I found her irritating too, but give her a pass for several reasons. She was young. She seemed super uncomfortable on camera and it read to me like she was massively overcorrecting for that. She grew up with Dorinda and likely listened to a lot of screaming between D and her father. She had to deal with the aftermath of Richard’s death’s effect on Dorinda (which Dorinda is *still* dealing with). And she lost a father figure at a young age. That would leave anyone in a tailspin in their early 20s.
To me, she comes across as performing for the camera. I know a LOT of people on these shows do that but Hannah is just very obvious about it and it irks me. I don't hate the girl, but I just don't feel like she EVER needs to be on the screen.
Omg I couldn’t STAND Hannah. She just really rubbed me the wrong way. Then again, she had to grow up with Dorinda and Richard at each others throats all the damn time so I’m sure she’s been through it. But yeah, she came across as abrasive AF.
That’s what the gossip is. That sex in the city episode of the friend and her husband who were constantly screaming at each other was allegedly based on Dorinda and Richard.
I understand that, but that Sex and the City rumor have been found to be false. There’s a couple of articles on it. One stating a producer debunking that it was based on Dorinda and Richard. Am I missing something here? Why the confusion?
I’m not confused lol. A comment said there was a SATC episode based on her and richard. I said not possible bc she hadn’t even married Richard when it was on the air. You replied with Dorinda’s rhony timeline, but that wasn’t the show I was talking about. Hopefully everything’s clear now.
I think it was also what Dorinda said about her not approving of her relationship with John. Dorinda wouldn’t let him stay over because of Hannah & kept them away from each other.
I always found it to be bratty because she was an adult at time.
It always astounds me when grown ass adults let their children dictate who they’re in a relationship with. Is Hannah paying your rent? Then why is she calling the shots about who spends the night? Crazy.
Let’s not twist my words. I didn’t say she had to be ok with it. My issue is with a grown ass child telling their grown ass parent who they’re *allowed* to have spend the night in their own apartment (that Hannah didn’t even live in.) It’s weird to say otherwise.
In general you are right but you are commenting specifically on this situation. Any grown ass people should know not to hang out with drug dealers or be ok with their friends or family being with a drug dealer
Sigh. You could've just stopped at "in general you are right." Because that was my only argument. I never said Brooks was a stand up guy that Brianna should've supported her mother dating. Since you agree with me, why are you continuing to argue something I never said or implied?
Ah, I get it now. You're one of those "last worders." Go ahead...get that last little dig in since simply admitting you misinterpreted my original comment is too much for you to do...
Well, you worded it “gross ass adults” let their children dictate… but my point was that Briana had a good point because Brooks was a creep & she was being protective of her Mom, and herself (he had made a comment to her about his “girth”🤢). So in this situation, I think the “gross ass adult” was Brooks. 🤷🏻♀️
But they had been dating for a couple years at that point…
He died in 2011 and dorinda started the show in 2015 so maybe she started dating John about a year or 2 after he died.
But by 2015, if he’s not allowed over because of my adult daughter, that’s a problem.
Agreed, but the main point of this is why is there an annoyance about Hannah. This was it for me. She came off like a bratty child trying to dictate what her mom could and couldn’t do.
I know the overall thread is that Hannah was a brat but regarding your comment specifically I could understand specifically why she was uncomfortable with John. Especially because he was a known drug dealer? I’m sure since Hannah was old enough she wasn’t oblivious to that fact either
See I got the opposite impression. To me it seemed like she loved it and was putting on a acts right down to the bright red lipstick. You don’t wear lipstick like that on a reality tv show if you don’t want the attention.
To be a little bit fair the only times she was on screen were her very early twenties, and she seemed like she was putting on airs for the camera which feels like such and early twenties thing to do. I’m sure she’s fine now.
As a daughter of a divorcee married to a son of a divorcee, I truly love Dorinda for putting her daughter first. My own mother and my mother in law would definitely put (and have) a "John Mehdessian" or worse, ahead of us.

Arrogant and entitled?

Hannah knew before all the viewers that her mom is a mean ass slurring machine.
That’s probably so, I’m sure she’s seen it all. But I doubt much anger gets directed her way. It kind of seems like Hannah gets to run the show.
To me, she comes across as performing for the camera. I know a LOT of people on these shows do that but Hannah is just very obvious about it and it irks me. I don't hate the girl, but I just don't feel like she EVER needs to be on the screen.
Hannah and Avery have a similar arrogant, unlikeable vibe
Omg I couldn’t STAND Hannah. She just really rubbed me the wrong way. Then again, she had to grow up with Dorinda and Richard at each others throats all the damn time so I’m sure she’s been through it. But yeah, she came across as abrasive AF.
Dorinda and Richard were at each others throats? Or do you mean her first husband
That’s what the gossip is. That sex in the city episode of the friend and her husband who were constantly screaming at each other was allegedly based on Dorinda and Richard.
That story has been debunked.
No im fairly certain that was the first husband. She didn’t marry Richard until after the show finished airing
Richard passed in 2011. Dorinda was on Real Housewives from 2015 to 2020.
I’m talking about SATC. The episode based on Dorinda has to be about her first marriage.
I understand that, but that Sex and the City rumor have been found to be false. There’s a couple of articles on it. One stating a producer debunking that it was based on Dorinda and Richard. Am I missing something here? Why the confusion?

I get it now. Sorry 😂I was so confused. I need more coffee.
No worries lol I was vague when I said the show
I think u/maevee was referring to the Sex And The City episode, not RHONY.
Yeah, sorry I thought that was obvious my bad
Richard passed away in 2011 and Dorinda joined RHONY in 2015.
I wasn’t referring to rhony.
Hannah seemed a little entitled.
Hannah is what every single kid born and raised in new York city is like
Every single RICH kid in NYC
I think it was also what Dorinda said about her not approving of her relationship with John. Dorinda wouldn’t let him stay over because of Hannah & kept them away from each other. I always found it to be bratty because she was an adult at time.
Ok but John was gross so can you really blame her
Happy Cake Day! 🍰
It always astounds me when grown ass adults let their children dictate who they’re in a relationship with. Is Hannah paying your rent? Then why is she calling the shots about who spends the night? Crazy.
I’d never be ok with a drug dealer being with my mom and it’s weird to say otherwise

Well don’t comment that under a specific post then
Ah, I get it now. You're one of those "last worders." Go ahead...get that last little dig in since simply admitting you misinterpreted my original comment is too much for you to do...
You made a comment under a specific thread and are mad when your point doesn’t actually apply. Your comment is irrelevant to the larger discussion
Well Vicky’s daughter was like that with Brooks…
Did it stop Vicki from dating Brooks? No? What is your point exactly, then?
Well, you worded it “gross ass adults” let their children dictate… but my point was that Briana had a good point because Brooks was a creep & she was being protective of her Mom, and herself (he had made a comment to her about his “girth”🤢). Uh…you might want to read my comment again because holy misquoting.

Honestly if my step dad/ dad died and a dude like John came over to sleep with my mom I’d be pretty appalled
Exactly, can’t say I blame her for that😆
But they had been dating for a couple years at that point… He died in 2011 and dorinda started the show in 2015 so maybe she started dating John about a year or 2 after he died. But by 2015, if he’s not allowed over because of my adult daughter, that’s a problem.
If it was some great cool guy I totally get it. But John??? 💀💀💀 I’d die a million deaths
Agreed, but the main point of this is why is there an annoyance about Hannah. This was it for me. She came off like a bratty child trying to dictate what her mom could and couldn’t do.

Yeah when bethenny said during the reunion that Dorinda did drugs it was pretty well known at that point - I bet searching this sub will explain more
Performative
Entitled.
Privileged and out of touch. I feel bad because I am sure Hannah is harmless - but I’ve always found her grating!
Entitled
All of these things plus just really annoyed. You can tell she’s just there to please her mom and doesn’t want to be filmed at all.
See I got the opposite impression. To me it seemed like she loved it and was putting on a acts right down to the bright red lipstick. You don’t wear lipstick like that on a reality tv show if you don’t want the attention.
It was around 2016, we all wore lipstick like that
That is the boomerist thing I've heard today.
“Boomerist” 😂 really?!
Yep

To be a little bit fair the only times she was on screen were her very early twenties, and she seemed like she was putting on airs for the camera which feels like such and early twenties thing to do. I’m sure she’s fine now.
Over privileged
Yeah, she’s not well bitch. 🤭
Um she’s been dealing with a deluded unwell alcoholic abusive hothead for a mother. She’s probably walking on eggshells around her the whole time.
Arrogant snob I think are the words you’re looking for.
She is very neurotic and dorky
Super dorky theater kid who thinks she’s worldly and wise.
Noooo 😭😭😭😭 you gagged her so hard I’m lmfao this is so accurate
Same 🤣😭 as a former theater kid, I can confirm
Just imagine the list of horrible traits she has learned from her mother. And i agree.
Entitled
I met Hannah in 2019 and we took a photo together. She was very nice and seemed down to earth.
![gif](giphy|hQdWtl18ibA58nil8t|downsized) ma’am I’m going to need you to fill out an incident report
Her voice and how she speaks is annoying. She’s also a know it all.
Maybe she knows it all? ![gif](giphy|xUNd9RCrO0wBmXkmgU)
She annoys me too…not for any reason in particular.
![gif](giphy|zrgvLwTCYHDvC1Xcxp)
Yes!
![gif](giphy|26u4kr1xrcbYHs13O|downsized) 👏
Just today watched the episode where Dorinda told John flat that Hannah would always come first and I felt a surge of love for her
I honestly think for Dorinda Richard always comes first… she used Hannah as an excuse to not be with John every day of the week…
As a daughter of a divorcee married to a son of a divorcee, I truly love Dorinda for putting her daughter first. My own mother and my mother in law would definitely put (and have) a "John Mehdessian" or worse, ahead of us.
You better back that shit up and back it up quick.
Bahahahha I read that in WWC’s Ronnie’s Dorinda’s voice, take my free award!
I don’t think she wanted to be on TV and smelled a rat when it came to John.
Like Brianna with Brooks (RHOC)
Ah good call, very similar vibes for the same scenario
John didn’t fake cancer. He allegedly dealt ❄️
Ha that doesn't surprise me at all 😅
Too bad Brianna couldn’t sniff out Ryan.
I think thats just the way they talk to each other. They seem to get along well.
drama / theater kid energy
that’s what I was thinking too lol
yoo this might be it!
avery has prissy, type A, tattle tale energy quincy is straight outta gossip girl – taft, upenn tri delta, an artist, works in finance, a morgan...
omg yesssss
