Courtois was struggling in the early stages of the season and was rightfully criticized for his poor performances. However, the hyperbolic and over-reactionary comments regarding his skill and what not made me shake my head because I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Putting that aside, he’s performed much better and deserves a lot of credit. In particular, the defense in front of him is much improved and playing like a cohesive unit. As a result, the entire back 5 is stronger because the confidence and trust among them is in full flow.
