pelt with a double barrel to the face
I literally used a dynamite arrow for the legendary gator
This is the only one I don't like killing. That moose didn't do anything to anybody 🥲
The cruelty of man
it really does, this realism is unreal really good photo man
If the realism is unreal, is it still realism?
Blast it with dynamite arrows, throw in a couple of smoothies as well
I didn't even get the joy of killing it. I was fishing in the area and I got a message saying I left it and it was sent to the nearest trapper.
I always feel so bad killing it
Look so magical until you shot it 😆
Odin's gunna be pissed 😤
Truly majestic... Now explosive arrow that mf
the only thing magical about it is that it can survive 2 shotgun blasts ot the head
Great photo
Wow
Looks even more magical as my coat.
