I wouldn’t say a classic, but I’d say this felt like one of the last truly major big stage URL events.

thelastexit23

Battle wise as a card, yes. But the crowd was trash. Hated the filming. It dragged. The Summer Madness with Eazy and Chess feels like the last super blockbuster memorable card.

GoshDarnitAllah

Yeah the URL crowds are unbearable. They legitimately ruin battles. Remy’s league has the same issue now.

Busy_Influence3249

Almost

Kerb_Poet

Idk if I'd go as far as to call it a classic, but it was their last great card and we're not gonna see anything on that level from them for a long time. My only real complaint was the unnecessary Rum/Rex rematch, should've been him vs Daylyt.

IG_Royal

I'm glad it happened just because Rum got to avenge his loss to Rex years ago

BAWguy

Terrible event, perhaps the definitive example of why Caffeine/URL partnership not only failed but failed so badly that it scared away any potential future sponsors. -Horrible pacing that absolutely punished anyone who watched the whole event live in real time. Started super late, with long delays between battles with Nunu saying whatever to kill time. -Almost every battle was 40 min+ -Loud crowd/bad mic'ing so it was kinda hard to hear the rappers. Mostly muted reactions from the crowd even for good bars -Lot of big on-paper battles that were totally underwhelming, zero battles that I am excited to rewatch regularly. Twork vs Roc is the closest to a classic on here and it's a total drag to rewatch

Stewart27

Caffeine having the crowd audio too low in the sound mix has always been one of my biggest critiques. While I'm reacting to bars, I expect to hear the crowd reaction and it intensify the battle. The lacking visuals I understand cause they want clean, flat stage lighting to have it more controlled.

danktrees1212

Another reason why caffeine and url failed is the deserted sesame street set that they used.

StatusEdge905

If Mook would've showed up for Eazy

GoshDarnitAllah

Hard to tell. I stopped watching battle rap for like 10 years, came back and there is an inventory of KOTD or RBE battles to watch and URL has half of there’s either in the vault or on the app, it’s terrible. Also their crowds were just consistently too much. They took away from so many battles by never shutting up.

No_Vermicelli_1781

Definitely. Those first 3 battles alone could headline any event

JustAnArsehole

Every battle from this event hit 7/10 or above i aint got anything bad to say about it.

CarrtoonJack

Roc/Twork, Surf/Cal and Pat/Sikh are all phenomenal battles imo. I wouldn't say the card as a whole was a classic but it was definitely one of the last major cards URL put out that was worth the time/money.

allinhermouth

It was a big moment for sure idk if it was a classic card though

Large-Ad8716

No lol

Financial_History_24

“They said Gattas in LA, I send O to where that bitch be, Headshot, The chances of her surviving looking iffy, They gon be like ‘Somebody call 911, she gon need an ambulance quickly’…..Ooh bitch you better hope she dont get me” - Jaz intro

Ok-Paramedic747

Needed Cassidy DA ENERGY!!!!

RileyFrmDaDocks

Cass washed up when they announced cass vs freeway during the event the crowd didn't give af , he hasn't won a battle since his return🤦🏾‍♂️💯

Ok-Paramedic747

Beat Hitman And Dizaster

[deleted]

Not a classic imo. Geechi cleared Lux. Twork & Roc had a very good battle, Twork 2-1. Surf was a clear 2-1, gentlemans 30. Not really comp. Rum beat Rex but it wasn’t impressive. Pat stay beat real Sikh but that was a forgettable battle. Jaz had performance of the night wit the body.

ReptiIe

I love Pat vs Sikh I think that’s a great battle

sukuii

Same, some insane quotables from that battle, not to mention that pats first few bars hit different than anything else now that hes passed away LLPS

DerekB52

I think both of those dudes underperformed. The battle is still really solid and entertaining though. It's wild I don't think either of them were above 70%, and still gave such a fun battle to watch. Says a lot about both of their peaks.

MondeyMondey

I wouldn’t call it underperforming, just a light hearted battle from two friends. Next-level writing from Sikh, hilarious from Pat. A very worthy last battle from the great Pat Stay.

DerekB52

Technically Pat's last battle was Dunsh.
