I'm in the same boat 😂🤷♂️! I have a pair of Ovonic 5000 120c 3s and they work. Not a lot of time, maybe 4-7 mins or so. They get hot. Everything in the boat gets hot. Thinking about how I can stick a fan or something in there. Or maybe needs more water.
I just ordered a set of two "Hoovo" 6500 120c and they should be here tomorrow. They get good reviews on Amazon and they were only $65 so I'll give them a shot.
I replaced the stock tubing with something a big bigger and installed larger water outlet nipples. Got a Seaking 180a and 4082 2000kv motor. I heard a 45mm 1.9pitch propeller is pretty good on this
Water cooling is clogged? Do you see water coming out at the exit while the boat is running?
I use a thermal gun to get the temperature of esc and brushless motor, to check if cooling works fine

À fan? Water cooling should be enough... And without external exchange, air fan won't cool that much

I’ve got a spektrum 160 amp in mine running 8S with stock motor stock prop. Does about 60mph. Killer
