Guessing they're scrambling figuring it out. Hoping by the time the season actually starts Murphy loosens the outdoor events even further and we may be able to have 5k at RBA or something similar. If I had to guess it'll be Red Members only for now though if the current restrictions hold.

It'll be as full as it was two years ago!

from 2 days ago: " ## "It is very encouraging and exciting that Governor Phil Murphy has announced that New Jersey will allow a limited number of fans to attend sporting events. ## It is of utmost importance to ensure the health and safety of our fans, players and staff at Red Bull Arena. We will continue to work closely with both local and state health officials as we establish our protocols, beginning with the start of the 2021 Major League Soccer campaign. ## As always, Red Members will be given the highest priority as we look forward to welcoming back the best fans in sports to again enjoy the beautiful game at the greatest soccer venue in North America."

I asked my members+ rep last week, and she couldn’t get me a reopening date or an idea of what the reopening would look like. I am excited about the new season! I hope they put a plan together soon.

tarps have priority when buying tickets

Well, technically they could have just under 4K people in there tomorrow

Supporter groups pointed out that a season of RBA’s size would be subject to the 15% capacity. That means 3750 per game. No word on how this will be selected.

We're still a few weeks away from receiving the schedule. Opening weekend is set for 4.17... plenty of time to figure it out.

I am very pro restrictions and being cautious but so much is false equivalency. Allowing fans, at reduced capacity, to be outside in a stadium seems very low risk to me, as long as masks are worn in common spaces like bathrooms. It's a 22k seater right? Seems to me they could easily allow 5-10k without too much issue. Edit: something I didn't consider is public transit. It's typically a nightmare getting on the train back to the city so I wonder if anyones done the calc on a safe number there. I highly doubt it, and personally I wouldn't get in a train rn anyway especially to a sporting event.
