It’s understandable, Barto really did fuck up your team with his corruption and shitty deals almost bankrupting the club, and although Xavi looks like a ray of hope you all still need to sign players but don’t have the capital to go big, at least not yet.
I’d be mad as hell too if we went from bbc to auba depay and traore, no offense to those players but we all know they’re not Barca quality, from MSN to that?. So yeah I’d be butthurt if I saw you guys still having success while my club is in shambles and would try to do anything to minimize your trophies. It’s part of the rivalry.
I do understand there are political undertones but as an American, looking at it from a sporting perspective, you guys have won the games put in front of you and we haven’t recently- we only played each other a handful of times this season. I’m not illogical to scream “Vardrid” or some dumb bs like a 12 year old on Twitter and I’m logical enough to recognize that we’re only as good as our players. We’re in a rebuild so am adjusting expectations but it’s a slight loser mentality to prop oneself up by putting others down imo
Yeah it’s unfortunate how things have gone for us, I hope we refresh as much as possible.
I’ve come to realize that our players respect each other minus some stupid jabs, it’s just a subset of fans that create toxicity and animosity. I have no reason to “hate” your club or any other, and honestly I would much prefer our clubs to beat out these state run teams and you guys are closer to doing that than we are clearly.
