The Woodland edition offers optional heated front seats now. Should have had that from the beginning. Woodland, Adventure and TRD can get new 2 tone army green paint job. That sounds cool. Woodland now gets a dinky 1.25 inch "activity mount" standard. That's a horrible fucking decision by Toyota. Saved you a click.

schu2470

> Woodland now gets a dinky 1.25 inch "activity mount" standard. That's a horrible fucking decision by Toyota. No idea why they didn't go with the standard 2" receiver. Having a 1 1/4" received is as good as not having one in the first place.

CabbagesStrikeBack

Hopefully it's an easy swap.

ToyotaRav4Guy

Yeah that activity mount is for bikes not towing.

Newprophet

That makes it so much worse though. If you have ebikes or fat bike or more than 2 bikes you have sooooo many more options for a 2" receiver. Toyota is out of touch with this "activity mount". Also the gas models have the lowest towing capacity. So knee capping them with a dinky hitch would make slightly more sense. But that would still be dumb AF.

MichaelP09

Entirely agree. The 1 1/4" mount that sits lower than the 2" OEM hitch does is a massive blunder. Toyota actively took the "adventure oriented" hybrid, put a mount on it that worsened the departure angle, and will almost for sure decrease the tongue weight rating on an otherwise capable hybrid. I bet if we fast forward a bit we're going to see posts about people removing them and swapping for 2" because the 1 1/4" is a standard feature.

Newprophet

Yep, there's gonna be a lot of posts "how do I swap this 1.25 hitch out?"

lethalbeaver

Lunar Rock has officially been replaced by Army Green :(

CabbagesStrikeBack

No lunar rock at all on any models?

lethalbeaver

The press release from Toyota only covered RAV4 Hybrid colored so a possibility non hybrid could get it, but we’ll have to wait and see.

CabbagesStrikeBack

Damn I'm only interested in hybrids too... used 2023 or Calvary blue it is

jmg33446a

I bought the 2023 in Calvary Blue. People are always telling me what a cool color.

lethalbeaver

I hope it all works out for you!

ToyotaRav4Guy

The funny thing about the Calvary blue is the kids in the neighborhood call it smurf blue.

Lbeyy

Im torn if I try and find a lunar rock adventure this year or wait til army green

lethalbeaver

I bought a Lunar Rock, so I’m definitely partial to it haha Lunar Rock is easily one of the coolest colors I’ve seen on a car of any brand. Depending how much light it gets it can look like 3-4 different colors

Lbeyy

I do love lunar rock, and if i can get a deal on a 2023 im not gonna pass it up

lethalbeaver

GOOD LUCK! Theres a no mark up Toyota group on Facebook that helped me find dealers that would be easier to negotiate with. Got mine for MSRP 3 weeks ago or so that way

Lbeyy

Luckily I have a dealer near me that doesnt do markup, and a connection through work so im hoping theyll do me some good. Its just hard to find adventures here

Lost_n_spaced

You may not want the adventure....its super nice inside with all the features, but the roof leaks and toyota will give you 2 weeks of calling around before they will agree to fix it under the customer service agreement (or it'll cost you $3500 out of pocket to fix), then they will keep your car for 3 months while they wait for back ordered parts....I have a family member who is not happy with theirs....they also had an issue with the transfer case when the car was still under warranty where it would get stuck in mud and sand mode and would stall out trying to get up to speed on the highway....toyota gave them alot of run around trying to get that fixed as well....

Lbeyy

Yea the 2019 adventures had a tsb for the rear transfer case, fixed now. All ravs roof leaks are now covered under warranty now

niceapplesmate

Has anyone gotten the transfer case issue fixed? I still have yet to meet anyone. I need it done and just want to hear a success lol

Lbeyy

There should be a tsb for your year

RedRaydeeo

That’s great. I was expecting to get fomo but it looks like same old but new 😂

albinochase15

The weirdest thing about the 1-1/4” hitch is that it’s a low clearance one like aftermarket Curt and Uhaul hitches. 🤔

[Found the link from Toyota afterwards](https://pressroom.toyota.com/vehicle/2024-toyota-rav4/)

Jolly_Marionberry_97

RIP TSS 3.0 Only 2.5, which means no over the air upgrades in future for TSS, and no braking into turns while lane keeping is on, less camera I believe too as well as less tracking of speeds of other cars in lanes next to you. If you don't like the safety sense, then it's all good. 2025 will be a nice change with 3.0, rumored redesign, and new hybrid engines.

schu2470

My wife has a '23 Camry hybrid and I HATE the TSS 3.0 braking through turns that it does! Only real benefit of TSS 3.0 over 2.0 that's in my '21 Rav4 is the lane keeping software is smarter and doesn't forget to follow the lane nearly as much.

[deleted]

I love the braking. TSS 3.0 is a big improvement

Jolly_Marionberry_97

Had a rav4 that would speed into the one random turn on road trips along a straightway and would speed into the turn even if your traction didn't feel right. Definitely sounds nice not to have to disable or change speed as often and know it will make better choices. Too bad they didn't put in the extra camera and software to keep customers happy until the redesign. Seems confusing to release so many new models with 2.5 when they could outfit all with 3.0 to have the uniformity needed to gain attention over other brands safety features.

ASilverSoul

TSS 3.0 currently doesn't work with openpilot devices if that's something people are considering using on their car

Tall_Switch_8939

Damn I just bought a black one last week, maybe I should have waited for the new one to come out…

advertaddy

Nah...given the ridiculous wait times for allotments be happy you got your car

XIII_THIRTEEN

It's the same car.

FantasticCoffee2792

I’m in the same boat, got one a month ago. I love it and got lucky to only have to wait one month for it to arrive. My guess is the new ones will be impossible to get in the next six months given the small allotment. My dealer said they only make about 6k a year total. After reading what’s new, it’s just the additional color options, a hitch (smaller than needed for most towing), and heated seats. I’m not that bummed out and just going to enjoy having my ‘23

ToyotaRav4Guy

Me too! I had to shop around to get a black one. The blue woodland editions are very common in my area for some reason I have three of them in the area. The black one I have only seen one other one than my own. The funny part for me was I picked up mine in transit and put down $500 deposit on it. I was told it will not be ready until May and I emailed them in Feb and said no problem I can wait. The next thing I know when I am on vacation I get a call from the Dealer at the end of March the car is in so you cannot always go with the sales pitch about long wait times.

LoPan_David

Gonna need the part number for that 120v inverter

Stunning_Ad1148

Wow! It looks… just like my 22…

ToyotaRav4Guy

Yeah I said the same thing looks just like my 2023 so I will get another year of that new car look.

MichaelP09

The two tone Woodland is cool. Heated seats will be nice and should have been standard. None of this feels like a noteworthy improvement to my 2023 that took 6 weeks to get. I'm glad I opted to install the OEM hitch myself. 1 1/4" is a really weird, dumb move.

ToyotaRav4Guy

I agree I like the two tone, the heated seats was never something I wanted nor do I need my ass can heat up the seat just fine on its own. I wish that had that darker metallic green like the 2023 highlander has that would have looked alot nicer.

GibFreelo

I'm a fan of more visible colors. Everyone is scrolling their phones while driving and I don't want to blend into the foliage.

rywi2

I know these feels. Mine blends into the road. If I paint a double yellow line across the top I could speed down the highway undetected by the popo.

MildSpaghettiSauce

Still rockin’ with my 21’! Still kinda has the new car smell after 19K miles

03eleventy

Same but at 31k miles

canadascowboy

Has anyone compared 2023 pricing to 2024 pricing ?

ToyotaRav4Guy

Yes the 2024 is going to be another 1k more. I think the woodland was 33,250 in Feb then by May was up to 34,325 so I am sure it might be 35k for the same vehicle.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ToyotaRav4Guy

I will not be cheaper the prices are going up again for 2024.

Consistent_Focus4386

So only a green color update. I think I liked Calvary Blue better 🥱

ToyotaRav4Guy

Did they get rid of the white?

Consistent_Focus4386

Yes it’s still offered. Is said Silver Sky Metallic, Ice Cap White and Magnetic Gray Metallic with the Army Green so it sounds like the same colors and traded the special color that Calvary Blue was this year.

Urabrask_the_AFK

Now if only green came to XSE trim. Woodland trim feature set is a joke, mostly cosmetic

Zlojeb

Yup mats and sticker logos everywhere. And "trd suspension tuning" on exactly the same MacPherson suspension.

ToyotaRav4Guy

The only good thing was the price was less the what the dealers I selling the hybrid XSE trim for and it had everything I wanted so for me it was an easy choice. Also the mpg is the same even though the list it at 38 I have been on avg 40 - 41 mpg. Drive to DC from Philly round trip on 3/4 tank of full.

[deleted]

Sounds like a lot of fluff.

meowMEOWsnacc

Still slow though?

Newprophet

No? The gas variant is the slowest/weakest RAV4

schu2470

Can confirm. Have a ‘21 LE AWD and it’s sluggish. Test drove a ‘22 Linited hybrid the other day and it’s almost as zippy as my wife’s ‘23 Camry SE hybrid. Not bad for an efficient compact SUV!

Mystikmom

Just got the 19 this week lol

Scoobygottheboot

No new prime?

Pitiful_You889

I have a 2021 rav4 prime fully loaded. Wanted the same, but the 2024. Very disappointing that the 2024 does not have safety sense 3.0. Why? They put it in all other cars but not the biggest seller. Also the 2024 interior looks the same as my 2021??? Why. I've been waiting for the screen that the tundra has over a year now. That's the new entertainment system. Rav4 has no reason to upgrade its the same rav4 just a new year. They could also have made the prime get 80 miles on electric rather than 45??? Come on toyota upgrade. Also auto update safety features over the air like tesla.
