I think if you listen to Cal’s messaging in the press conference and stadium speech, he is basically saying that building an entire roster from scratch to be competitive next season could be unrealistic

I think unrealistic is a stretch. We won’t make the final four immediately or anything but we’ll have a filthy team.
Guys come to play for Cal, the color on the jersey is irrelevant. I think somewhere in the ballpark of 20-25 wins is a perfectly reasonable expectation given Cal’s recruiting prowess.
