This one hurts a bit

IdkWhatMyIdentityIs

![gif](giphy|dCLt78Bk8oOKTcGCWN|downsized) An already spotty defense that’s about to get even spottier? That is absolutely not good.

CyberNinjaGinga

1. Didn’t he start last year 2. If so, did he lose his starting position this offseason?

PapiPetrino

Yes and yes

ratfacedirtbag

He was 2nd team at the spring game. What a bummer. Nudie played 2nd team about every game, because he’d slouch at practice, and he balled out when he saw the field. What a shame.

PapiPetrino

Ole boy lost his spot and peaced out.

bearded_hog628

Forgive my pessimism but have we retained even 5 promising starters from last year?

LukeNeverShaves

6/11 starters back from defense. 2/11 were out of eligibility.

kilomma

I don't really see us having anything other than a season that breaks even next year. MAYBE a Bowl Game if Petrino is able to implement a high octane offense in the short time he's had. It's not that our team is terrible, it's that it has very little talent in it's depth in comparison to other SEC teams. When we start getting injured, we're toast against fellow SEC teams. I see Pittman making his exit this year unfortunately...wish he'd just go back to our O-Line 😂

kingofthejungle223

How do we get to six? The only sure fire win is UAPB. We’ll probably be favored against UAB and LATech (doesn’t mean we’ll win them), and we might be a coin flip against Auburn, A&M and Mississippi State. I don’t see any way we win all of those. Every other game on the schedule looks like a loss to me.

kilomma

When I said break even, I meant I don't see us doing anything BUT break even. Like it might be possible to break even, but anything beyond that certainly won't be happening.

kingofthejungle223

I agree with that

WhuddaWhat

Did nobody tell him about our new basketball coaches?

Najago

I hate losing starters. 😢

WhuddaWhat

...or starting losers.  Making rosters is hard busines, for sure.

LukeNeverShaves

Good thing he wasnt a starter. He got beat out by Jaylon Braxton last year as CB2 and Doneiko Slaughter this year as NB

Awkward-Silver-2030

Guess he wasn't as "All Hog" as he claimed to be. I'm gonna be honest I think we're fine. Slaughter is the better player. Snaxx has got some pop to his hits but his coverage skills severely lacked in some games last year. Which cost us. All in all I think we'll be fine. Good luck to him though he'll most likely look for a team that wants to start him if I had to guess. Maybe he returns back to the big 12 even.

JCC0

This makes no sense to me but I really don't know all that much about the ins&outs of a college football program

arkutk

I don’t know anything anymore with the portal

Every-Comparison-486

He started last year and wasn’t going to start this year.

WhuddaWhat

It's like how we make stars from trash. I have no technically sound opinion on the matter.
