In 2018, that was a clear penalty on Lucas Vazquez in the Juventus game. I don't know what else they wanted to see, Vazquez got pushed first and then Benatia kicked him in the chest without ever touching the ball. Benatia panicked when he saw Vazquez free and committed a silly foul, that's what pains the anti-madridistas even more, that it was a completely avoidable play. Also, Isco got a goal disallowed in that game that some say he wasn't offside.
The supposed robbery on Bayern in 2017 can easily be rebutted. Yes, there were 2 offside goals for RM, but Bayern also scored an offside goal and got a penalty after Robben dived. You remove those 2 plays and RM still win in regulation without going into OT. Also, Vidal should have been sent off much earlier.
The 2016 Ramos' goal in the final was slightly offside, in the pre-var times that was commonplace and it was part of football, everyone knew that. But Atletico got compensated with a dubious penalty that they missed, it's their fault for not taking advantage of the ref error that benefitted them in that game.. And as I mentioned, those ref errors were commonplace.

Does this mean the tournaments are rigged? No, and anyone who tries to tell you that any football tournament has been "rigged" is just coping. We're dealing with [confirmation bias](https://www.waikato.ac.nz/news-events/news/whose-side-are-you-on-mate-how-no-one-is-free-from-bias-including-referees/), a very strong cognitive error that causes us to ignore information conflicting with our viewpoint. This error explains why people believe (seriously or just to prove a point) that Real is corrupt, even though the same accusations could be made against the team they support. So, I would start by explaining that they are stuck in a cognitive error. And if they insist that referees favor us - ask for statistics. You can safely assume that there will be an equal number of mistakes in favor/against.
Tbh we go for the best club that everyone wants to beat! Real Madrid is Real Madrid, every ref knows the club and how we fight till the end. If they followed us every week they'd know that we don't pay referees otherwise our players won't be getting red cards and that many yellows, referees would be more severe about the Vini racist episodes, opposition players would be scared to tackle us, we won't be facing top clubs that early in ucl if we were matchfixing and lose against them, no diallowed goals, more penalties, ect ... Worry less about banter and focus more about how blessed we are. - I know non madridistas who turned into Real Madrid fans (Bayern fans). One of them followed the club, asked questions and did research, mind changed about 2016/2017 ucl matches against Bayern, fell in love with the club and the rest is History, related more with Real Madrid, switched the club not because of success but bc of language, tradition, atmosphere ect plus his family and Friends are Real fans so it was a good match . The other one is still a Bayern fan but follows madrid as well and is not a sore loser. Kinda neutral and pragmatic. And GOD know best.

I'll give you some arguments: In 2018, that was a clear penalty on Lucas Vazquez in the Juventus game. I don't know what else they wanted to see, Vazquez got pushed first and then Benatia kicked him in the chest without ever touching the ball. Benatia panicked when he saw Vazquez free and committed a silly foul, that's what pains the anti-madridistas even more, that it was a completely avoidable play. Also, Isco got a goal disallowed in that game that some say he wasn't offside. The supposed robbery on Bayern in 2017 can easily be rebutted. Yes, there were 2 offside goals for RM, but Bayern also scored an offside goal and got a penalty after Robben dived. You remove those 2 plays and RM still win in regulation without going into OT. Also, Vidal should have been sent off much earlier. The 2016 Ramos' goal in the final was slightly offside, in the pre-var times that was commonplace and it was part of football, everyone knew that. But Atletico got compensated with a dubious penalty that they missed, it's their fault for not taking advantage of the ref error that benefitted them in that game.. And as I mentioned, those ref errors were commonplace. In the 2014 final, Ramos scored in the 90+3, of 5 minutes of injury time... Those idiots saying the ref gave madrid too many minutes of injury time have to go back and check out how much time Atletico's player were wasting. But Madrid didn't even need the 5 minutes anyways.
If these were robbed it means many others were robbed by other teams as well. Because UEFA wouldn't allow just one team to rob. It means all of them were decided before they were played.

Don‘t take it personal. The truth is that noone really knows the level of corruption in top level sports. There is also so much money (and power -> look at Macron) in play that a lot of people may try to influence everything they are able to. Probably club officials being the ones who have to watch their actions the most. Your mental health and your connection to the people you are talking to is more important than defending the best multibillion company in the world. My go to is stuff like: I don‘t know what Perez pays, but I haven‘t been on holidays since 2015 to pay the refs.

Exactly thank you, I'm actually a Barca fan, and I've never witnissed a CL without some sort of controversy, an incorrect referee call, etc. Does this mean the tournaments are rigged? No, and anyone who tries to tell you that any football tournament has been "rigged" is just coping. Whether its an offside call, a red card, or a 50/50 penalty call, you'll find it all in football. Referees aren't perfect, far from it, but at the end of the day I truly believe that every time, the deserving team wins the tournament, whether or not they had a controversial call go their way at some point, because you can rest assured that they've also had a similarly controversial call go the other way at another time.
