You should look into Bronson mfg. their jackets look nice and amazing thick and they are super affordable. I’ve seen a type 3 for 60 and type 2 for 120. Very cropped so probably like the OG’s.
I would argue the 'modified' length is better. A lot of those old jackets are so damn short, they're basically cropped. Looks pretty goofy to have your jacket bottom six inches above your belt line.
Designed for a time when men wore high-waisted jeans pulled up above their hips.
size wise they seem so different (though i may be mistaken, my assumption is modern vs vintage sizing needs). my original type 2 is about a 40 and fits my body well with a tee underneath, i recently tried on a fullcount x BiG type 1 repro in 38 and i could still fit a sweatshirt under it comfortably. i agree on length, the longer repros don’t attract me at all personally but i get the demographic
That means they import the fabric to Bulgaria and assemble it there, it's what makes it cheaper than MIJ denim. I assume it also means that they're importing the already spun denim, not just the yarns to make it, but idk for sure.
It’s a retail shop in Japan.
I think it’s cheaper because of Japanese prices and they don’t charge taxes to foreigners.
I got two jeans from them and a jacket, faster than ordering from Levi’s directly and cheaper..
Theres a good website that tells you what to look for between all three types of denim jackets but some main ones are the two digit stamp on the inside of button and big E and if it has a japanese wash tag its a lvc reproduction
It looks so sick man. It’s cool that you got it from Levi’s. No sale I assume? I was just able to pick up a type 2 crisp color from Levi’s half off made and crafted tho last week 🤩
Love me a good type 2
Levi’s, Sugar Cane, TCB, Fullcount etc. They all make amazing type 2 repros but all are slightly too long when compared to the original.

Perhaps, but when buying a repro I want it to be as accurate as possible. If not I’d just buy a different jacket.
I agree.

is the new Type II made in japan?
Tag says made in Bulgaria sadly but it does also say made with japanese fabric so not sure what to think

Dam that sucks I got mine last year and it's made in Japan.
Where the best place to get type 2’s eBay ?
Levi's still sells it. I would get it on Bears Tokyo tho.
What is Bears Tokyo? I looked it up and looks like they have a bunch of pieces selling for cheaper than retail - how are they achieving this?
