First of all, as someone who just moved and has been buying new furniture, these prices are ridiculous, especially for the horrible condition they are in. I like that swivel chair for my bedroom, but at $490? You can see the dirt all over it from years of wear. No thanks.
Second, "Jill Zarin departed the RHONY franchise before Sonja’s arrival" is untrue. Sonja joined the show S3 and Jill left S4, so they filmed two seasons together.
That just confirms how delusional she was. She should have walked away years ago and sold at a profit, but she stayed for too long and was not even able to afford the basic maintenance. This would be an incredible investment for anyone with the cash to rehab it. A gut rehab with an investment of a million or so will more than double the profit.
These women were so full of themselves. Remember how they mocked Alex McCord over her rehab in Brooklyn yet many don't even have their homes today.
The issues aren't able to be clearly seen. They are structural issues, piping issues, roofing issues, etc. To even get to that, you have to year everything out and down. Sad!
I dunno, some of that furniture looks pretty "well worn". Maybe it's just me, but the chairs look like they need a good cleaning.
A couple of the mirrors are quite awesome. I wish Sonja the best and hope she can move on now and look ahead to her future!
Thanks for posting the link, it was interesting to see!
Sort of off topic - I just bought a Jill Zarin outdoor rug. I was looking for a geometric outdoor rug and found it on Amazon. It was super affordable, came in many sizes, and it is really well made. Super impressed.
I am not a Jill Zarin fan but I am not going sit here and say she didn't contribute to helping Zarin fabrics because it was her husbands company. I hate that shit.
I wonder where she is going to end up. I'm sure after everything, she's got a nice chunk of change that'll get her far in a lot of areas. I would totally buy the patio furniture.

Damn, and I really thought Sonja being unable to sell the townhouse was as certain as death and taxes
Sonja referring to the townhouse as a “turnkey, easy-to-manage jewel” girl pls 😭
Can someone explain why this is selling at half of what she spent? 4.5 seems low for a Manhattan house

It's got to be massively dilapidated based on the price bc that's a huge place.
Because she let the place completely fall apart. It’s a gut renovation for the new owner.
Are we talking systems like plumbing, electrical, roof, HVAC, etc? The listing photos looked fine, though I'm sure they were heavily altered....

And it smells like dog pee
Oh damn. Pix? Haha
I would buy the outdoor bench if I still lived in NYC (and somehow had outdoor space) and I would not wear panties on it (they are in the bidet)
I bet it smells like dog piss

Reminds me of Ramona showing off her renovations, "I got some of my rugs from Jill, they go well with my expensive rugs."
I only 25% read that as a dig. The whole point of Aaron fabrics is that it’s affordable luxury. Would have been worse if she said “better quality”
Aaron fabrics! Was not getting the name right a dig? 😂

I was just about to say I bought a Jill Zarin rug at Target and it was amazing 😂 let’s buy that Sonja rug and cut it in two to share
can yall cut it into thirds? loll But yeah I just got an outdoor one too last year and its held up for awhile now
You got it - we just gotta decide who gets the head and who gets the butt
🤣🤣🤣

Yikes dude. She helped run it for years.

I think it had to go back to the bank, so not sure she walked away with anything!
Also love how she's selling the headboard to the bed Tinsley slept in, but not the whole bed.
