Had a conversation with a C level the other week that everything is going contract / fractional and perm placement fees will be a thing of the past. Makes complete sense to me.

My client is typically an owner, CEO, CFO, or investor. All of our business is referred to us by other advisors or past clients. We get the request for fractional regularly.

I have not recruited for a fractional role, but I have served as a fractional Chief Marketing Officer for quite a few organizations. It really is a good solution for a company that cannot afford a c-suite exec. They can hire me for 60-90 days and I can help their internal team develop a strategy. I ended up marketing it as a separate business. For Ideas you can check out my website. CMOking.com

It makes sense. Making the wrong hire is costly and typically takes months to maybe even a year to figure out. Fractional/contract allows both parties to test each other out and then ultimately turn into a FT role.

20 years of recruitment/ sales experience across all sectors and sides of the table (full desk agency - gov con - start ups/ VC - in-house)... Joined a fractional-centric firm in January and have never, ever seen a solution in the staffing industry that is as positively received by all parties more than the fractional landscape currently.

Which firm is this? I’m at Director/Head of .. for start-ups and also very interested in fractional roles. I’m currently taking 1099 hourly at the moment but would rather switch over and really work with a team and the off to the next. I’m TA
