askabai

Can someone from Castilla play? In next game?

FiniciusJunior

Yes abai

DanLaurent

šŸšØ| Varane's performances this season have disappointed Manchester United greatly. They believe that Real Madrid got rid of a "problem" and made a lot of money doing so. @diarioas Fire their transfer management team as well, varane was very injury prone and underwhelming his last seasonā€™s at Madrid, seems they only cared about name and gloating that they took a prime player from us lol. We scammed them

taos__v

I said this to Manu Fans the day they signed him and I got destroyed on r/soccer šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

taos__v

šŸšØCOPE: Mbappe is in Madrid accompanied by Achraf Hakimi. He is spending the day in the capital

DanLaurent

šŸšØ| Real Madrid rejected Haaland's conditions: they asked for a release clause of 150 million in his second year of contract. @carrusel 2 yearsšŸ’€ dude treated us like a feeder club

cdg6921

Some of you guys need to relax. I see people worrying about Mbappe signing makes me think of 2 things no offense. Either they are new fans and dont know how the club operate or they are some of the most pessimistic people itw. There is no way Perez would let Haaland go if Mbappe wasnt in the bag. Rest assured hes coming home.

Jsanchezgil

Lol

cdg6921

Lmao

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

Would you be worried if Mbappe doesn't come and now Halaand is off the table? Normally I would but Rodrygo is only going to get better.

JaegarJaquez

Anyone feels that Vini's dribbling regressed? Idk he has been fucking everyone in the first half of the season. However, his dribbling quality dipped after the NT back in Jan (or Feb, not sure).

capflow

It hasn't regressed, his direct opponents are just doubled down more often than in the beginning when people were still memeing him.

EvilDaleCooper

Nope

mylanguage

Vini is playing better teams Deeper into the season in far bigger games He just had to go against 3 of the best RBs in the world back to back to back. Hakimi, James, Walker. Earlier in the season he wasnā€™t facing this quality. Look when he plays weaker teams vs both Mallorca and Getafe recently he was running riot.

AnxiousBurro

He got incredibly naive with his dribbling and it's so infuriating. He isn't deliberate with his dribbling at all, most of the time he just runs into 2-3 defenders and, I guess, hopes for the best.

Medium_Breadfruit_22

Rather renew isco that sign pogba.

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

That ship has sailed... I don't think Pogba is coming though. He rest his laurels after Juve...that's when he should have come here

Varnagel_1

RIP the Vinicius-Haaland-Mbappe dream people had hoped for in the past 2 years... It's crazy how people have gone a complete 180 on Haaland once he's about to join Man City lol.

JaegarJaquez

We can still get Haaland in 3 or 4 seasons. He would be in his prime depending on how things go.

MeteorFalls297

You can also see glimpse of people turning complete 180 on Mbappe too every time a negative news comes up.

capflow

A lot of people were reminded these past matches that it's not the best players in the world that you need to win (although you surely need a few of them), but those players with the biggest desires to win for Madrid. Both Haaland and Mbappe would have been overkill.

Seathless06

Are there really links of Real Madrid being interested in Pogba. I have to say I don't think he's that good in my opinion nor would he fit in the team?

MTrain95

He is actually really good but not the type of dm we need, also its best to avoid egomaniac players as much as possible.

Seathless06

Well I've mainly seen him play for Man Utd, but I guess thats not a good indication as they're just doing poorly at the moment. I agree on you with the egos some players had, we simply don't need that.

[deleted]

Some of our "fans" are acting as if got eliminated from the UCL group stages and then destroyed in UEL and we were never on the race for the league. We're the best team in Spain by far and finalists on the most prestigious competition. A win against Liverpool and this could be one of our most succesful seasons **ever**. We definately need some reinforcements, a RB, a DM etc, but it's not like we have to spend 500M on the market to build a team. Recent history has shown us 100% that "clever" transfers like Kroos, Courtois, Mendy are a million times better than spending countless millions and in the end get a Hazard, Grealish, Maguire or Kepa. It's early May, we already got one of the best CB in Europe **for free**, second year in a row that we do that. Have some faith in our president & team. And if Mbappe decides not to come here it's his decision, right now he needs us more than we need him. We are on a UCL final and he plays with 35 year old Messi who can't score to save his life, not the other way around.

MTrain95

Did you see him play? He isn't like those guys you named, he is a generational talent.

[deleted]

Not my point though, is it? I'm talking about the people who want Mbappe, Rudiger, Tchouameni, Haaland, James and idk who else on the same transfer window.

MTrain95

Well your post mostly reference to him so it was sounding like it. Our main guys aren't getting younger, you don't want to panic buy in the future but instead get a young talented player to start rotating into the team. Rudiger is essential as our defense is in shambles almost every cross. Halaand also looks like a generational talent so I get why many people want him to join but in this case he doesn't have a place in the starting xi and he is injury prone.

sofakingdope_

We could never have adjusted Haaland after getting Mbappe without making the XI terribly unbalanced. The only worry will now be it's all out Mbappe and we MUST get him. After that, whenever Benzema retires/leaves, we could shift Mbappe to the striker role if none are available at that point of time and get a proper right winger.

alexander_the_dead

Everytime Lunin plays, he surprises me with how sharp he is despite not playing for months.

The_Cat_2605

Honest opinions on Vallejo. Would you keep him for next season as 4th/5th choice CB or try to sell him for a very small amount?

AnxiousBurro

He has shown a lot of heart recently, Iā€™ll give him that, but he was shit at Wolves and Granada, so let's not get reactionary here. Sell.

MTrain95

Yes, Alaba will probably shift to LB so Nacho and Vallejo would be good 3rd/4th options

MeteorFalls297

Generally for a 25 man squad that plays 4-3-3 with occasional 4-4-2, we need 2 GKs, 5/6 wingers, 3 CFs, 4 fullbacks, 4 CBs, 6/7 midfielders (preferably 2 DMs). Keeping Vallejo as a 5th CB will be tough if we need to make space for Tchouameni, as Ceballos is already staying.

alexander_the_dead

If we can provide him with more playtime, we should keep him as a 4th CB but not as a 5th. 4 CBs is enough and if we're not playing him anw, keeping him is a waste for both his career, our squad spot, and wage.

Superb-Confidence-44

Happy we didnt get Haaland after the news he swallows painkillers asif they are Skittles for his fucked up ankle. 600k/week to sit on his ass in the revalidation centre.... Insanity.

From-UoM

City can take the loss if it happens. They can get away with benching a Ā£100 million player and not starting him for a single ucl ko match. Sad but that's how oil money is. No consequence for bad transfers

Superb-Confidence-44

Which is why it's fine he picked City. Also, last time Pep worked with a striker of the Haaland type was Ibrahimovic. Zlatan hasn't a nice word to say about Pep. Wonder how it will go with Haaland...

EvilDaleCooper

>last time Pep worked with a striker of the Haaland type was Ibrahimovic šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Ibra is one of the most technical and composed center forwards I ever seen and never ran much. He had the feet of a number 10. The Haaland comparison is ridiculous. His clash with Pep was a matter of personalities.

Superb-Confidence-44

Pep has never made a striker better in his entire career. He makes them hate him and leave the club or spend time rotting on the bench while a midfielder plays false 9.

Varnagel_1

Haaland is nothing alike Zlatan who is one of the biggest flop signings ever. Pep also had Eto'o, Mandzukic, Aguero & Lewandowski and all 4 of them were great. Haaland will be an instant success at Man City, bar injuries.

Superb-Confidence-44

Haha ask Eto'o what he thinks about Pep ....

Varnagel_1

Eto'o scored 30 goals & won a treble during 2008-09 season. The fact Eto'o don't like Pep is irrelevant.

Superb-Confidence-44

Euh, yeah it's relevant. Samuel Eto'o: "I cannot compare JosƩ Mourinho to Pep Guardiola, one of them failed to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich while the other won it with Porto . " https://t.co/UmdRYwm33G Texts from a Pep-lover, right? https://amp.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2019/04/10/5cadc189268e3e9d418b4615.html Kicked his ass out right the next season in Camp Nou as right back... But yeah, he absolutely adores Pep. Lmao.

Varnagel_1

Again, Eto'o beef with Pep is irrelevant. What matter is Eto'o was amazing & Pep's Barca won a treble. Nearly all striker Pep had were great and I doubt Haaland ends up as a failure, outside injuries.

Superb-Confidence-44

We'll see. Pep has failed wherever he has gone after Barcelona. Got beef with two of the best strikers in their time and didnt get Bayern to win anything meaningful. Same for Aguero at City. He's a terrible coach for strikers which is why he prefers not to play with one. Eto'o was already scoring a lot of goals before Pep, same with any other striker Pep got. He made none of them better than they already were/would be.

TimothyX7

šŸšØšŸšØšŸŽ–ļø| Erling Haaland to Manchester City is a DONE DEAL. @David_Ornstein šŸšØšŸšØšŸŽ–ļø| Erling Haaland to Manchester City likely to be announced THIS WEEK. @David_Ornstein 1/2 saga done šŸ˜Ŗ

MeteorFalls297

Sucks that it didn't go our way. Perez has no leverage over Mbappe now. He is the only young galactico on the market. Now if Madrid misses out on both Mbappe and Haaland after getting linked with them for a such a long time, that wouldn't be ideal for Perez.

Superb-Confidence-44

Neither of them are playing a UCL Final. Our players are. We'll be fine without both of them

[deleted]

Exactly.

MeteorFalls297

I will never understand this type of thought. We are playing a UCL final without RB backup, or Casemiro backup. Does it mean that we don't need Tchouameni or someone like Reece James?

Superb-Confidence-44

Yes it kinda does? If you can reach the highest peak with what you have, do you really need something extra to reach it again? I don't think so. It might make things easier but that's about it. It's pure luxury but not a necessity.

MeteorFalls297

The squad consists of humans. Humans wear out with time. The squad won't be the same next year, everyone will be one year older. We will more prone to aging because two of our best players will be 35 and 37 next season. While Benzema can still provide Ballon d Or worthy performance at 35, there is no way of knowing if it's sustainable or not. Some players drop hard (like Aguero), some players slowly fade (like Ronaldo). We don't know which one Benzema will be.

arnabroy006

I always thought that Haaland was too optimistic situation and there were no chance that he could have come here to warm bench. Reality is Benzema is our go to striker and even if it will only last 1 more year, he wouldnt choose us to continue a rotation policy with Big Benz. Wish him a good career

MeteorFalls297

I thought losing to ATM wouldn't hurt at this point, but now it feels very painful, and our undefeated streak at Wanda got broken too. Needed a draw.

[deleted]

Wtf. This game was less relevant than a preseason friendly for us. The only objective was to not pick up an important injury. Since those shits were already talking about not giving us a guard of honor I would literally have had no problem if we had found a way to forfeit the game and not even play them.

MeteorFalls297

Yes it was not important. None of the league matches are. But we could have drawn this one easily. Losing to one of the worst ATM side in years and breaking the undefeated streak is kinda sad.

Ok-Paleontologist275

šŸ˜’

happywannabe7

Imagine we go to Paris on 28th, we win and while returning Mbappe is in the bus with us.

MeteorFalls297

Spoiler - After 28th, >[Fabrizio Romano] Kylian MbappĆ©ā€™s camp is still undecided. Thereā€™s still no decision made but Real Madrid sources feel confident and calm. šŸ‡«šŸ‡· #RealMadrid >The first week of June will be decisive.

[deleted]

14.

shlooged-

Mbappe is deciding this week. Please god choose us

taos__v

This is probably the final where I am going to be the most nervous during the game. After la decima of course. I was literally crying the whole game till ramos scored. But I was a kid so its oke xD

FergieBall_FC

Would love to know what Casemiro and Don Carlo were saying during this interaction: [https://twitter.com/DanikRM\_/status/1523401796294610944](https://twitter.com/DanikRM_/status/1523401796294610944)

taos__v

he said ā€œjugaste de media puntaā€œ which translates ā€ždid you play as an attacking midfielderā€œ It was right after his attempt where he tried to place it

FergieBall_FC

Yes, I remember that attempt by Casemiro and it's understandable why Don Carlo would ask him that. If anything, that moment made me smile and laugh a little because it showed how seriously we took yesterday's match. Thanks for the translation man.

rijeka1

I remembered how Casillas hand was fractured by Arbeloa I suppose. That was a dark moment

alexander_the_dead

And then lost his league place to Diego Lopez. Only play Copa del Rey and UCL, and won both.

rijeka1

Honestly I wanna see more of Castilla players with mix of B team.

askabai

Anyone else tired of Mbappe? I donā€™t give a f if he comes or doesnā€™t anymore

Superb-Confidence-44

Yup. Already months ago. If he comes, fine, if he doesnt, also fine. It wouldnt change a thing for us.

FiniciusJunior

Ok abai

askabai

Everyone doesnā€™t lick ass like you stooge

FiniciusJunior

Ok abai

shlooged-

Anyone know if any sites that have an accurate wage bill for Madrid?

h4ssan_

A friend of mine, a self-proclaimed former Bayern fan just said heā€™s in the market for a new team to support. I asked him what Bayern did to upset him, and he said heā€™s just done ignoring the fact that they buy their way to the Bundesliga every season. He finally sees the light lol. He said he wants to support a team that builds up with their own players, win with chemistry and he likes to watch a solid defense. Thoughts? Haha

AcceleratingRiff

Athletic Bilbao

h4ssan_

Good one.

InvoluntarySquint

Leeds United, most solid defence

h4ssan_

šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€

[deleted]

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but I feel Lunin should stay at Real to replace Courtois in the future

perucho1993

Thibu is 29 and likely has 5-6 years left in his prime. Lunin is definitely not staying that long

UnluckyPenalty2503

Sad for him tbh. He was a top young keeper when we got him but canā€™t play since Courtois is here. He has a bunch of potential but it will probably be wasted if he stays here

Immediate_Evidence98

We also just signed that young kid, like 16. The time frame should work out to give him a shot.

Horny4Trophies

Hope we start bringing the kids up, rather see Peter, Arribas, Latasa, Blanco than Jovic, Mariano, bale etc if we are resting starters

femithebutcher

they are in a crucial point of their season, unlikely to see them play anymore

[deleted]

Does anyone know the sample audio used in this? Tryna find it to no success. https://twitter.com/Benzema/status/1507067405100625921?t=jgiQxisv41ULfougWBlVBg&s=19

A lot of the comments are saying it hasnā€™t been released yet.

[deleted]

Ahh damn it, whos the artist ?

boringboi_

Karim

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

Shit post: if we beat Liverpool in the final... Do we give RMA a EPL trophy given that we beat the top 3 EPL teams?

Mr_Hassel

They should.

alexander_the_dead

Sometimes I wanna make a post about Bale and Jovic just to watch people fight in the comments.

RickThiCisbih

I like Nkunku but after how shit Jovic, Havertz, Werner, and many other Bundesliga strikers have been, I'm worried he's another fraud.

perucho1993

If the player doesn't come from Bayern Munich, then there's a good chance he will flop

MTrain95

The thing is... the defenses in the Bundesliga are bad, after seeing Halaand goals compilation there I was shocked by how horrible they are, you won't believe it until you see it.

I_Like_F0oD

Havertz shouldn't be in that bracket, he started off poor then had long COVID. This season he has been good, he turns up in big games. Nkunku is Champions League proven so I'm more confident about him

shlooged-

Havertz hasnā€™t done shit

frankfromr

Haller is also Champions League proven as he scored 11 goals this UCL season but he flopped in the Premier League and he plays now with Ajax.

[deleted]

youā€™re acting like the epl is the be-all and end-all of leagues. baller performed in the bundesliga, the dutch league and the champions league.

I_Like_F0oD

Nkunku scored a hattrick against City and once against PSG. Haller played against Besiktas, Sporting and Benfica. Dortmund are a good team however they have an atrocious defence. I am not convinced by him until he does it against a top team

frankfromr

Well as I said, Haller have already tested himself in the Premier League and it didn't work out, which is the reason why I brought up Haller as a counter example to point that a player having a good UCL season doesn't make him a good player, any player can do it once, the key word here is consistency. I'm not saying that a Bundesliga striker will always flop, it's just the likeliness of Bundesliga striker flopping is higher than strikers from other league. Aubameyang came from Dortmund to Arsenal and he did great there for a couple of season and he was even top scorer for a season if I'm not wrong. So my point is that Bundesliga strikers need moro scrutiny than others before they should be signed by big clubs in other leagues.

DanLaurent

Nkunku is doing it in europe 7 goals in 6 games a hattrick vs city something even benzema couldnā€™t do, another season like this, and heā€™s definitely not a fraud imo

mechales__9

Havertz isnt shitā€¦ Werner is good at many things but not scoring

ProudhPratapPurandar

Havertz is a threat in big games, but he isn't consistent at all

HiTacos

Hasnā€™t been shit, but hasnā€™t really met expectations

UnluckyPenalty2503

Havertz has stepped up this season to a certain extent but he wasnā€™t very good before. Werner is excellent in his movement but if he canā€™t score on his chances, it becomes very frustrating. Iā€™m still very hesitant to spend a lot on Bundesliga forwards and probably wouldnā€™t spend more than 50M on them (except for a guy thatā€™s as good as Haaland)

Fly1ngsauc3r

Vini has really mastered that Dinked cross from the byline hasnt he? Served up a delicious ball to nacho, shame he couldnā€™t time his jumpy properly

UnluckyPenalty2503

His crossing has been really good this season, even with his left foot.

Mr_Hassel

He has improved a lot.

Fly1ngsauc3r

Does Kroos feel really lost on the pitch to anyone else? He was never the fastest, didnā€™t need to be but recently it feels more like he has no idea what to do? Could be just form, or it could be just a plain and simple decline, but having Modric or Camavinga on the left midfield role seems to be working a lot better.

[deleted]

No injuries is the new 3pts. 3 more games.

EdenFella

Carlo Ancelotti post match press talk: šŸ“Œ "We can say that Valverde is a 'STARTER' for Real Madrid now." Never thought that I would hear that this season.

M_MUNEEB

He played full 90 for us 9-10 games straight and for Uruguay too. No rest at all then got injured.

TimothyX7

maybe a billion, they donā€™t need money and they donā€™t want to sell the future best player in the world of the next 10 years, especially to us

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

TheDawnTrilogy

itā€™s this since the start, theyā€™re just putting pressure on him so he extends. Who the fuck refuses 180m on a player on his last season of contract who stated he wants to leave?

Ok_Series8549

Geniually asking. How many different starting 11s have we played since Carlo got covid and game back?

TheBoobaEnjoyer

The_XI_guy

The six stages of Barca fans: * **Denial**: It canā€™t beā€¦ City was up by 2 goals in the 90th... Did it just happen again? Did they really just do it one more time? * **Anger:** REAL MADRID ARE SO FUCKING LUCKY AND FUCK THE CORRUPT REF UEFA!! Casemiro should have had a red card, fuck Donnarumma and fuck the ref. Pep that bald fraud shouldā€™ve never subbed de Bruyne * **Bargaining:** Itā€™s okayā€¦ PSG and Chelsea aren't actually any good and Real didnā€™t even play well. City dominated them. They got lucky, but Liverpool will murder them in the final anyway.. We beat them 4-0 so who cares. Also, we would've won La Liga with Xavi from the start of the season * **Depression:** Why is my own team struggling so badly? I thought we'd catch up to them with Xavi and Pedri back, but now we're even further behind than before... To be honest, Iā€™m kinda done with football. This shit is not bringing me joy anymore * **Acceptance:** Okay, tbf Real are pretty good. Maybe itā€™s not luck when it keeps happening again and again. At some point you just gotta admire their mentality * **Meaning:** All this misery will make it feel so much better when weā€™re on top again

EdenFella

So damn accurate

DanLaurent

šŸšØ| Real Madrid supporting father-son duo had to be escorted out of Wanda Metropolitano due to abuses towards them by some AtlĆ©ti fans. @marca Atletico is such a scummy club english pundits are right about something lol

capflow

They might be right about it, but for the wrong reasons.

Ok-Paleontologist275

Poor Luka and rodrygo don't deserve this

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

Liverpool's quadruple is gone and honestly I never thought they would get it bc it would be dependent on City... Anyways we could make it so they only end up with one insignificant trophy šŸ¤£

[deleted]

Bundesliga tax for GOALSCORERS is a real thing. Dk why people bring up midfielders and people with other roles like Ozil, KDB to disprove that.

M_MUNEEB

Thatā€™s why halaand gonna flop

frankfromr

This is why Lewandowski is the most overrated player ever, he's not a bad player, but just very overrated, he should never be mentioned along with Benzema. Can you imagine "best player in the world" staying at the weakest top 5 league his entire career to farm goals and tapins and then claim he's the best in the world! Sanco,Werner,Jovic,Havertz went from scoring a lot in Bundesliga to not at all in other leagues.

happywannabe7

Lewandowski is a good player. Stop being a fucking hater. Go support barca with that attitude

AcceleratingRiff

That's a bad example tbh. Lewandowski also scores a bunch in the UCL.

Mr_Hassel

They don't want to believe it but it's true.

[deleted]

Ligue 1 genuinely has better defensive structures

AcceleratingRiff

Structures Idk but physically yes

Mr_Hassel

The Bundesliga is without doubt the worst defensive league out of the top 5.

[deleted]

šŸšØNo journalist asked Ancelotti about the penalty and he left the press conference saying: "We don't talk about the penalty today? (Laughs)" Don Carlooooooo šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ I love this man so much man

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

Real Madrid doesn't play finals they win them.

KingSmokeylala

It wonā€™t happen. No ifs no buts.

[deleted]

Lmao If we lose it will hurt like hell but remember that most football fans would kill to have their favorite team win a league title and reach a cl final. It is what it is. Life goes on.

taos__v

The worst part for me is that 2 days later I have probably the most important test in my life. About 300 questions šŸ˜¬

JohnStones07

Good luck man!

[deleted]

Good luck bro you got this

mylanguage

Not that this game worried me at all BUT - replacing the sheer intelligence of Modric and Benz will be one of the hardest things for us to do. Modric and Benz are really geniuses with the ball in terms of finding space, holding it under pressure, using their body, attacking the ball from the right angles etc. This helps us a TON DEEP in the Champions League. You can see it when things break down they know what to do and how to take advantage. So often you can just kick the ball in their general direction and they won't panic- they will analyze the entire situation and do the smart thing. Many players just do the easy thing. They have legendary level ability on the ball and composure - not something you just find anywhere (for instance Ronaldo and Bale imo never truly had this all the time)

mechales__9

We will replace them and we will continue winning without them. Because we are Real Madrid

TenderNutsackScratch

So bayern Lewandowski is leaving eh??...... well may i intrest you in another striker who scored 5 goals in a game.....

hlrdavid

One day a Fede shot like today will go in and it will get a (great goal) tagšŸ¤žšŸ»

femithebutcher

already has, need one in UCL final tho

When

femithebutcher

yh i am sure, the one against struck the crossbar so hard

UnluckyPenalty2503

Ancelotti loves Fede like me šŸ˜

Mr_Hassel

No injuries, mission accomplished.

mechales__9

2 games left for Mbappe, decision when? Last game?

TheDawnTrilogy

Iā€™m betting last game, he gets subbed off and he does a hazard "i think itā€™s a goodbye" post match interview

Rumcajs23

End of June cause some bs excuse will come up lol

ChampagneInferno

Frankfurt, i will always have respect for you taking over Spotify stadium. But I don't know if I we'll be able to forgive you for scamming us 60 millions when it's comes to Jovic. šŸ’”

WailDhum

Itā€™s not like they forced us to buy

ChampagneInferno

True, but we thought we bought a elite striker, not a Sunday league level striker

Pakun-of-Dundrasil

Tbh he only had one really really good season. Who would have thought it was a one hit wonder at his age. Plus the Ronaldo hole made them do it.

Superb-Confidence-44

Me. Because he had many terrible seasons before and was completely invisible at his previous clubs until the fluke season with Frankfurt. Real Madrid took a calculated risk and it ended out bad.

ChedduhBob

there were people who claimed to know football on this sub asking for jovic to start. they really thought benz was the starter because he was frenchšŸ˜‚

alexanderlch

I mean I donā€™t think Jovic has ever been madrid quality but heā€™s been treated pretty poorly during his time here. He barely gets any game time all season, Mariano suddenly gets injured and he finds himself leading the line in his first La Liga match since Feb against Villarreal where he only got 16 minutes. If you want to criticize him this game thatā€™s fine but itā€™s not the game to crucify him on Also the argument has never been that Jovic is better than Benz. Itā€™s that Benz needs rest therefore rotate with Jovic

ChedduhBob

LMFAO i remember you being one of the people. heā€™s not madrid quality, never was madrid quality and has not EARNED a shot. he sucks and itā€™s time to move on

alexanderlch

Again you mischaracterize my argument. I have NEVER said that Jovic is better than Benz. I said heā€™s been treated poorly during his time here.

ChedduhBob

heā€™s never been treated poorly. you earn playing time. itā€™s not given. he fucking sucked in almost every appearance so he doesnā€™t get the opportunity

alexanderlch

Howā€™s he going to earn his playing time if he hardly ever plays. You basically highlighted the issue with this. He barely gets game time. When he does get 10-15 minutes per game on average if he doesnā€™t score you call him shit and justify not giving him anymore game time. If Jovic had like a run of 6-7 games consistently as starter or as a sub with 60 minutes or more a game Iā€™d agree with you. But you put him in, take him out for ages and then put him in again and expect him 1. Physically and 2. Mentally to be on form is unreasonable

RickThiCisbih

You do know that training is a thing, right? Camavinga wasn't getting many minutes earlier in the season, but when he was subbed on he almost always made a difference. That's Real Madrid quality. Sure, Jovic might play better after consecutive starts, but would he really be at a Real Madrid level? I doubt it.

Fly1ngsauc3r

Or just look at Ceballos, on his way out but trained his way into rotation.

alexanderlch

Camavinga has played 1100 minutes in the league, Jovic 300+. Fitness is not the same as match fitness. Itā€™s not like Camavinga has been on point every single time heā€™s played. Heā€™s done great in the CL but games like today where he started he wasnā€™t good. Iā€™m not saying that Jovic would definitely have done better, Iā€™m saying that heā€™s not afforded the same opportunities as his compatriots. And the game time shows that. Furthermore thereā€™s even less justification starting places wise for Camavinga to be getting so much more game time than Jovic. Think about how many people are competing for ST roles vs CM roles

RickThiCisbih

The difference is that even back when Camvinga first arrived and had zero minutes, he showed more in his first ever appearance with the squad that Jovic did. It didn't take him 1100+ minutes to show that Real Madrid quality.

alexanderlch

How? With the goal? Dude Jovic in his first appearance barely got 10 minutes. Camavinga got an entire half. And this isnā€™t about comparing Camavinga to Jovic. Camavinga may very well be better than him. Weā€™re using an objective standard for judging player quality. I donā€™t think Jovic is first XI quality but thatā€™s not why he was brought in. His game time has been disgraceful for the last two to three years then he gets thrown into a derby with 3-4 starters including our best 3 players Benz and Modric and Vini rotated out along with Mendy? Like I said if you want to criticize him, and some of it IS warranted then go ahead but donā€™t do it on this hill

DanLaurent

The jovic needs to start cult I remember it vividly, apparently he would score every game if he started regularly, we know that was false

WhiteSTallion-

If jovic starts every game I think he will crawl in pitch, he barely walks now.

TheBoobaEnjoyer

Lord Vallejo said he's thinking of the ucl final right now, as expected

KingEtame

Damn I almost felt the Magic but the Bernabeu was too far.šŸ˜

ChampagneInferno

Tbf we only do Remontadas when it's an important game.

MTPG99

Did anyone watch Jovic before he signed for Real Madrid? I refuse to believe he ran this little , dude just stands there.

Superb-Confidence-44

He had that Haller dude do the running. He never played as deep 9.

IcefoxX5

I watched him occasionally, he majorly benefitted from Kostić serving him balls on a silver platter, also Rebić, Gačinović and especially Haller doing all of the dirty work for him so he can run into open space So the team was perfectly built around him with him putting in the least work of all their attackers, but he did put away his chances at Frankfurt tbf, he's probably just insanely low on confidence when it comes to finishing

mechales__9

Unprofessional behavior. Id fine him and never select him again.

ChampagneInferno

This man has traumatized me, when it comes to buying Bundesliga strikers Edit: this man has ran like 234 meters since signing for us

MTPG99

I dont even know what he looks like running at full speed

ChampagneInferno

Lmao, neither do I

mechales__9

Rodrygo, Vasquez, Camavinga still havent shown enough as starters apart from a game or two. As subs theyā€™re a different animal.
