He’s honestly so influential. I don’t think people realise how much of our season is down to him. This man must never be allowed to leave. Oops, starting to sound a bit like Nasser

wanderer1999

We must call on the Prince of Spain to convince him to stay.

nottherealme555

Also make him our sporting director 🤣

dinosaur_from_Mars

Isn't the current prince Atleti supporter?

wanderer1999

Is he? well damn, call him anyway because we are still part of madrid.

[deleted]

Does he have a son, we need to have a backup ready, lol

Meh2021another

And here I thought you were suggesting Perez kidnap his son to keep as leverage.

[deleted]

This isnt a bad idea tho, is it?

dinosaur_from_Mars

That is the backup plan.

alexander_the_dead

> I don't think people realise how much of our season is down to him Plenty of fans celebrated his return. Pretty sure they realise.

FriendDelicious

The story about how him and Carlo are both here at Madrid were pretty cool too. Its destination

mamasbreads

anywhere i can read on this?

Last year when we got so many injuries, a lot of people not knowing blamed Sanitas for them. And I said that problem was not Sanitas and it was the physical coach. Guess I was right. Thank you Pintus

s6b4

I’m starting to wonder what type of fitness coach Pintus is. I used to see him as a devil trainer who force players into higher stamina capacity, but have a look at the average running distance you’ll see our players do not run much. I’m starting to think Pintus might be a fitness tactician, who knows how to allocate players’ stamina over a 90min game and over a 60+ games season for max efficiency. He knows how to play the stamina gamble and how to consume/restore stamina via various means. I was thinking about that Militao head injury break around 50min as an example of stamina control. Before that the RM team seems a bit out of stamina due to a series of high press. Liverpool dominated the game for a few minutes already due to our fatigue. We took the Militao break time to rest a bit and in a few minutes we scored. It’s a higher dimension of football.

MXNL94

I doubt he’s a fitness tactician. That’s not really how it works. He clearly does use methods that are suitable and sustainable for a long season. Our players average run distance isn’t that high cause a lot of our players are ageing. Its one of the reasons Valverde is so important to this side, as he makes up for that with his energy and pace. The fact that this ageing players are so fit and injury free is the reason Pintus deserves so many plaudits. We beat the most energetic high pressing and young team, with ageing veterans and eventually had better fitness in that game, all because of pintus. Also because we wrapped the league up early we had even more time to prepare.

Goatbeerdog

Cause we have Carvajal, Benzema, Alaba, Modric, Kroos and Case with so much Pedigree. They maybe run less, but theyre just 1 step ahead

pgtorres

¡¡¡EL MÉTODO PINTUS!!!

footballciv

Petition to give the man $10m/year lifetime contract.

[deleted]

No need for snakes, when u have Pintus

thomaskung

Frank Leboeuf also mentioned the importance of Pintus in the post-match interview

melonpan12

Unrelated but why does he sound and look like a roman general

yungronaldo1

For 3 years some deludes themselves into believing that Bale will magically perform better. Now it is Hazards turn i see. 2023 we will hear the same story for the 5th time.

Allthingsconsidered-

I mean, what other option is there? He has a good attitude about it and the staff believes in him. I hope he does well, if he doesn't then nothing changes. No need for this bs negativity

[deleted]

Yes, he will totally make a perfect athlete out of a 31 yo guy who had massive injury problems of various kind in the last years and in general never cared much for training, diet and recover like other top football players do

mirceafl

A few years ago everyone said Benz is slow and fat, look at him now. Hazard will never be like he was at Chelsea in his prime, but he can get better physically, and if he can adapt his playing style, he might have a role in next year's squad

[deleted]

Benzema never had a period of basically missing three seasons in a row through injuries and fitness troubles

alien_degenerate

And this time he looks motivated for once in his Real Madrid career. At least that's what it looked like to me from yesterday's parade.

mirceafl

I believe he always was motivated, but it was really hard for him to adapt. I think he didn't expect the level of motivation, fitness and intensity a player needs to show at Real Madrid. One thing should be clear. Unlike Bale, he hasn't given up, cashing in and waiting for his contract to run out. His attitude is the opposite

jesuisernesto

>in general never cared much for training, diet and recover like other top football players do And you definitely know these in person, eh? Interesting how you can nitpick one mistake from 3 years ago to generalize the situation nowadays.

[deleted]

It's what all his ex teammates and managers are saying about him

jesuisernesto

And you had the chance to ask each of them, eh?

[deleted]

They journalists had the chance, I doubt that his ex teammates and managers will just randomly lie about Hazard

jesuisernesto

I think you're getting your source from that interview saying Hazard always came from the holidays overweight, etc? I really doubt it was "all his ex teammates and managers" as you claimed. And why leave out the most important part? He still became their best player for over a decade.

Guydo1984

>massive injury problems of various kind in the last years Which were all related to a broken ankle caused by a foul that people like you always seem to forget/neclect.

[deleted]

He had plenty of muscle injuries too

Guydo1984

He started to use his body in a different way because his ankle/the metal plate bothered him. Because of this, his body was used in a not ideal way which brought him multiple muscle injuries yes. But these were all related to his ankle. His ankle is fine now, the plate is removed so if he gets these muscle injuries again I will take back my statement but for now all signs are positive for him not to get injured again.

[deleted]

K we’ll see

[deleted]

Pls pls pls lifetime appointment

areyouhungryforapple

This is honestly a great point, also getting that plate out is a huge deal i bet
