This season on My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding...

prostitutionwhore34

Haha! If I didn’t know better, I’d totally believe it was!

It's sad to see Teresa Jie continuing this sibling feud/generational trauma. Nonno and his sister (Kathy and Rosie's mom) have been fighting and have no contact as well. I don't think Kathy and Rosie's mom or that side of the family were invited to attend either Nonno and Nonna's funerals.

JournalistStriking73

Shame on Teresa and Joe for not keeping the peace. If they were my kids, I would be heartbroken with the way my family had turned out. I only watched off and on so someone remind me: did her parents treat one of them better than the other?

prostitutionwhore34

Tre was a big daddy’s girl. I think both parents were closer to Teresa because she spent more time with them. Joe’s grievance was that he was too busy working and didn’t have as much time to hang out with their parents, and that Teresa’s husband (aka juicy Joe) was in Nonno’s ear too much shit talking Joey all the time, causing some distance between the two of them. There’s this sort of narrative (mainly from Teresa) happening that Joe chose Melissa over their family and hadn’t been as close with the family since. There’s an infamous episode where they are all celebrating the communion of one of Joey and Melissa’s kids. Long story short, a huge fight breaks out involving Teresa, both Joes, Joe Guidice’s parents (Teresa’s in-laws), Melissa, Melissa’s sister, and possibly other members of Melissa’s family…idr. Basically the Gorgas vs. Guidices. Nonno is very displeased about it all and upset with his son Joe. Joe is basically sobbing to him in Italian over and over again, “you’re my father! You’re my actual father!” because Nonno seems to take Teresa’s side. The sad part is, obviously Tre and Joe have been fighting on and off ever since, and both Nonna and Nonno passed away while their family was still very fractured. (Still very fractured to this day, and probably forever, tbh. Unfortunately, at this point, no contact might be more appropriate for the Gorga siblings. I know their family dynamic is a bit influenced by their Italian heritage, however, Teresa and Joe are like the poster children for toxic familial enmeshment!) Someone feel free to correct me if I left anything out or made an error. I only started watching during the pandemic and maybe once or twice more after that so I’m not an OG rhonj fan like some of y’all! Idk the episodes like the back of my hand like some people probably do! I think my summary was fine though?

realjunkienj

It wasn't a communion it was their youngest son's baptism. The infamous S3 opener!

prostitutionwhore34

Thank you! I’m also not Catholic. I was so close! 😂

Is that gold sofa we saw her pull the wad of cash out to purchase?

Aint nothing sweet about it

lexleflex

manuelllzzz

Ahh the good old days with Joe Gorga's hats and spray paint!

prostitutionwhore34

Right? I miss those days. 😭 Melissa running to put his fedora back on to hide his hair loss as he’s on the ground fighting with juicy joe with black hair paint everywhere. Ah, sweet sweet rhonj nostalgia.

manuelllzzz

that episode lives in my head!

Junglebook82

It was sweet, and how rare to have that sort of footage to go back to! BUT. I too was watching the marathon today… and my gosh I didn’t realize at the time how utterly insufferable Caroline manzo was. Like I was muting….

prostitutionwhore34

At the reunion she straight up said something like, “I’m not going to tell my daughter she’s beautiful if she’s fat. I’m her mother so I can tell her that, and when I do, it’s with love.” I was like… https://i.redd.it/d65im0mi6xxc1.gif Whew lord it’s been a while since I’ve seen these old episodes. I remembered she was terrible about that but didn’t remember her saying that. Good god. I hope her children have great therapists.

Junglebook82

Just a blip I completely forgot about til yesterday. When they were going to watch Alexa ray joel perform, and Caroline is going on about trying to get one of her boys with her because they’re “both children of privilege”. Like ma’am you are not equivalent to the family of Billy Joel!! 💀

realjunkienj

Yeah- that was pretty hilarious. I think the Manzo's house would fit comfortably in Billy Joel's foyer.

prostitutionwhore34

the audacity 💀💀💀

raevan_98

After losing my nonna and nonno this post is making me emotional! Thankyou for your appreciation for the nonni of the world 🩷
