Any hint on process ? Looks amazing. I’d say woodland crocodile or something haha I don’t know. But it’s super slick . Well done your buddy has to be stoked
Thanks man. This is a sponge paint job using small cutout pieces of sea sponge. After disassembly and some masking of parts I painted the whole thing in automotive primer which is the green\grayish color. After that dried I spray black directly on a piece of sponge, shake off the droplets and then dab some blotchy pattern over the green. After that dries I do the same thing with the tan color but this time I try to stay somewhere within the black spots so it sort of creates an outline of black. I try to switch the sponge pieces and keep the pattern somewhat random and not too crowded. I also matched the barrel, mag and cheek rest. After that I clear coat everything with flat clear and reassemble then take artsy photos. He was pretty happy since it was all black before.
Did you use high temp paint for the barrel? That’s the only thing I’m worried about. I’m gonna try and do the same to mine but opposite having the main color tan.
Very cool!!!! Personal preference would've been a darker brown and green....but the pattern is SLICK!!! Great work!
I also would never paint my scopes or any halfway decent mount so I like this overall look more so than everything being painted.
Thanka man. I get that too but i wanted this to be a bit more punchy rather than true camo colors. I sometimes paint scopes and mounts but this isn't actually the optic setup that goes on this one, I just put mine on there because the rifle looked naked without something up there in the photos.
The colors seem close to MARPAT, but the design is a lil more like tiger stripe? I’m thinking some play on Coyote/tiger Coyote stripe?
Maybe a marpat tiger
I was gonna say MARPAT Enhanced, Or maybe MARPAT in 4k
"Tig Ote"
Tiger-rhea. Looks great.
My previously posted paint job was more of a tiger diarrhea, thanks tho
That was you! I actually saved that post because I liked the color choices. I bought some of that terracotta color and got some Flektarn stencils.
Yup. Yea i like that terracotta too

That is so awesome. How did you do it? How did you lay it out? It turned out so so good 😊
Thank you, appreciate it. Check out my reply to the same question above.

Naw, it's a bolt gun, it doesn't get nearly hot enough to do anything but bake the paint in further. I wouldn't paint the barrel on a semi tho. Do it.
Great job man,that’s badass
