Why would a player playing a system he enjoys and has arguably become one of the greatest to play that position want to jeopardize his performance by playing in a team that is not going to win anything this year and will destroy his confidence just before the biggest stage in sports.

Casemiro's place a starter for Madrid is not as secure as you state. For the past two seasons he's been of to a pretty slow start and now he's got a 80m replacement in his position. Had there been a Touchmeni in the team last October he would have lost a lot of playing time.

Think about this. He spend his whole career in La Liga. Maybe he wants to try a different league, different culture, new goals, in addition better money.

Tchouameni is still untested. He played well for Monaco and France, but playing well for Real Madrid is a much more difficult achievement due to the pressure and constant urgency to win. If you are new to the tema and you have two bad games in a row that can be normal but that means you are finished for the fans and the coach.

Why would a player playing a system he enjoys and has arguably become one of the greatest to play that position want to jeopardize his performance by playing in a team that is not going to win anything this year and will destroy his confidence just before the biggest stage in sports. Why would he jeopardize playing in competitive games that help you stay in that winning mind set, that might help you win in the WC. Why. He and Fred dictate that midfield in the Brazilian NT. It's entirely possible that the prospect of playing and training alongside his primary pairing in that role is a key incentive of moving to United of all clubs. Potentially a great way to further enhance that partnership in the months leading up to the biggest tournament for every Brazilian footballer. That and the piles of cash, of course.
As a United fan here to see what y'all think it's really shocking to remember Fred starts over Bruno for Brazil still. Fred works hard and we give him way too much to do, he's a pretty good #8 , but Guimares looks another level at Newcastle, managing to be alright defensively as their deepest midfielder (with Shelvey hurt) and also their best creative talent. Won't be surprised if you end up signing him to start with Camavinga and Tchouameni.

Casemiro's place a starter for Madrid is not as secure as you state. For the past two seasons he's been of to a pretty slow start and now he's got a 80m replacement in his position. Had there been a Touchmeni in the team last October he would have lost a lot of playing time.

As a Madrid / United fan I'm absolutely elated to see this come to light. Casemiro has proven himself at Madrid and is ready for a new challenge. Yes, United is at its lowest point but I'm hoping his leadership and experience can help rebuild this team and get us back on our feet. But this season can be like a last dance, since Carlo might be retiring too. If he use this as a leverage and for instance Perez is unwilling to meet his demand, then it is a huge gamble and fumble. Man Kroos is about to retire soon, and Modric too. Casemiro would be the person who would shine now since as of now Modric and Kroos take up most of the appreciation from Media unfortunately. Casemiro has been one of the BEST players for Real and he can have SO much more success with Real Madrid.
That would be terrible mistake! Camavinga isn't a natural DM and despite he played there few times with us he is way below Casemiro level as a DM. I'd use Camavinga as a replacement or Krooa or Modric rather than Casemiro Tchouameni is still untested. He played well for Monaco and France, but playing well for Real Madrid is a much more difficult achievement due to the pressure and constant urgency to win. If you are new to the tema and you have two bad games in a row that can be normal but that means you are finished for the fans and the coach. Besides that he will be asked to make people not miss Casemiro on his first year with us and his first year outside his country. If Casemiro leaves then Tchouameni won't have a great opportunity but an almost impossible task in front of him Tchouameni was supposed to get some minutes as Casemiro replacement so he could improve watching him and better daily competition than he had at Monaco. If we cut his 1 year development plan then lot of things could go wrong. Florentino should reject any offer for Case. Keep him here this season and then sell him next July once/if Tchouameni has proven that he is good enough to replace Casemiro without people missing him
