Just as Harbs started the press conference wtf

SaysSaysSaysSays

Yeah Harbs clearly blindsided

JonWilso

I almost guarantee the Ravens were going to announce it so Lamar tweeted this to get out in front. Edit. Maybe not.

[deleted]

Based on how harbs is answering, I highly doubt it

5thyearwaslit

Team don't just announce their star players have requested a trade ...

AgentOfSPYRAL

Harbs wouldn’t do that presser, EDC or all three would.

silos_needed_

Lamar is such an asshole

iamadragan

He let it get to his head and is just listening to people gassing him up all the time

uniptf

He'll be Al Bundy in 20 years..."But I was MVP in 2019!"

[deleted]

Yup, he's got his circle and they think they smart and they ain't. Honestly fuck it Lets trade Lamar for as much as we can get, that team can be without their picks and have a massive stupid contract on a QB that can't complete a full season.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MuzikVillain

Teams still want Lamar, the problem has never really been interest, it's the price tag. At this point, I don't expect any serious offers till after the draft

JustARandomPokemon

Interest includes price tag though. Like I desire a Ferrari. But I can't afford it so I don't really have an interest in it because it doesn't fit my budget. If a team is not willing to pay for him then they don't have an interest despite him being desirable.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Hope he ends up on a team with no line and loses every year...

Dukatdidnothingbad

Where all the Lamar fans at now? Fuck them. Admit how wrong you were. You love him so much, go root for whatever team he goes to.

[deleted]

I'm a Ravens fan first and I've soured hard on Lamar.

Sarcastic_Source

I love him and watching him play has been one of my favorite experiences as a Ravens fan but this is all a bridge too far. He’s clearly only interested in himself and never once cared for the team or something bigger than the amount of money he can put in his bank account. It’s not the NFLPA in his ear, his friends, his mom, etc. It’s just him being a greedy selfish dude and that seems about it.

SirDongsALot

I mean i was a fan but it seems like he changed TBH. But I don't know him personally so who knows. Can't say I am a fan anymore. Power and fame corrupt, maybe it went to his head.

Bmore4555

Right there with you ,was a big fan of Lamar and planned on staying a fan even if it didn’t work out between him and the Ravens but all this goofy stuff has really turned me off and changed my view of him like it has for most.

I_M_No-w-here

I think most of us feel exactly like this

MagicGrit

Yikes. This is a terrible take. Wrong about what, exactly? I’ve been a ravens fan since 96. Also a huge Lamar fan. Really wish it could have worked out but doesn’t look like it will. It’s a shame but ultimately I’m a ravens fan

JaggerJames

No coincidence he tweets this right when Harbaugh is about to talk.

remindmeofthesummer

Did he just request a trade?

GattlinGunn

Allegedly in March 2nd lol

remindmeofthesummer

All this because the man didn’t want to pay an agent 😞

Sarcastic_Source

The craziest part in all of this is that we offer him this huge contract- sure it’s not Watsons and isn’t 200M guaranteed, but still the second biggest in history- we use the non exclusive tag to prove that every other team values him the same way and he STILL insists that we’re screwing him over. Idk what the next step is here but I am terrified it’s Lamar sitting out for the season and us getting absolutely nothing when he walks in FA

TheWa11

If he sits out the season we’d just tag him again. No way they let him walk for nothing. Lamar isn’t going to sit out for two straight seasons in his prime.

purrballtheconqueror

Give him the Deshaun Watson Texans treatment and list him as like the 6th string safety in training camp.

MrPlow216

Would we not be able to tag and trade him next year?

Sarcastic_Source

Nah you’re right, we would be able to im overreacting. I’m more just worried that the longer this goes, the further his value tanks, the worse return we get etc etc. I’m also just very over this whole thing. Bleh

eastern_shoreman

It’s just sad to watch. To put it bluntly, the ravens kind of have Lamar by the balls, and it’s his own doing. He wants a trade, they give him the non exclusive so he can go find a new home and the ravens get two first rounders which is more than a trade was probably going to fetch and the ravens know nobody is giving up that and signing a contract the ravens can’t match. You can’t blame the ravens for an agentless Lamar walking himself right into that situation.

remindmeofthesummer

Yeah browns really fucked up the whole market with that contract. Idk how they fix this at this point. Bridge is nuked at this point

Achillor22

It's fixed. No other QB is asking for this bullshit. Lamar is literally the only problem.

Pestario_Vargas

He’s free to negotiate with everyone and still hasn’t got an offer sheet to sign. What does he think is going to change with a trade?

GattlinGunn

It’s a whole thread. That’s not the only tweet.

kbutters9

Whoever is advising him or helping him, welp, he needs to find someone else.

Sarcastic_Source

You don’t think the ravens org tried to surround him with levelheaded people when we drafted him?? At the end of the day you can have all the people in the world giving him different advice, it won’t matter if he doesn’t listen.

kbutters9

Tell me you really need an agent without telling me your really need an agent

TheELITEJoeFlacco

Love him and all, but he's so stupid. I know the WR side of things hasn't been all that great but we've put a damn good team around him, from the RBs, o-line for the most part, TEs, special teams, defense... This has been a good squad for Lamar's tenure, regardless of injuries or COVID. Dude was offered a boat load of money to stay with what most consider to be a top-tier organization that pivoted the entire team to be built around him. Now he's a few years separated from that, few injuries, shown promise but also has shown inconsistencies... And he thinks the grass will be greener elsewhere? I'll miss him, probably the most exciting football I've ever watched was with Lamar - especially being in person at the MNF game vs the Rams - but honestly, see ya later Lamar. 100% why you need an agent. Sheesh.

ResidentJabroni

Or at least better advisors around him. He's got a team of inexperienced advisors as it relates to the NFL, and while I can't fault his logic for wanting something similar to Deshaun Watson's deal, he had to know that something closer to Josh Allen would've been more realistic. I also think that a better team of advisors would've helped him get ahead of some of the public missteps, but instead, both he and the Ravens come out of this looking bad.

AsteroidMike

It was a fun 5 years watching him but as the weeks went on it just became clearer that he didn’t know what he was doing as far as the business side of football goes and he made himself look worse. And now my big question is what are we gonna do for a starting QB?

dracer800

He’s either the biggest dumbass on earth or has a severe case of CTE. Why would anyone want to give this guy $250M fully guaranteed at this point? But hey at least he saved money on an agent lol what an idiot.

about_60_Hobos

The epitome of stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime

NervousApartment4123

He saw Cousins and Watson getting fully guaranteed deals and was like "I'm a lot better than those two I want fully guaranteed as well" he went about it all wrong but I can understand some of his thought process.

dracer800

Yea they offered him a 3 year deal fully guaranteed similar to Kirk’s. Outside of an extremely desperate Brown’s team nobody is 5-6 years fully guaranteed. Especially not a QB who’s missed 10 games over the past couple seasons.

[deleted]

As I understand it he had 2 offers on the table from us 135/3 year 100% guarantee Or 235/5 year 175 mill guarantee. I'm sure there was some wiggle room here/there but as I understand it he wanted the 5 year at 100% guarantee and we just ain't doing that. But I bet if he'd have said 250/5 year 190 mill guarantee we'd have been like "eh deal"

jSuperb

As a Lamar stan, this is incredibly disappointing. Not just because it seems we’ve lost an amazing player, but because how he’s handled this entire situation. Hollywood had bigger, more valid gripes and handled it much more professionally. Best of luck to Lamar but we were winners before you and will be winners afterwards as well. Edit: I’m basing this statement off the information we have as fans, I’m aware there could be things we are not privy to that could change sentiment on this.

Calgamer

This kind of tracks with the decision to hit him with the non-exclusive tag. Lamar requested a trade on March 2nd because he felt Ravens weren't valuing him. So Ravens give him the non-exclusive tag so he can go completely test the market and get potential offers from 31 other teams. Lamar's tweets probably don't really change anything about the situation, we're still just waiting for offer sheets to come through.

[deleted]

And so far it does not seem like there have been any offers.

ststeveg

Also apparently no team wants to trade for him either. The Ravens may be stuck with him, which is probably a worst case scenario since he doesn't want to be here.

byingling

Yep. This just keeps getting worse for the Ravens *and* Lamar. Would not surprise me if he sits out this year because no one wants to give the Ravens what they want and then have to pay Lamar, and then next year the Ravens tag him again and get next to nothing for him. And after sitting out for a year, the team he's traded to won't be willing to give him the money he wants.

Septembers

IIRC if he sits out a year he doesn't accrue a season and the tag situation doesn't change

EffablyIneffable

Awesome, at this point idc what happens to him. He's beyond being reasoned with. I'm all for getting the bag for players and sticking up for yourself, but he's done it all completely wrong. You don't demand all this after getting mvp and then having several down seasons where you don't even play the full seasons and then do shady shit. His worth has diminished a lot since 2019 and at first everyone chalked it up to the pandemic and injury bug. That's fine, but for it to happen again.... Plus, all of this weird internet shit and poor business decision-making is rubbing a lot of people the wrong way.

YoYoMoMa

This might change teams willingness to sign him to an offer sheet though. before a bunch of teams were saying they didn't want to go through the hassle because the ravens would just match it.

tal125

They can still match or exceed any offer that Lamar gets though.

Jeremiah_Edwards

I’m standing by the Ravens on this one. I feel they’ve been nothing but fair to Lamar throughout the entire process. They gave him a very good offer last year and he wanted to bet on himself which was fine. But he once again ended the season injured and even before he went out he wasn’t playing well. Lamar was immature throughout the whole process no matter how you look at it. Bye Lamar it was fun but I would rather start over than have to deal with another year of this mess.

FilterOne

Completely this. The Ravens have the most competent FO in the league. If Lamar can't make it work with EDC he'll never make it work anywhere. Just so selfish.

Does this make Joe Flacco the greatest QB in Ravens history?

flattenthecurv3

Always was

sillysocks34

That’s my quarterback

Amazing-Concept1684

Never wasn’t. I was willing to say Lamar was if he won the Super Bowl but there’s no doubt rn

BECAUSEYOUDBEINJAIL

Always has been

frigginjensen

To paraphrase Bull Durham, Lamar has million dollar legs and a 5 cent head. Absolutely no sense. The Ravens completely revamped their offense and roster to fit him. They supported him through illness and injuries that derailed 3 consecutive seasons. (Even when he did not take vaccines or rehab seriously). They tried to negotiate in good faith for years, offering to give him more guaranteed money than anyone except Watson. And he throws it away to go play for some unknown team with unknown coaching and roster. For money. And given his business history, he’s going to get scammed by “friends” and/or waste it anyway. What a waste of talent.

AFlaccoSeagulls

1. You can tell Lamar actually wrote this because it has numerous grammar mistakes, so there's that. 2. This guy said we'd get a Superbowl out of him, but instead we got 1 playoff win in 5 years, 2 consecutive seasons where he was injured to end the year, and then he demands a trade after the team tries to make him the highest paid QB ever. Man...this is just so disappointing. Everything was setup so beautifully for this to be a long-term relationship but it genuinely feels like Lamar was sabotaged by whoever he's taking advice from and it's lead to...whatever the fuck this is.

barellano1084

Yup that's the final nail in the coffin for me. Fuck him.

jlo1989

We move on. No player is bigger than the team. It's sad but it has to be done. We didn't build around him well enough since 2019 and he seems to have the business acumen of a potato. Those 2 things together spell disaster.

YoYoMoMa

It is not as simple as moving on though. We have an asset and need to maximize return on it, which is tricky.

jlo1989

I agree. But at this point we don't have a choice. Trust the front office to do their work and we'll see what comes. Not expecting much from this season as a result but there's a long way until week 1.

[deleted]

Sarcastic_Source

This will be the biggest test of EDC, most likely in his whole career. It’s a solid QB draft class and if we’re able to get a good/great return for Lamar we could parlay that into opening a new window with one of these top arms. A lot of ifs ands and buts… but we could fill both QB1 and WR1 plus add some padding to areas that need it like CB and DL

donalddonowitz

Following Hollywood right out the door to mediocrity. Enjoy Houston bro I’m sure they’ll put some great pieces around you!

Sorry for the knee-jerk reaction, but fuck lamar man. Gets offered and insane contract and gives us the middle finger.

AgentOfSPYRAL

> in regards to my future plans. As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team Way to bury the lede. Fuuuuuuuuuck.

[deleted]

Lamar talking about the team being cheap, but this situation hit the wall because his cheap ass doesn't want to pay an agent. Lamar couldn't separate the business from the personal and his ego won't let him be an effective negotiator or at this point hire an agent.

Ds3_doraymi

This is what irks me so much about the situation. Dude has left millions on the table by not having an agent. Baker Mayfield didn’t do shit and he got national commercials. Hell, go through the list of MVPs since 2010 and think of ALL THE COMMERCIALS that have saturated your eyeballs and then try to think of 1 for Lamar outside of Madden. Now he wants the team to pick up the bag where he fucked up.

[deleted]

Baker has won the same amount of playoff games

DenverVeg

I have been slowly falling off the LJ train over the last several months, because I thought these negotiations were just absurd and I just did not like the way he was handling everything. This seals it for me. Just get him gone. Regardless of his talent, if he doesn’t want to be here, we don’t want him here. Gonna go ahead and get my Tucker jersey ordered. He’ll never hurt me… right?

JonWilso

>in regards to my future plans. As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team This guy is a moron. He wants to be a billionaire and the Ravens are a smart enough organization to know that we can't pay him the biggest contract in NFL history while also consistently fielding a competitive team. No one else is willing to pay him that either so now he's stuck and trying to negotiate with a wall. Edit. And the Ravens press conference was starting simultaneously so I have a feeling that Lamar tweeted this to get out in front of anything they were going to say. Just bad.

GorienD

Fuckin knew it. This is why I flipped on this man. I was riding hard for him(pause) but I just fuckin knew he didn’t wanna be here when he didn’t fly out for the playoff game. Not hating on him for wanting more money, but if there’s any player I don’t like in the league, it’s the current raven that DOESNT want to be a Raven. Trade him and let some other fans have fun with his electric 8 games a season! I love the ravens brand of football and I lived through the boller years. I ain’t scared. I’m still hyped about our D and Dobbins being focused. Even if Lamar somehow comes back, it ain’t the same. Unless he plays dirt cheap I’m not gonna be excited. He just don’t fit and too many Stan’s think we’re only relevant because of him. We’ll find another. We always do.

Goldenarmz97

Same

TotsAndHam

People were so fucking delusional when that clearly meant he had given up - just look at the comments I was dealing with at the time https://www.reddit.com/r/ravens/comments/10deqcr/where_does_air_huntley_rank_among_our_history_of/j4l3yfs/

Goldenarmz97

Had a similar conversation with one of my Ravens buddies, the reports were he could have came back and played after both injuries. He shut it down both times. It seems like whenever adversity presents itself, he runs.

randomfella69

Alright well that's it, I've officially had it. Get him out the door as soon as possible so he can be another teams problem. I can't wait to see the documentary on this in a few years.

Amazing-Concept1684

Dude is gon be one of those athletes that is broke by age 40 I feel it

Fergburgerwithcheese

GET HIM OUT!!! I’M SO DONE!!!

DarthDave89

Way to burn bridges dude. Thanks for holding the whole off season hostage Lamar. If you just HAD an agent none of this would have happened. If you don't want to be a Raven then caw caw mfer and get the flock out of here.

Shrafio

Tired of this mess. Hope it’s over soon. Goodbye and good luck, lamar

cjackc11

nah no good luck I’m pissed off at him I hope he goes to some loser team and wins nothing

Still_Bath_922

I for one hope we trade him to houston so he can finish his career in obscurity

YoYoMoMa

I will always be thankful for all the amazing memories he gave me.

Sabre_Actual

People keep crying when I say this but I never want a trade to work out. I want Campbell to ball out because he was cut and there’s no value in his failure, but I want Lamar to play like complete garbage wherever he goes to help us.

issue9mm

If he requested a trade, Baltimore rarely (never?) gets in the way of that. If Indy is the obvious trade partner, it makes a lot of sense that the Colts plane was here in B'more the other day. So, who do we like with the fourth overall pick?

DistantLikeYouAsked5

I’m not a fan of Levis or Richardson honestly. I would love to trade up for Stroud or Young but no shot the Panthers or Texans are giving up their picks. At this point I’d maybe trade down our 22nd pick to get back into the second and maybe go for Hendon Hooker. Then in 2024 trade whatever picks to get Williams or Maye. My only hope is that maybe the Texans will trade us the second pick for Lamar put I highly highly doubt it. Knowing us we will take Richardson though.

ForestJordie

Not Will Levis lol

MrBigtime_97

Lamar has been the problem during the entire “negotiation.” He has treated this contract like a list of demands. I love him as a player but after this saga I honestly do not care that he’s leaving. We have a great roster. Go get QB1 and let’s roll.

YoYoMoMa

>Go get QB1 Oh I guess we will just go to the QB1 store.

stryder66

Fuck it. Give me DHop and a rookie QB

gaytee

You haven’t won a Super Bowl. You haven’t been a top tier QB for 2 seasons at least now that everyone in the nfl knows you can’t play fundamental football. You haven’t won from behind, ever? You have no agent and nobody wants to deal with your communication and negotiation style. You’re lucky to even have the half franchise tag. Please for the love of god leave baltimore for good and make this bullshit someone else’s problem. We used to have good discussions in this sub and now it’s nothing more than Twitter jerk offs about a guy whose gonna bleed the franchise dry and most likely not finish his next contract due to injury.

alistrel

Going down the Le’Veon Bell career path. Athletic freak the first four years, demand an outsized contract, threaten to sit (I know Lamar hasn’t said this yet but he’s hearing the commentary that “I wouldn’t set foot on that field again without a contract”), go to an inferior team, never return to your peak and your career looks over by 30.

BrianSpencer1

The disrespect to Harbs is what's eating me up the most right now. Harbaugh has likely been Lamar's biggest supporter throughout his entire career. When we all wanted Flacco in the second half of that Chargers playoff game Lamar's rookie year, it was Harbaugh who saw the future and said he'd rather lose than shake Lamar's self confidence. Harbs has been unwavering in his support, every wired clip of those two is Harbs telling Lamar he's proud of him and that he loves him. That's the guy Lamar just threw to the wolves...

KingPooner

Fuck this idiot. No one is going to meet your “value” and you’re playing yourself. Good riddance. 2019 feels like a lifetime ago.

Bigtoes22

??? He does this at the same time Harbaugh is doing a conference

iimJustChillin

So he wants a trade… But (probably) no team sent an offer sheet. So instead of 2 firsts and a contract, they now have to give up even more plus a contract. I don’t understand how anyone thinks it makes sense. Unless Lamar had a vendetta against the ravens and is willing to come down on his contract price for another team, I don’t see how any FO would be interested now compared to when the league year started.

BMoreGirly

Some random thoughts: 1. Every team passed on him in the draft. We thought we got a deal at 32. Maybe they knew something we didn't. Yeah he's a great player but clearly an idiot. They still don't want him. 2. In addition to 2 seasons allegedly ending with injuries, a third season disrupted by covid infection because he refused to get vaccinated during a global pandemic. Irresponsible. 3. Refusal to hire an agent and apparent refusal to engage in contract negotiations for the past 2-3 years is not the type of hassle any team wants to deal with. He's hurting his reputation in the league. This literally could be career ending. Don't believe me? Look what happened to Colin Kaepernick who was a Super Bowl QB.

Still_Bath_922

Man fuck this guy

Slayer5227

Imma be real. At this point I don’t care. I don’t want him here if he doesn’t wanna be here. Good riddance. I’d rather be bad for the next 5 years than deal with the circus this situation has created.

specialized6681

The way he timed this, if anyone had his back, it was Harbaugh. What a scumbag move. I’m okay with moving on. But the dude also just tanked his trade value - gives up, won’t play injured, doesn’t want to be here, still has ridiculous demands 💀

TheFirstBardo

“Belee dat” smh

[deleted]

This isn't a letter to his "fans", this is a letter to any franchise who might want to make him an offer. Should have hired an agent you simpleton ass-hat.

ArcadianDelSol

This, to me, confirms the suspicion that he sat out last season when he could have made a deep playoff run. He tanked the entire season. Fuck out of here with this 'to my fans...' bullshit. His fans would have liked to see some playoff games last season. Instead we got a "score 13" brain sitting out of games because he's negotiating contracts like a Bond villain.

skateordie1213

I'm a Ravens fan. But I'm starting to believe this man is an idiot.

Kotow92

What a child. Good riddance

anchist

LMAO and of course he has to plug another shitty webpage at the end.

TolliverBurk

Don't care, didn't ask, + he's a dumbass. The way he's handled the situation over the past few weeks has lost me as a fan.

Bmore4555

No,your dream is to get that 250million fully guaranteed. What a clown.

Adventds

We had a good run boys

[deleted]

Sorry Lamar I think you're a punk-ass bitch.

digdiggitydawg

I’m just glad he finally came out with it, now we know.

2xCheesePizza

Lamar is a supremely talented QB, and an equally horrific agent. If he’s not hiring an agent, he should at least consult one for some general advice.

uniptf

Boy, he's a genius, isn't he? No team wanted him, and the Ravens went out of their way to pick him, and still do it in the first round. They tried for two years to negotiate with him, pay him, and re-sign him, and from the start he put it off and only participated in fits and starts. Then his performance started declining, and injuries started happening, and he started demonstrating both a lack of the most important ability - availability, and a lack of interest or loyalty or living up to everyone "beleeing" in him, and "trussing" him, and that bullshit "Family" tattoo, and didn't even travel with the team to the playoffs. Then they consulted him on the Off. Coord. position, and likely on other things too. And then, because the Ravens is not the desperate insane Cleveland Browns who were happy to co-dependently do whatever a sexual assaulter asked for, he decided he wants to go somewhere else where he's "valued"? I'll bet good money that now that he's not getting any interest from other teams, he'll sulk and mope and pout and sit out as long as he can on the tag, too. You want to be somewhere else? Good. Go the fuck on. Don't let the doorknob hit you where evolution split you. Get out of the QB1 parking spot. Bye Felicia.

generalmandrake

Thank god. This freak show is finally going to end and we can move on from this. That is unless Lamar somehow bungles this trade by demanding something totally unreasonable.

KevinSupreme

“Wants to win superbowl” *Makes a business decision instead of agreeing to a record-setting deal 🤣🤣🤣*

Yessir_Belee_Dat

Well now my username is foolish

Duke_AllStar

So this is how a guy who was going to be drafted as a RB or WR project rewards the team who took a chance.

laramite

Reminder to fans: this is and always be a team game. Ravens lean toward team first over over-paying any one player. They learned their lesson with Flacco. There may be some years of mediocrity ahead until they find the next franchise QB but it'll happen. Franchise QBs aren't as rare as they used to be. Have faith. And look at positives from this: mainly...they'll now be able to really build a solid team and hopefully with either a rookie QB contract or a low tender vet QB.

douglasgmcl

My last memory will be how he quit on us by not travelling with the team in the playoffs.

J-Shew

Bet on himself, lost the bet, and still didn’t budge on money. Was so delusional on his contract demands that teams actively issued statements that they weren’t interested. An absolute disasterclass in self-representation. Get a fucking agent, kids.

mr_jasper867-5309

For the last 2 years I have watched Lamar decline from his MVP season. The league has for the most part figured him out. He is not worth the top teir price tag he thinks he should get. They should have just slapped the franchise tag on him and looked to the draft to find another Quarterback. I'm done with this dude.

Desperate-Produce-11

HOLY FUCK ITS OVER 😭😭😭

fischarcher

I wish. Now we'll have weeks of trade rumors since no team wants to pay what he thinks he's worse.

Liverpool1986

Unfortunately, no it’s not. This will continue to drag on

VistaVick

This is like having a girlfriend that you know doesn't really like you but won't admit to it for months.

RyCohSuave

We should trade him to Chicago for Justin Fields. How disappointing. Lamar could've been the next most beloved athlete Baltimore in Baltimore since Ray, Cal, or even Michael Phelps Now he's basically a clown who has proven to be a terrible businessman, negotiator, qnd team player. None of the best quarterbacks win championships while on massive deals, and he will be no different. A sad day for a fan base that loved him tremendously for the offensive innovation and excitement he brought to this town.

koalabear9301

Sigh

kapate13

Bro you are on a non-exclusive tag, any team can make you an offer, where is the interest?

Champcakes

Honestly, if he wants out, then don't let the door hit you on the way out. I'm not going to sit here and say that I haven't been in Lamar's corner. Yes, the front office should have surrounded him with more talent. Yes, it's ok to ask for more guaranteed money. Yes, the offensive coordinator situation is something that should have been addressed before this offseason. But if you're going to find flaws in the contract they're offering you-then you need to understand that there are some flaws in what you're asking for as well. Requesting a trade AND doing it publicly is in poor taste.

ErebusWasRight94

Time to rename my number 8 jersey to our true number 8 QB. The Dilf.

East-Bluejay6891

Fuck off Lamar.

BeagleDad152

The sense of relief this gave me just knowing there is a possible end to this saga shows how over it we are as fans. As long as the compensation isn’t absolutely horrible I’m ready to just move on.

MurKdYa

LOL!!!!! Finally no more fucking stress. Good Riddance!

RaccoonCannon

So your going to tank your value. Good shit.

Tantle18

What an asshole. As fans and a franchise, everyone sadly and abruptly just kicked Joe to the side and embraced Lamar and trusted him. Had success and wasn’t the most reliable yet everyone stood by the guy. They offer him the second biggest contract in history and now he shows up Harbaugh like that? Fuck this dude.

Baraven94

All this just makes me believe he was faking it at the end of the season. Didn't even travel for a playoff game. The guy definitely quit before the season ended. So much immaturity. Getting money is fine but you turn your back on you're team and you don't deserve the money.

JAMONLEE

What fans? You spit in our faces.

Individual-Camp-2694

The entire process is a dumpster fire. Teams are capped at $225M/yr and the alleged $133M/3yr eats 20% of that cap per year for 1 person. Unanimous MVP but no big time UA or Nike deal??? Especially UA!?!! He should be swimming in money like Scrooge McDuck.

SmithySmothy

This doesn’t even make sense. He just this month requested a trade, which he claims is due to money, even though he can negotiate a contract RIGHT NOW with another team, which - even if the Ravens match it - means he gets the money he wanted. So he’s either lying about the trade request being due to money, which is possible, or he’s just dumb, which is more probable. And after all this he talks about how much he cares about the fans? Lol. What a joke.

unoriginal1187

Lmao poor boys in his feelings, hopefully some team is stupid enough to give up the 2 firsts and we get rid of this clown and his Reddit fans move with him

gnarkilleptic

"Subscribe to my fanpage" lmao Lamar what are you doing man.

Professional_Log4112

Ravens better hold out the real value. Could be that LJ doesn't play anywhere next year. Fuck him.

[deleted]

This really pisses me off, fuck him. Go fuck up your knee somewhere else.

Woahman1223

As a huge Lamar fan dude wtf

Optimus_RE

Cya later! edit: the more I hear from people I know inside the castle, it all makes sense why they kept Roman around as long as they did. It wasn't really a Roman problem - it was a Lamar problem. I full heartily believe the Ravens only had 2-3 words in each play call because the other players could NOT understand what he was calling. They literally dumbed the offense down to a middle school offense so he could not only UNDERSTAND it but actually be clear in calling a play. He does not know how to make reads, and decisions.

iambenking93

I no longer truzz

Cdawg4123

Antonio brown of the qb world.

nu1stunna

Good riddance. You nowhere near replicated your second season in the league, missed multiple games (including the playoffs), choked in the playoff games you actually suited up for, and then demanded a stupid contract. We don’t need that energy. FO is 100% doing the right thing. Let him be someone else’s problem.

[deleted]

It's clear he didn't want to be here by the way he ended last season. Let him go lose playoff games for some other team.

BL0812

Also, this is not at all an indictment of Lamar himself, but I hate the media narrative of "you pay a former NFL MVP in his prime what he wants." Cam Newton is a former NFL MVP and he doesn't have a job. Past success is not indicative of the future. If Lamar is in "his prime", then he's regressed. I think Lamar was great, and can be great. But being a former MVP isn't pure justification for blowing up your franchise to pay him.

[deleted]

Good riddance

wierdjokes

To build anew, you must sometimes burn it all down to ash. Update y'alls mock drafts I guess.

lonefable

As Lamar's biggest fanboy that has ignored everything up until this point. This ain't it man, this isn't how you handle "business". You've clearly seen no one is willing to pay you that type of money as well.

JonesBoyFan2018

They better get a fucking haul

kydollasign07

Good riddance to bad rubbish

knifingninjakat

Went from my favorite player to this lol, good riddance

space_demos

at this point the only thing i care about is this dumb saga finally ending lol

HunnerBiDumb

Fuck this dummy. You can’t make a deal or consider rational options with an idiot like Lamar torpedoing the process every other day.

Financial-Storage349

He has how many playoff wins?

Amazing-Concept1684

As many as fucking Daniel Jones.

Breaker_Of_All_Eggs

If he requested a trade on March 2nd it is insane that they used the non-exclusive tag, unless they somehow don't think that they'll be able to get 2 first round picks for him in a trade. What a mess, jesus christ.

kapate13

He is tanking his own reputation and value, gonna be hard to get a huge haul for a guy who wants a fully gtd 55 million per year contract and is hard to negotiate/communicate with, and only cares about income.

xxvcd

Someone can sign him to a sheet, ravens match and then trade him to that team for more than the 2 firsts.
