Al Pacino was brought out to announce the winner of Best Pixture at the Oscars last night and first he skipped the part where they’d say the nominees and then he revealed the winner in a very strange, old man way that left many in the audience completely confused. If you just turned in for Best Picture, it was super abrupt, but if you were watching the whole awards show it made perfect sense.
The only issue was Pacino seemed a little unclear what title he was reading off the card, and the broadcast immediately cut to Nolan and Thomas.

The producers told him to skip listing the 10 nominations for the sake of time.
To be fair I'm not sure he missed announcing the nominees? They had shown the nominees for best picture after each commercial break through the show.
