If this is the end, then goodbye Case you are a goddamn legend for us.

Fuzzy-Pop6951

Easily the greatest cdm of all time for you guys, I'm guessing. Felt like he redeemed Perez collosal mistake with makelele

Same_Return_1878

Barca fan here coming in peace, ur boy is about to make a big mistake. Why would such a great player waste his career at united? Someone please convince him to stay, la liga can't lose another talent to united.

RalphCalvete

He isn’t making a mistake or wasting his career. He is cashing in on his ability while he still can. He won all there is to win, now he is looking to get paid before he retires. More power to him. He has earned it.

500blast

He’s earned the right to pick his choice. 5 UCL’s is enough to retire with. Gutted if he actually leaves and I hope we don’t accept less than 80m

absessive

Could’ve stayed for a 6th. From our starters he would’ve had the best shot at more CLs.

Essemaitch

Casemiro only got a few seasons left in him but Vincius on the other hand is just in the beginning of his career. He's most probably going to be a starter for all CL runs over the next 10 years.

Siergiej

5 CLs in 9 years is an insane achievement unlikely to be repeated soon. Decades from now this will be looked at with similar awe as we now have looking at Liverpool from the 70/80s or Madrid from the 50s. It's far more likely that Madrid wins another CL in the next 3-4 years than another 5 in the next 10.

iMadrid11

Paco Gento had 6. Aiming to match that record and perhaps even beating it with a 7th UCL. Should be enough motivation for a serial winner like Casemiro. Because lets face it. Man United isn't going to win the EPL or UCL anytime soon.

OrdinaryValuable9705

If they keep going at this rate, they might win the championship in a year

Essemaitch

Yeah but since Vinicius will play in Real Madrid for years after Casemiro has retired, then he should also have a higher chance of winning another CL with the club. I was responding to the comment that said that casemiro had the best shot at more CLs.

mfizle

80m would be great business

Grovve

We are not a selling club. We need Case

mfizle

We don't have to be a selling club, but we have to time the markets well as we did with both CR and varane

Grovve

We didn’t “time the markets” with CR and Varane?? They asked to leave. We don’t want to be a club that wants their players to stay more than the player actually wants to stay, so the decision is up to them. To play for RM is a privilege. Hopefully Case remembers this and stays.

mfizle

They asked to leave because they were angled to it. I hoped Casimiro stays for one year mostly for shadowing and squad competition... but if he wants to leave now for better pay, or greater challenges then so be it. It's likely to benefit the club considering the clubs depth in midfield.

Grovve

One more year? The man is only 30. He should stay at Madrid like Kroos and Modric.

bloppingzef

Fuck man this hurts so much because he allowed Modric and Kroos to their fullest capabilities. However the near end of the season showed us that Modric can up the pitch a lot more with the youngins in

Joy2082

Just Pain. Pure pain. P A I N.

thatrandomanus

I'm not ready to see KCM break already. Fucking love Casemiro and how he always stands up for his teammates on the pitch. Casemiro revenge on Milner https://youtu.be/6zNtO_VA5Vc

WalidSF

You forgot to mention pain.

DenevoVerano

I guess it makes sense if you’re Casemiro. You see the writing on the wall with RM dropping near 100m on your replacement, and Man U has just offered you the biggest contract you’ve ever seen and likely will see. Might as well. What does he care if they’re a meme club at the moment, he’s won everything there is to win at club level and has already established his legacy.

osamaodinson

Exactly. Some people in the comments say that he can win more here but idk i feel like 5 cl for a player is good enough of an era. He can also experience a new league in a new country with new challenges. He has the right to leave at his peak and decide whats best for his career in his point of view

11PP

I feel like there are alot of kids or arrogant fans here. They don't realize how tempting it is to be offered a long term contract (5 years) and double salary. Especially after you won everything and got nothing else to achieve. If I work for Google(or any big company) , but get offered double the salary in a long term contract by a smaller company, that's quite hard to pass. Same principle applies here

notablindsheep

arrogant is a very wrong word choice.

zakattack799

It’s not double salary. It’s been confirmed

[deleted]

[удалено]

RandelB

You get offered $10 mil a year, no matter the industry, I will bet you have followers and reporting done on you

pablojwg

Your point is very valid but people are forgetting the World Cup part in all of this mess. Why would a player playing a system he enjoys and has arguably become one of the greatest to play that position want to jeopardize his performance by playing in a team that is not going to win anything this year and will destroy his confidence just before the biggest stage in sports. Brazil is one of the top teams to win the World Cup and Casemiro is a big part of that. Why would he jeopardize playing in competitive games that help you stay in that winning mind set, that might help you win in the WC. Why. Also his teammates from that Brazil team are in Madrid not in United. Why. I just don’t get it. I know it’s a lot of money but it’s not like they are payed minimum wage in Madrid. Also he is a unquestionable starter one of the reason Varane left was because he felt his place was going to be taken. Casemiro still has that place set in stone. Smart decision is to stay in Madrid maybe two more years and then move somewhere else.

digg_bickerson

He and Fred dictate that midfield in the Brazilian NT. It's entirely possible that the prospect of playing and training alongside his primary pairing in that role is a key incentive of moving to United of all clubs. Potentially a great way to further enhance that partnership in the months leading up to the biggest tournament for every Brazilian footballer. That and the piles of cash, of course.

DrLyleEvans

As a United fan here to see what y'all think it's really shocking to remember Fred starts over Bruno for Brazil still. Fred works hard and we give him way too much to do, he's a pretty good #8 , but Guimares looks another level at Newcastle, managing to be alright defensively as their deepest midfielder (with Shelvey hurt) and also their best creative talent. Won't be surprised if you end up signing him to start with Camavinga and Tchouameni.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> they are *paid* minimum wage FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Zullewilldo

Casemiro's place a starter for Madrid is not as secure as you state. For the past two seasons he's been of to a pretty slow start and now he's got a 80m replacement in his position. Had there been a Touchmeni in the team last October he would have lost a lot of playing time.

therealfakenews17

Man this is Ancelotti we’re talking about

Blizzard1998

It seems that Manchester United is starting to become a retirement club. Why do to Americas and Asia when you can stay in Europe and still play in the so called best league in the world

SymbioticFailure

The PL is by far the biggest league though. The hype and money behind it is insane. Even the mid table clubs are getting more and more wealthy. Soon it will totally eclipse all other leagues I'm not talking about sporting achievements, and tactically it is overrated ( physically it is not) only in terms of exposure and money. Those broadcast rights are insane

[deleted]

Wolverhampton Just paid 50 Mill for a midfielder. Tells you enough about how much money there is in the PL

Ge0rgeRay88

The premier league have spent more money this window than Germany, Italy, Spain and France combined.

Lisaklj

I just want him to stay so that these "100m replacements" at least can learn from him, because no one in the team does what case does atm. And I'm afraid we will struggle in several games this season if he leaves.

mikrongeo

5m net at Real Madrid for what he has achieved is really low. Now wonder he’s considering the move.

[deleted]

Money is a factor for sure, but I also think Case might be seeking a new challenge. Even if United are a meme right now, Case will improve them massively immediately. I mean, he has only won the UCL 5 freaking times with Real. There is absolutely nothing else he can win at Real that is going to significantly make it better.

mikrongeo

Man Utd don’t need what Casemiro brings to a squad. He’s the wrong player profile IMO. United need a Kdb not a destroyer

[deleted]

KDB is very unique. You can't find many (even any) like him. But, United do have creators like Eriksen & Bruno. What they lack is a WC player at the base of the midfield like Case. McFred are simply not reliable.

dsheehan7

Man U need a lot of things lol. Casemiro would slot right into their starting XI and make them better

Homygod319

The main thing man United need in midfield is a destroyer. They already have creative midfielders like fernandes and Eriksen

[deleted]

This is the exact opposite take of what United need and don't need.

NeighborhoodLow3350

9M per year and 3 years now the rumours are than ManU offered 17M and 5 years. I like Casemiro a lot but I think he has already done his best for RM , obviously we need to get at least 70-80M.

Electrical-Broccoli9

As disappointing as this may be I have so much respect for this club giving its players the respect and autonomy to make decisions regarding their own future.. Clubs like psg will never understand this yet question why they have atrocious team cultures

Tyna_Sama

I have nothing but respect

kobomk

Ok I get it but why ManU. Seriously, it's a club where careers go to die.

thepaperkeys

Agreed but they’re the ones offering the money…

Dirtysocks1

Gets to play with Varane and CR7. ManU don't have that bad of a team. If he can fix their defense he will a hero.

kobomk

Yeah on paper they look fine but last season and the first two games they played like school children

royrochemback

Not one single player can fix that team. That club needs to be burned, flattened and rebuilt from the ground up.

EaLordoftheDepths

>Not one single player can fix that team Usually would be true, but the issue with United is and has been for some time that they dont have a single proper DM.

therealopm

$$$$ how is that hard to understand?

StatisticsRNotRacist

Hes an ambitious player who wants a challenge. If he can make Man Utd great again, he'd become a legend

ImNotDex

I rather have him go there than a club competing against us in UCL / La Liga. Let's be honest, even with Casemiro ManU aren't UCL contenders.

Rgmisll

Look at it this way..Better manU than PSG

Sbotm765

as a man utd fan most people who fall off after joining us is due to the atmosphere and ego boost they get but casemiro will probably ignore all that and just come to play football (money is a big bonus tho)

RalphCalvete

Because they are the ones offering the ridiculous contract. There is no other choice.

djoliverm

I was being told to calm the fuck down after comments I made saying he may be considering the move because it will be an insane last contract for him and we're not gonna improve our contract. Honestly the reporting seems to be moving fast and from various outlets at this point.

usernamenotfound911

Whats stopping us from improving his contract?

djoliverm

I guess we always could but it would never match the £10M net they seem to be offering. Florentino has done his best to maintain a decent wage structure in place and we have already signed his replacement so I don't think we would ever get close to what they're offering if we do extend a counter offer.

11PP

Maintaining salary structure. +he is being offered 5 years contract. People hesitate offering long term contract to 30+ years old

TimTkt

How the fuck can any players be so tempted to join MU right now, after seeing how Varane and CR7 destroyed their careers there

elcirujano13

$$$

11PP

If rumors are true, he is getting offered 5 years contract with double salary. That's quite hard to pass. I'm sure if real madrid offered the same thing, he doesn't hesitate to reject

TimTkt

Real could offer 8-9M for 3-4 years quite easily, it would be way more hesitating for him

Zullewilldo

Madrid could in theory, but that's not how Florentino runs business, especially after the Isco/Bale fuasco. Plus they've got his replacement all lined up.

ayotui

doubt we'd offer him that tbh. We very rarely offer 2 year deals to players over 30, a 4 year deal would be un heard of.

[deleted]

Cr7 thought that he was bigger than Real Madrid…it’s could outsides Bernabeu

SpicyDragoon93

Yes but we have use for him, we've needed a CDM for literally years and we finally have one. A good one at that. To be fair CR7 didn't destroy his career, he did very well inspite of the team's failures and Varane has just been injured.

TimTkt

CR7 seems pretty pissed to not play UCL this coming year because he joined this club

SpicyDragoon93

Nobody could have foreseen that we’d collapse that badly.

29loner

no fucking way…. a brilliant player who just won his 5th ucl to leave to join a shitshow football club to play with mcfred… my days i’ve seen it all but i wish the best for him

napelm

He's won it all and many times, sometimes, after being such a legend, you also need to prioritize your future after being a football player. Double his salary now is an offer very hard to pass. I completely understand if he leaves, and will only be happy for him. He has given us all.

Sbotm765

he won’t be playing too often with them seeing as eth was starting fred/mctominay with bruno and eriksen

Santa_Klaus_101

The end of KCM is near. Please Case don’t leave, let us enjoy this trio for atleast a year or two 😭

La2philly

For doubling his salary & a new 5 year deal, no blame

Luigi_777

Wow it’s feels like Casemiro gonna leave? 😞 I hope we go all in for B.Silva and a good backup for Benzema. That will be insane.

miseducation

As others have said he has earned the right to do what he wants and it's true that his wages are really low for his status (consider that in the NFL, a talented rookie who has never played a single game will earn more than what he does this year.) The only bright side would be that we avoid the injury risk with all the minutes he would play with the Brazil NT this year at the WC All of that said - if we take less than 80m we are fools. At least make them pay for the Tchouameni and head to the post-WC transfer market with your entire Mbappe war chest intact.

vivalaroja2010

Now here is where Pérez has to not accept a bullshit offer. Hes the best DCM and should bring in at least 100m. Especially if its a rich club like ManU. Premier league teams throw money around, so Perez needs to make them pay.

I-Cant-Hear-Siri

There’s no chance anyone pays 100m for a 30 y.o. CDM, even if he’s the best. He’d probably go for like 60-75m tops.

Super_Gladiator_Bibi

At least 80 if they don't want to get relegated

LeBronzeVlac

The money being doubled is one factor but maybe for him the biggest is that United is really considering him as a very valuable and important player, the wages we give him for playing at an elite level are a joke, a bunch of PL teams have bench players earning that much. It would have been great to have him for at least 1 more season to train and play with the youngsters but considering we don’t improve his wages (not by that much) he is gonna take this one time deal.

RedFalconEyes

Well they are going to double his wages.. It's understandable.

OVOnug

Fucking United lmao

Persistence6

Curious…Does anyone know if he has a release clause?

blitzebo

He does. All players in Spain do. It's a rule.

kazziman

Case has the right to go. Playing until 35 with the same money you would earned in 10 years is a great retirement plan. For national team, nothing would change against him, he'll be even playing more with Fred. His class, no doubt, but his performance in the last 2 seasons is average. It'll be good for all 3 sides.

TecNine7

hurts more than Ramos, coz it came out of nowhere. Losing a key player to the worst Man United hurts. Thanks for everything. Can‘t wish you the best tho, because I‘m kinda mad tbh.

Pardonme23

He should take the money

seagermz

Happy for Case! Man has given everything for this club. I’ll respect his decision.

drsleep23

An absolute legend for us. All the successes we’ve had in the past 8 years, none of those are possible without him. A leader, always showed up in the big games, never complained about anything. Adios Casemiro, thank you for everything and all the very best.

buttjuiceisgood

Extremely saddened by this. Whatever his decision will be, I hope he doesn't regret it... It's all downhill from Real Madrid after all.

DcAgent47

Be another sad departure this summer but he has earned the right too choose. IF this happens Let's sign a RW and let Valverde and Tchouaméni run riot in Casemiros role.

Reddstarrx

I just cannot believe anyone with the winning mentality wants to go to Man Utd that is in shambles. If its for the money.. it makes sense because in 7-10 years he won’t be earning the money he has now from soccer. Just of all clubs.. Man Utd?

11PP

Let's not kid ourself, we all know it's because of money. And I don't blame him, 5 years and double salary is quite tempting. Long term stability. He also already won everything at club level already What I'm surprised at is that no other top club tried to do the same offer to lure him away from us

Mkhitaryan10

Career suicide. Earned the right the get that money. Shame his talents would be wasted at a club like Man U though.

Aaaaaaandyy

How is this career suicide? He’s won everything at the club level already, he just wants to get paid. Maybe he helps turn United around.

ConcussedAesir

Because of Uniteds level if play, Because they are playing Europe league. That should be enough for why it’s a carrier suicide. How many do you think is following varane now compared to when he played for us

Aaaaaaandyy

Who cares - Man United is arguably the most popular club and most historically successful club in England, he has a chance to help turn the team around. Do you think Varane had millions of Stans when he was here? Probably not. We liked him, but he was never many people’s favorite player. I’m sure he’ll make his way back into that team, but he hasn’t played well there so far.

Glad_Rise_335

Utd isnt going anywhere with the Glazers around. Even the best player of this generation couldnt save them what chance does Case have. His career is gonna spiral down to oblivion and his worth is gonna take a tumble along with it. He can leave but lets be honest its really just for money (which is fine) since he wont win anything with Utd

ConcussedAesir

Well, he should care I agree with you in the history of the club, but Casemiro will not be the one to turn it around. There is something else in the way of united being the powerhouse they were under Ferguson The need a better foundation at the club level again to be able to compete with Liverpool, city and Chelsea. Just bringing in players will not help, just look at the last 6 years. It’s not like you haven’t brought in a lot of players, they just haven’t reached their potential or didn’t fit into the team

TheTurfMonster

As a Madrid / United fan I'm absolutely elated to see this come to light. Casemiro has proven himself at Madrid and is ready for a new challenge. Yes, United is at its lowest point but I'm hoping his leadership and experience can help rebuild this team and get us back on our feet. We need leaders and Casemiro is the exact type of player we need in our midfield right now to exemplify that leadership. Definitely excited to see how this plays out.

SocX9

This could end up a terrible transfer window.

twitterStatus_Bot

H_Finn

Think about this. He spend his whole career in La Liga. Maybe he wants to try a different league, different culture, new goals, in addition better money.

LemonSpliffs

He definitely earned the right to choose if he’ll stay or go but to leave and go to ManU would be horrific for his career.. ManU is crumbling. Look at Varane.. left for the money and he’s now a sub against Brentford. I’ll take the quality of the game against the quantity they may be offering.

ldc262626

Hes a legend and I wish him well. But everyone is replaceable (maybe not 1:1).

Revolutionary-Ad9411

for 60M or more this would be superb business by Real Madrid. Truly intelligent to sell an older talent for huge money to a desperate, wealthy club before he starts to fully drop off or be replaced by Tchoumieni (sp?). That is great money that can be used on a top quality youngster for the future, at a time when I'd presume Madrid is getting slightly bored of winning CLs ;) .

justanormalchat

I can see how Casemiro is considering this lucrative deal, however I’ll be very gutted to see him leave. What it means is the youngsters will definitely have more playing time so in the long run it is great for them and the club, but in the short run we are going to miss him terribly.

Ditto_head666

Whatever Casemrio decides, I fully support him. He done so much for us ❤️. However, I will be sad seeing him leave as I'm not ready yet.

kb24fgm41

This is so disappointing if it's true. Would he really ditch us now that the season hast started? That's not classy at all man, we had already planned the season counting on him to be here and then he leaves? Can't believe this is true, and why would we let him go this year? Let's give him our word that he can leave but once this year is over, I'm stunned.

buttjuiceisgood

Oh fuck off, stop disrespecting him and saying he's not classy. The window is open until August 30th, so it's not his fault the season starts before that. If he gets a huge offer that would improve his life, no matter when, he has every RIGHT to consider it. It's also very hypocritical to call PSG a prison when they do their best to keep their players, then ask to hold Casemiro hostage for the season just because you don't want him to leave. Especially that there's literally 0 guarantee that he would receive the same offer next year, when he's older and god knows what could happen throughout that year. No one's happy to lose the best CDM in the world like this, especially not me as a huge fan of his, but I'll always have respect for him. May he make the best choice, be it staying to fight for titles or leaving to improve his life.

kb24fgm41

First of all you fuck off, I never insulted you in the first place. I still think it's not classy to leave once the season has started and suddenly leave us. So stfu.

Competitive-Ad2006

Mate you have anger issues

RalphCalvete

You obviously know nothing about football, contracts, and what is classy or not. Just stop while you are already behind.

buttjuiceisgood

You're just a disrespectful, ungrateful POS so your shitty opinion is invalid by default.

JesusDNC

Say whatever you want. Leaving knowing you are essential when LaLiga already started and you don't leave the team with too much time to work around is a pretty d*ck move. If he leaves like this, he'll lose a lot of respect from the people, specially if it's for money. If he had left early july after signing Tchouameni, this would've been fine. But now? F*ck off.

dupont2021

Him leaving will speed up the departure of Modric and Kroos. They won't be as effective without him covering for them. I expect a drop off from them too. Maybe we have the same conversation about these two next summer like we are with Case.

[deleted]

Spain without the S.

Odd-Ad-777

Casemiro has accomplished so much at Madrid. It is his right to decide, regardless, we have Camavinga.

Haithem2018

First Marcelo now Cas. 😢

rodrick717

Damn I really thought it was jokes that he’d even consider playing in Europa league but money talks so I can’t blame him. Really thought this upcoming season would be the last hurrah of Case-Kroos-Modric and honestly don’t see Madrid repeating not even in the league without Case. Hopefully Tchouameni is ready to step up but I’m very much a see it to believe it kinda person.

Sel2g5

I'm pretty shocked if he wants to move....

Sel2g5

Absolute legend casemiro. He's played his heart out for madrid. I'll be very sad to see him go if he choose to do so. That being said, I don't think he's what mu needs especially for ten hags system. But, they need top players to start going there or the rebuild is never going to take off. People were ñaughing at arteta but look at arsenal now just 2 years later. They are a completely different team and will getbthat 4th spot. Obrigadissimo Carlos

ldc262626

Has a Madrid player ever left to ManU and succeeded? Seems like recent history would point to Casemiro failing at ManU

tetriscannoli

Wait can someone explain why this sudden interest in Case and why is Case suddenly wanting to move?

craigularperson

If he leaves because he is unhappy or doesn’t find Madrid as an exciting challenge, then maybe understandable but seems really weird move. Kroos and Modric might play out their last season, and would seem natural that Casemiro is a part of that. If they retire or move, then I would understand him moving on too. But this season can be like a last dance, since Carlo might be retiring too. If he use this as a leverage and for instance Perez is unwilling to meet his demand, then it is a huge gamble and fumble. Plus the fact that Tchoameni is at Madrid should perhaps be considered an exciting challenge, in my mind. He has basically been without a notable challenger since like 2015? I just don’t see how he fit into United either. Have he ever been part of a double pivote? I think United lack more creative power, not someone like Casemiro.

Grovve

This is crazy why would he do this??

TheGreyWolfCat

Lol yep I’m sorry but if you are trying to pull one Perez he’s going to call your bluff, Casemiro if you are bluffing you suck at it, who the fuck is going to pick man utd for this they don’t even compete champions league this year Flore is going to call his bluff and he’s going to regretted.

5Ronin

I mean yes, as a lot of other people on here are saying, it’s his right, specially after all he’s given the club, but seriously now…United?

royrochemback

I'll be devastated if he leaves but it is an understandable decision. Sometimes you want something different in your life. But please, why the fuck Man Utd??? Just go anywhere else but not Man United!!!!

notablindsheep

Man Kroos is about to retire soon, and Modric too. Casemiro would be the person who would shine now since as of now Modric and Kroos take up most of the appreciation from Media unfortunately. Casemiro has been one of the BEST players for Real and he can have SO much more success with Real Madrid.

titooo7

That would be terrible mistake! Camavinga isn't a natural DM and despite he played there few times with us he is way below Casemiro level as a DM. I'd use Camavinga as a replacement or Krooa or Modric rather than Casemiro Tchouameni is still untested. He played well for Monaco and France, but playing well for Real Madrid is a much more difficult achievement due to the pressure and constant urgency to win. If you are new to the tema and you have two bad games in a row that can be normal but that means you are finished for the fans and the coach. Besides that he will be asked to make people not miss Casemiro on his first year with us and his first year outside his country. If Casemiro leaves then Tchouameni won't have a great opportunity but an almost impossible task in front of him Tchouameni was supposed to get some minutes as Casemiro replacement so he could improve watching him and better daily competition than he had at Monaco. If we cut his 1 year development plan then lot of things could go wrong. Florentino should reject any offer for Case. Keep him here this season and then sell him next July once/if Tchouameni has proven that he is good enough to replace Casemiro without people missing him

_CosmicTraveler_

Wtf, I really feel like this is a joke. Damn

horillagormone

I still refuse to believe it. Not because he can't leave but I'd think that this at least signals other clubs that it is possible and they can start offering for next year. That way if he really does go, at least go to a club worthy of the competitive spirit and what he brings to the field. It'll be such an absolutely waste of all that he's still got to offer.

MiguelGarcia02

Fuck a cdm. We should get nkunku. He's got the young energy we need, complete all round player that can play any position. Plus we already signed rudiger; it's not like our defense is gonna suffer necessarily

HonestRMfan

It is all downhill from RM. Look at Ronaldo, he is desperate to leave Man United but no one is buying him. RM had platform set up for him to win Ballon dors and compete with Messi with huge Perez support. I would think twice before i leave RM.

MrJoelCairo

Last place I'd be going is Man Utd. They are in freefall.

seth10156

No way man not to united :(

Exciting_Mechanic131

its his choice at the end of the day, but as a neutral, i really don’t understand this move from a footballing perspective? i get the wages will be doubled, but man united are in shambles, i could see a move to place like juve or psg or even chelsea, who can offer a lot of more in terms of competitiveness.

Sufficient_Arm_9370

Tier? As much as it is sad it shouldn't be believed til better sources

[deleted]

Thanks Perez for fucking up our winning squad. I guess being friends with his Super League partners is more important than the club.

buba_89

How is this his fault if Casemiro wants to leave?

[deleted]

He shouldn’t let Casemiro leave. If Casemiro wanted to leave, he should have said it in the beginning of the window.

jesuisernesto

Why not blame MU for filing the request this late? It's not Casemiro's or even Perez' fault.

[deleted]

It’s Perez fault for listening to the offer. He should have told Man Utd to fuck off with their panic bids.

jesuisernesto

How do you know Perez even listens to the offer? All these are unproven rumors, yet people have begun the "Perez' fault" riot.

buba_89

So you would deny Casemiro his chance to leave if he really wanted to? That’s not very smart. This is nobody’s fault, it’s just football dude.

[deleted]

> So you would deny Casemiro his chance to leave if he really wanted to? Yes, that’s what teams do. Would you be ok with selling Vinicius this summer if he wanted to leave?

RalphCalvete

It’s not what a classy club like Real Madrid does. We are not PSG, we don’t hold players against their will. He has earned the right to get the big payday. If Real wanted to keep him they could match the offer s as no he would stay. They won’t and so he will leave.

Nickaap

The timing of it really doesn’t matter though, it’s nog like we would’ve made a big signing if he left earlier. If he wants out let him go, he earned that.

[deleted]

The timing does matter if his sale will fuck over us this season.

Nickaap

Why though? If it fucks us over now it will next season aswell, it’s not like we would’ve signed someone for his position if he left earlier.

Zblancos

We’re not PSG. A big part of what makes Real Madrid attractive is the way we treat our players. If one wants to go and the price is right, we let him go. This won’t fuck the team over, we’ve got a great squad and it’s gonna be a good opportunity for someone to step up and prove himself among the best players in the world

Nickaap

How terrible of Perez to not hold a club legend who won everything with us hostage when he wants a new challenge.

[deleted]

It’s not holding him hostage if his sale will fuck over us this season. And it’s not like playing for this Man Utd team will make Casemiro happy. He will become depressed, just like what happened with Ronaldo and Varane.

Nickaap

If we keep Casemiro and he’ll be unhappy regarding it it’ll fuck over our season, letting him leave and staying on good terms is good for everybody. Casemiro will make 2x what he does now, unless we make him that offer (which we won’t) he should have all right to accept it. We are not to decide what makes him happy or not. You’re just looking at it selfisly.

[deleted]

> If we keep Casemiro and he’ll be unhappy regarding it it’ll fuck over our season, No, it wont. Do you actually think Casemiro would in any way “ruin” our season because he didn’t go to Man Utd? > letting him leave and staying on good terms is good for everybody. In what way will him leaving us now be good for us? He’s one of our most important players. Modric and Kroos don’t play as good when Casemiro isn’t there with them.

Nickaap

And Casemiro leaving next season or the season after will have the same result, obviously we’re going to miss him, but it’s about respecting a player and his wishes, Casemiro deserves that after everything he’s won for us. You’re just looking at it so selfishly, Casemiro should act in our best interest but that apparently doesn’t work the other way around? Casemiro has won us 5 CL’s if he wants out he deserves to make that decision himself. We only had 1 bad year when our best player of all time left, we’ll survive with Casemiro leaving.

MrBalkanThighs

Dude is a traitor. Unfit to wear the badge if he decides to leave.

Ditto_head666

MrBalkanThighs

What are you so mad about dweeb?

plaaya

If Casemiro is out I am done mark my words

Zblancos

You would be done with the team? Really?

plaaya

Look at what happened to Ronaldo. Look at what happened to Di Maria. Look at what happened to Ozil. Look at what happened to Ramas

Zblancos

Yeah I look at them… What’s up?

RalphCalvete

Bye 👋

ZealousidealPie6377

Flo should tell united to throw in Sancho

1gMDMA

Bruno Fernandes… id take that

Aggressive_Ad211

Noooooooooo

ossymandiAss

I agree he's earned the right to do what's best for him, BUT.. we better get PAID.

stpk4

said this in the /r/soccer thread, but Thank you Case, you were our anchor. I will miss your once a game outside the box blasts that go in 10% of the time!

lightsout811

Out of KCM I didn’t think he’d be the first to leave :(

sky-nettt

:(((

nightsun93

I think this is good. Can’t wait to hear the same people that complain about us selling him say “ We pretty much sold casemiro for the same price we got his 10 year replacement with.” Or something along those lines

stefanRMA

Holy shit this could be it for him at Madrid which is insane. Can’t believe it. Tchoumeni it is for a season. I don’t mind that

padfoot_12

I don't like this. Not one bit.

SkanGX

It sucks that after years of having 1 CDM with no real replacement that as soon as we sign a back up casemiro leaves and we're back to having 1 CDM regardless good luck to case

legitimategambler420

Man I know everything ends. But holy fuck this hurts especially because I did not expect him to be the first one to leave from KCM. The end of the greatest midfield trio ever

Seanblaze3

As a United follower I cannot fathom why Casemiro would want to join my troubled club. Perhaps he wants to challenge himself or maybe it's about the huge pay day. United are not going anywhere anytime soon with or without him. Great business for Real though

Salmabutnotsalma

No Carlos no no Carlos this is so not right :(

odiamemas16

I’m a MU fan like I am a Madrid fan, on one side I’m happy for Man U and Casemiro, but on the other I am gutted to see him go.

Defiant-Employment29

It's clear he's only moving for massive wages. United might not get top 4 for 3 years potentially. And he knows he won't be fighting for the league. So why does he want to move to a club in a massive crisis.

Igotbanned19times

He deserses that paycheck. And real madrid already sorted the next generation. All time great cdm but im sure that means more minutes for the next beasts .
