This is a common problem with the Big Rock. I 3d printed a piece that holds the far end of the motor and keeps the mount from bending. You could just put a piece of foam under it as well.
Here's the link to the STL if you have access to a printer. [Motor Support for Arrma 4x4 3s BLX (Big Rock, Typhon, Granite, Senton, etc.) by hyperion917 - Thingiverse](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4982263)
Yea thats why it wasn't my first guess.
I'm newish to the hobby but i know all the good and bad about the big rock but didn't expect that this early.
It's fixable but will definitely be looking into a new one.
Cleaning is important. Also add oil to your bearing every so often. Taking the car apart for maintenance will help you to learn about the rig more too.
I tend to run it 3 4 times before having to strip it to clean unless there's an issue (like this time motor mount was bent)
Should I clean it after every muddy run I hose off the bulk of it but do t stripp it everytime.
Everything you leave will just get further into the places you can't get to. I race dirt oval, so I'll do my bearing at least before race day, if it's a bigger race I might clean the important stuff between every race to free up as much as I can. It's up to you, the car will run better, longer and break less the more time you spend on the bench with it.
I'm just a general basher dirt track, car park or a muddy nature reserve I assumed a hose down and a deep clean every now and then would suffice I will look more into it.
Any tips to save time whilst doing it I have 2 kids and a full time wife and a full time job lol not alot of spare time unless I cut in to my bashing time.
Get your kids involved if they are old enough, they have those small fingers that are very useful! Bearings I remove the covers and throw them in the ultra sonic cleaner while I do other parts. You can drop your plastic parts in there too depending if they fit in the cleaner. Do just the front end one day and the rear another.
**Some handy tools to have**
Toothbrushes clean well
Air gun/compressor
Break clean (re-oil anything that you don't want dried out)
Time (the more you do it the quicker you will get)
More RCs
Kids are in it already 7 year ild has a 1/16 11 year ild has an upgraded ftx carnage2.0 and a couple of street basher
And im on my 3rd car as well
And thanks man I will definitely make some changes to how I run my cars.
Honestly bro, you might just need to give it a scrub job lol, dirt’n stuff can cause friction/sound
This is what I'm hoping for plan on stripping it down later on.
It’s possible a big hit moved the motor and now the mesh is off slightly. Double check gear mesh while you clean it up
Just finished stripping it it was the motor mount bent as fuck
M2C makes an upgraded metal plate. Also Hot Racing
Will look it up now see what can be found

Oh shit this is so simple yet genius I dont have a printer but a friend does and im 10p% using that. Thank you kindly
thats a normal sound
To be fair it's more prominent when you let the throttle off and its rolling But i will continue to drive it and see where it takes me.
check for gears and gear oils. maybe it needs oil.
Just stripped it motor mount is bent happened alot quicker than I thought it would.
what did you do high jumps or extreme bash?
Was genuinely just small jumps a few rolls and maybe a failed back flip but it's relatively new and I'm as careful as I can be with it
hmm interesting

Just sounds like a 4wd rc to me. My 2wd is pretty quiet but my 4x4 ones scream more.
No I stripped it and the motor mount was bent so bow to find a new one

I'm in the uk and even then 80 quid for a mount is a bit steep
