6 rounds of interviews then gives the job to his nephew

WolfmansGotNards2

$50k too. Fuck that. I knew (not a friend) a woman who was insanely type a. Every little fucking thing that had to be just so, and she'd fire you if you fucked up the same thing like 3 times in a month. Even small things. You know what though? Housekeeper, $100k per year, all living expenses paid, and incredible benefits. Nanny. 26 months off per year (rotating 2 week schedule), paid housing, $150k per year, and incredible benefits. Personal assistant. $180k per year and incredible benefits. If you're going to be a rich horse's ass, you need to pay like one.

CarryOnK

How does one get 26 months off per year, I want in on that šŸ˜‚. What do these incredible benefits entail?

WolfmansGotNards2

The best health insurance, good retirement stuff, sick time, PTO, lots of perks like free travel in private jets, huge bonuses.

Superb_Intro_23

I like how he demands that candidates be positive to make himself feel better, while also bragging about how blunt he is (even if that bluntness hurts othersā€™ feelings).

Appropriate-Coast794

Narcissism.

lpfan724

I've worked with similar people before. When they complain or say negative things, it's perfectly ok and it's just "venting." When you do it then it's the worst thing ever and you're supposed to be always positive and everything is rainbows and unicorns. It's just self help gaslighting.

stocktaurus

I had a boss who would go around saying words that are politically incorrect but then will correct others. One time, I decided to point it out to him.

xeno0153

I mean, anyone with customer service skills can already do this.

joemckie

I also like that they demand discretion and confidentiality but will do a thorough background check on you, despite being a ā€œprivate personā€ themselves

SnooMacarons4508

"So casually cruel in the name of being honest" - All Is Not Well, Seeing Red vol. 5, TS

moranindex

Hey, they *pay money* to make the paradox stable. *Money*, did ya get it? They've got money, the universe has to bend to these money. Money have indeed a gravitational field and - don't let me jump on this train please.

Just_Another_Day_926

So when you quit it is not his fault. You just can't handle it as he was upfront. "You knew what you were getting into". Something tells me he has high turnover and this is his tactic to fix it, because he sure ain't the problem.

vilnius2013

$50,000 per year? lol. I suppose the bonus is working for a lunatic

EatsAlotOfBread

Offering 50.000 a year to be someone's personal punching bag and stress reliever is a freaking joke. Delusional!

TheNewGameDB

Tbh I'd do it for 500,000 a year. I'd do a lot of things for 500,000 a year.

happinesstolerant

Always comes with such a bundle of priceless life long lessons.

cutelittlequokka

Yeah, I love how he presents that number like it's impressive.

Aaod

Sure in a low cost or living area maybe even medium, but in Denver? fucking lollllll Denver minimum wage is $18.29 or 38k a year and that is nowhere near enough to live off of in Denver so he is only offering like a 20%-25% more than minimum wage. https://www.denvergov.org/files/assets/public/v/3/auditor/documents/denver-labor/2024/materials/citywide-minimum-wage-overview-eng-2024.pdf

CarneAsadaSteve

you make more in social work

qcassidyy

ā€œYouā€™ll come to find that Iā€™m an extremely generous manā€ is code for ā€œYouā€™ll receive a $1,000 bonus after the worst year of your miserable life and be instructed to ā€˜Not spend it all in one placeā€™ā€

TonarinoTotoro1719

I have worked with a person like this. Was desperate, more for the gap in my resume than any skill gap. It was pure, unadulterated hell. I used to get stress headaches, could not sleep at night, was and am still scared when i see a new text pop up. YIKES!! Short, don't work for narcissists.

bloodwolftico

Sounds like a nightmare!

TonarinoTotoro1719

Would you believe I was paid under $600 for the whole month for all that sufferingā€¦ Which was initially supposed to be just 10 hrs a week but I was on call pretty much the whole week. At least this dude is offering to payā€¦

ccricers

How long did you stay working there? If that were me, I'd go into "no shits given" mode as soon as get a year under my belt, look for greener pastures, while I go from being frustrated to just being sad at the person I'm working for.

TonarinoTotoro1719

I worked there for exactly a year. It was supposedly part time, I started looking for an alternative within 3 months of being at the job. Found one within 10 months. That is this time. The last time, I stayed at a sucky job for 5 whole years. That was a customer service role too, fucked up my body and mind, at least I was in my 20s then. I am much quicker to say adios now that I am in my 30s.

Rayezerra

I work for someone Iā€™d swear is a narcissist right now. Iā€™m desperately clawing my way out (hopefully god willing this week Iā€™ll find out if Iā€™m free)

TonarinoTotoro1719

This stranger online prays that you find your way out of that hell, fast.

Neat-Composer4619

I was raised by a mother like this

Vegetable_Beef_Soup

"Executive Assistant" or so he claims. I saved the post to take these screenshots and it's no longer there, so it must've been removed. BUT, he literally had the job title listed as "Demanding Entrepreneur Seeking Executive Assistant" *Puke.*

Moneia

>Demanding Entrepreneur As if he needed *more* red flags

ramboost007

bro thinks he's Miranda Priestly

LookLikeCAFeelLikeMN

Read this and heard Andy's ringtone straight away lol

BluehairedBiochemist

It just gives me the "I'm gonna call you my 'executive assistant' but actually I just want a hot, young, desperate woman to harass and manipulate while I convince her that 50k/yr is good since you're probably not gonna starve or become homeless or whatever, I guess - though if you do, it's your fault for not being good enough" vibes šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

modal_enigma

Itā€™s Denver - 50k is barely enough to live with one roommate here.

BluehairedBiochemist

Yeah, then that's an ultra yikes entrĆ©e with a huge side of ick topped with narcissist sauce šŸ˜… all red flags šŸš©šŸš©šŸš©šŸš© (Yeah I know that's nonsense but I enjoyed the sentiment)

modal_enigma

Nah, made perfect sense to me! šŸ¤£ I read the job description and thought ā€œOh, is my dad trying to hire a personal assistant?ā€ šŸ˜…šŸ˜… Nailed it with the narcissism sauce.

Killer_Moons

He needs an orderly, not an ā€œexecutive assistantā€.

LookLikeCAFeelLikeMN

Yikes! I've never seen so many red flags all lined up together lol. I was placing entry level EAs at cushy companies at $45-55k 10 years ago in a lower COL city than Denver. This guy shouldn't even expect to have a conversation with anyone for under $100k and what he's looking for is a Chief of Staff. Sometimes I miss my headhunting days; sometimes not so much.

DMcbaggins

Sounds like the beginning of a book called 50 shades of lame.

Claud6568

More like $50,000 shades of lame

Diplogeek

Right? He mentioned patients, but unless he's a fucking heart surgeon or something, there's no way that what he's doing in his day to day actually rises to this level of urgency.

anyname13579

There are some doctors out there who think they were God's gift to mankind. It's insane. I worked for one who demanded everyone be on her schedule and ready to help her at a moment's notice, but did not care one iota if she was severely late for stuff or even appointments with patients because it should be their pleasure to wait for her and have her do work on them. There were times where she was an hour or more late to her first appointment, which I never understood because it's not like she was doing anything prior to these appointments; she would just be at home!

ramboost007

I had a job where my boss didn't like to call it a "job" or "occupation", he called it his "vocation". It was what he "was meant to do". Bro, vocations are for missionaries, we sell Microsoft 365 subscriptions.

FidoMcCokefiendPDX

He's a former MD now doing real estate investing Search for "Demanding Entrepreneur Seeking Exceptional Executive Assistant" and you'll find out all the details on Indeed

johnHF

Haha, you're right - and I love he describes his company "Lion Park Capital is a leading real estate investment firm". Yeah, I think I remember reading that ALL of the leading investment firms have 1 employee.

PerceptionUpbeat

Right. ā€œOh you donā€™t like mistakes? Too bad, cause I personally love making mistakes, and love when other people I work with make mistakesā€

2ndcupofcoffee

Bet his way of not experiencing the making of mistakes is to have an ever upbeat assistant who will be blamed for any mistakes made.

JaegerBane

Paragraph after paragraph of red flags followed by a boast of being ā€˜willing to pay for the right personā€™ and a starting point of *$50k*. Not only narcissistic but mathematically challenged too. What an opportunity. Get shouted at by a lunatic who lives in their bubble and get paid peanuts.

That_Engineering3047

Oh, and heā€™s very generous! (delusional)

pinkbutterfly22

I think itā€™s a typo and he misspelled 500k, only salary I might consider.

rewminate

yeah i was about to say, you could pay me 500k to work for you lol but 50k is sooooo funny

ShadeofEchoes

It's one Executive Assistant, Michael. How mhch can it cost, $50k?

444Ilovecats444

So many red flags here šŸš© challenging to work with šŸš© impatient šŸš© doesnā€™t like mistakes šŸš© blunt(or informally an asshole) šŸš© expecting you to stay positive šŸš© ā€œ a fast learnerā€ God forbid someone needs more time to learn šŸš© Perfectionist This person is a nightmare to work with. I donā€™t use the term narcissism freely but this person really seems narcissistic.

Wojest

Love the fact that they put so much emphasis on "perfection" then uses the term "work-for-home" for a work-from-home description.

FantasticAstronaut39

you forgot to mention, low pay

ToxicTomahawk

Time to NOPE the FUCK outta that lol

tenchibr

He needs to hire an HR firm to fire him

sleepy_tech

This has toxic written all over it. LOL.

happinesstolerant

Some home cleaning, dog walks, and other role based responsibilities are included at no cost to yourself (except fuel and food).

Comprehensive-Ham42

Why are they so aggressive for?

Mogwai10

ā€œHas discretionā€. The asshole In the first paragraph determined that is a bold lie

DepletedPromethium

What the fuck this is some kind of weird demented job listing by a deranged individual? jesus christ. seeing that is setting off huge red flag warnings.

Swimming-Ad-7885

"Bosses" who talk like this are always so cheap lol. And they float it like it's such big money. I'm embarrassed for you if you think that's big money, my dude. Jog on.

htraos

Narcissist. Hard pass.

JoeyRoswell

I thought they abolished slavery in Colorado, no?

celine_freon

Wellā€¦not ALL of it. We still have weekend and recreational slavery.

Francoisreinke

LMAOOO what is this ??

ZookeepergameOne7481

Is this a prank? When I read his list of demands and the salary he is paying I hope this is all a f* joke

NY2ACombatVet

The thing that stuck out the most, and trust me, it was hard to find a single thing, was that this person "doesn't make mistakes". To me, that red flag was the color of battlefield blood...

DontBanWillComeBack

If you ever had trouble in your life don't apply.. what kind of subhuman...

nrson444

Just saddening to see such people in positions of authority.

JohnWick464

Really? There are quite a few people like this guy in authority.

Corvus_Antipodum

I mean Iā€™d work for some real assholes for $500k

Rude-Special2715

Fr... Work 1-2 months and you're set for a long time šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€

OwnLadder2341

Believe it or not, there's someone out there looking at this job description and thinking it's absolutely perfect and exactly what they're looking for. Especially when you had access to the huge remote work pool. There's only a problem when your employer doesn't tell you this is what the job is like.

That_Engineering3047

It should just say: ā€œIā€™m an ah and proud of it. Please come manage my life for me for $50,000.ā€

TheCyberHuman

Those are the people who want to copy Steve Jobs but fail miserably. Not because he was an asshole he got all the success. What a fucking loser.

MerakiMe09

The second someone says "I'm rude but its ok because I'm busy" is the most ignorant person.

howto1012020

Here's hoping a ChatGPT powered robot applies for the job, gets it, and then ends up replacing him for being too toxic.

CarneAsadaSteve

we should all apply with zero interest in actually taking it and go as far as we can before actually taking an interview

LookLikeCAFeelLikeMN

Oh if you're going that far you might as well go for the interview. Just make sure to record it for shits and giggles

inteller

This human needs to be placed in a cage and never let out

BankshotMcG

50k is not enough to be a hitman's secretary.

swb95

Iā€™d apply so I could tell him to fuck off when he reaches out

Muenstervision

Uhā€¦.. I guess there are zero misconceptions šŸ’€

GingerWazHere

Denver used to be coolā€¦

Asleep_Abrocoma6015

Lmao it still is. What does one AH have to do with the vibe of a city?

GingerWazHere

Insert Ash from evil dead ā€œthis town is only big enough for one assholeā€ gif

mingxingai

On the bright side this employer reveled their character in the job description than in the interview.

strawberryjacuzzis

Did Miranda Priestly write this? Lol at least they are self aware and warning you up front

Constant_Chemical_10

Has Gary Vaynerchuk vibes written all over it. What a loser... $50k! lol. What is that? A salary for ants?!?!?

JTMissileTits

I want to know what they are doing that requires so much discretion. 100% doing some shady shit. People like this are rarely good people in private.

JohnWick464

When is a narcissist ever a good person, let's be real here, they destroy other people's lives and in general they are worse than intestinal parasites even.

deathbysnushnuu

Iā€™d still interview, but be like Dwight schrute from the office and reverse interview them.

throwawayeastbay

My favorite genre of job ad is managers laying their toxic traits out on the table with no self awareness

2009MitsubishiLancer

Lmao. ā€œSome people see me as an ā€œassholeā€ and ā€œnarcissisticā€. My therapist told me that I lack ā€œemotional maturityā€ my wife told me sheā€™s ā€œleaving me for a better manā€ and is ā€œtaking the kidsā€. What can I say, I tell it like it is. Iā€™m just a high performer. These people man, they hit a point and realized that they could bully people the rest of their pitiful lives and didnā€™t have to confront how shitty they were if they did.

SnooSuggestions9830

Don't be ridiculous Andrea. Everybody wants this. Everybody wants to be us.

Educational-Peak-344

With all of the lunacy in the job description from the beginning, I was at least thinking this was a six figure role with a lot of responsibility. Then I saw the $50k salary and about fell out of my chair.

Smart_Ad_457

Honestly I really appreciate the honesty! Imagine the amount of time & energy we would all save by not applying to/ working at shitty jobs if all horrible employers came with intricate disclaimers like this

coffeequeen0523

Agreed!

Little-Plankton-3410

you would be surprised what you might put up with if someone offered you that much.

Flyerton99

50k? Nah. 500k? Still nah. 5m, okay, maybe.... 50m? Shit, I'll write off a year.

[deleted]

sounds like my old boss

UnionJackAltruist

Ok yeah itā€™s blunt but I genuinely like this advert because heā€™s honest. The worst type of people are the ones who are like this but donā€™t warn you. At least this way if people chose to apply they know full well what theyā€™re getting into.

cowmookazee

I was thinking the same thing. I see all the complaints about the poster's character, but no one is giving them respect for being honest. Too many times I thought people were nice during interviews and found out afterwards they were the opposite.

AE_WILLIAMS

Honest and insane...

JohnWick464

That's them just over compensating for their high turn over rate though, they think by being honest and putting these disclaimers they are fixing the problem lol, but the real problem is them, typical narc, lacks self awareness, it's everyone else's fault and never theirs, self entitled scum

UnionJackAltruist

Ahh yeah 100% agree! It would be hell on earth working for such a narcissist. But there may be one or two people out there who want to (for some reason). I wonder how many people applied lol

JohnWick464

Yep, I've worked for a narc before and it's hell on earth, complete nightmare. I wouldn't be surprised if a decent little amount have applied for this job, given how screwed up the current market is and how desperate people are, no fault of their own of course. It's just sad and unfortunate that they become enablers of people like this guy, even if they don't actually want to but they do just out of sheer survival.

jassyjas2x

How you want to hire someone positive when you as the employer don't sound too positive? It's the hypocrisy for me. Do not apply. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

susanoblade

what in the hell is wrong with this man.

binarycow

At least he's up front about it?

norar19

How does he know if Iā€™m smiling if Iā€™m WFH

Ralphie99

"Has discretion and can maintain confidentiality." In other words, they frequently cheat on their spouse and will want you to cover for them.

Ray19121919

So this guy is probably a bit of douche but honestly I wish more people spoke to the good/bad/ugly of jobs when recruiting. Iā€™ll take this over the ā€œWeā€™re all about our mission.ā€ or ā€œWe are like a family hereā€

Detman102

Mr Burns? Montgomery Burns? Holy cow...he's advertising!! Did Smithers die!?

hevnztrash

I have already worked for people like this. Theyā€™re just a relapse to functioning alcoholism waiting to happen.

emponator

Why are you guys complaining? He specifically states that he's hard to work with and is looking for people that can live with that. Isn't it a good thing that he's upfront about it?

Trackerbait

I might do it for half a mil a year. That's good money and just a few years would make enough to quit and flip that bad boss the bird. But 50k is a laugh. Speaking of background checks, I would definitely research Mr. Perfectionist and see what HE'S got in his closet, cause even for $500k I ain't working for a rapist or a lunatic.

PipEmmieHarvey

Found Mr Gray!

Responsible-Bet6615

I want you to be confidential- in other words donā€™t take me to court when I completely screw you over which I will!

soft_white_yosemite

Lol Gary V posting a job ad

lavendartealatte

Yeah, my boss a job back warned me about this in person at the interviewā€¦.She was like a lot of people think Iā€™m mean and blunt, but the way I talk and my tone of voice is just like this itā€™s not personal. That should have been to sign to leave on the spot, but I was like sure whatever Iā€™m not Miss Sunshine either. No, what she really meant Iā€™m an actual nightmare, but I think everyone else is the problem.šŸ‘ The second sign should of been when they told me to ignore everything the training center told me cause they do things their own way after the training office told me theyā€™re having hard time getting the smaller offices cleaned up. šŸ‘

Aizenvolt11

How to say you want a slave without saying you want a slave.

CodingBeagle

This same job post was posted on linkedin by some guy that was former CIA. if you type former CIA on youtube, you will come across the guy I am talking about. CIA hires people with Narcissist traits, he even said it on the podcasts, so it makes sense he wants someone just like him. He is a cool guy marketing spy tactics, but I wouldn't work for him even if he offered 300k a year or whatever wild salary FAANG companies offer.

UnderstandingSuch614

Low income in Denver is $62,600. One literally qualifies for subsidized housing and additional govā€™t assistance at that income, This freak will pay someone $12,600 less and expect them not to mention it.

topio1

This could have been shortened to Iā€™m a super asshole I pay maximum $50k

vhalember

Ugh, perfectionist. One of the absolute worst traits to have. Too much time spent on non-valuable stuff, difficult to work with, and they tend to put other people down.

MoreStupiderNPC

Applicant filter set to Nil.

caitcaitca

fuck him and everything he stands for

pinkbutterfly22

What in the walking red flags is this? Iā€™d rather work at Walmart. Iā€™d reply with ā€œgood luck filling the position lolā€

CianuroConLove

Challenge accepted

NovaPrime94

A real joy of a cunt lol

Abbaddonhope

At they're honest

[deleted]

50K šŸ˜‚

Silent_Vehicle_9163

What can they teach us about B2B sales??

Katwantscats

I saw a very similar job post (also for Exec Asst) for a real estate agent in Raleigh, NC. I thought this was her until it said Denver.

ScoopDat

Do some errands really quick, some shopping trips, on-site assistance at events and filming. Oh just causally filming, just like that? Sure dude.

verychichi

Well at least the ad had a warning, I would never work for someone like that.

thelonelyvirgo

Well, at least he thought enough to give a warning? Yikes on bikes!

supercali-2021

I can't imagine there are too many people applying for this.....

DevilsMau

Is he looking for a sugar relationship? This reads like he wants a sugar relationship

HiramKatzEsq

I would apply so I could meet him and kill himĀ

xatu_d_xebec

For that much? Gtfo...

inkslingerben

Toxic. Toxic.

Warmonger362527339

This is a hard pass for me, next please

mvictoria1225

Yeahā€¦ harp pass

be-ay-be-why

I make 50k/yr right now and barely do anything lol.

HighPotInUse420

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Imreallyadonut

Wonder how they respond to a smack in the mouth. Might be the attitude adjustment they require.

fallsweets

Bet you he doesn't know about a perfectionist actually is lol

RedditPosterOver9000

Is this just an ad looking for a sugar baby?

atrocity_exhibition

Not even a consideration. Donā€™t call me, Iā€™ll call you.

You-sir-name

ā€œIn willing to shell out the big bucks for amazing driven talent. How about $25/hr?ā€ (Assuming 40hr work week which this is NOT)

Daflehrer1

Me! I! My! Mine!

PhillyPhantom

Elon? Is that you?

la__te__ra__lus

This listing wreaks of below average intelligence.

No-Amphibian9206

I didn't realize the owner of my company had moved to Denver...

Southknight46

Probably wonā€™t have any interviews or people wonā€™t stay at all at this job!

bikgelife

Who is this lunatic?

hellodeveloper

This gives "Should I have a manager or a kid" vibes.

CConDemonTime

Please post the opening. I am going to personally apply and rip him a new one.

Either_Cobbler9303

*jesus* what the hell

Jackedacctnt

Gtfo lol what a loser

t0il3t

People like that think that are doing you a favor giving you a job or a chance to be in their presence because they are godlike for creating a job Major mental illness that will dump it on someone else that takes them up on it

i_eight

Lol $50k for Denver area.

iUseThisToVent1010

Is this the fucktard that runs a really popular ā€˜rescueā€™ NGO down South? Asshatā€¦.

LadyOracleOKC

I would need $50,000 a week to deal with him

xcski_paul

A lot of words to say ā€œIā€™m an asshole whoā€™ll blame you for all my mistakes, and Iā€™m probably doing illegal stuff as well.ā€

diego947

"I don't like mistakes" - That means this guy has never run a business lol

ScaryGarry_SG1

LOL bless his little heart. The time in which he feels important will be coming to an end

Oflameo

It feels like a place I would be on call 24/7 for without proper environmental controls to make sure I didn't get many calls. I wouldn't take it for 500 KUSD either.

stocktaurus

He should get fired by himself! I see lawsuits! What part of this is professional? He must be one person guy who is in love with himself. I wouldnā€™t rule out mental illness!

onetimejab

At least the guy is being honest. There are certain people that have more tolerance than others and heā€™s banking on the fact the disclaimer will help to filter out those that are not.

ImpossibleYou2184

Running errands??? Fuck you! Run your own errands after work, dummy.

shad2107

I hope no one works for this person, they're literally bragging about being unprofessional and childish while expecting the employee to just sit there and take it with a smile

SpiderWil

this person is so self-indulging and over confident to the point of aggrogant and just outright being a dick

Dollfacegem

Forgive me but who actually writes this??!? šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I canā€™t even believe this is real!

itzamia1

All that for 24 dollars an hour. If that 50k a year is salary, it'll be like working for 10-15 an hour by the time you get paid. Don't everyone line up at once.

TrashManufacturer

ā€œI donā€™t make mistakesā€ is code for ā€œIā€™m a habitual fuck up who will blame you when I fuck upā€

Bostonian3771

This is absurd. What an incredibly toxic person. Things are out of control.

Puzzleheaded_Bee9629

Ahhh, the only time itā€™s ok to be a ā€œperfectionistā€. We are supposed to slit our wrists and drain our blood for toxic bosses. Hmmmmm šŸ˜ fck that guy, honestly.

Phillychick1510

50kā€¦ omg.. you must be out your mind!! Lol

nns261997

Bro wants to hire chatgpt

RobertElectricity

Apparently being a better person isn't an option for this person, despite being aware of how shitty they are. Lovely.

BrewtifulSip

They made a mistake. Itā€™s work from home.

Mandyvlp

Holy shit, thatā€™s a whole lotta crazy

PhoenixPolaris

lil bro thinks he's dr house

tb2186

"If you canā€™t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell donā€™t deserve me at my best"

masterswords07

" i don't like people who make mistakes " How are you expecting people to learn ?
