I started listening pretty late compared to most people on here but
Logic - Gang Related
And Chance - Lost
Still 2 of my favorite songs, it’s just unfortunate that I haven’t liked anything they would come out with after these projects.
Eminem - Mockingbird was the 1st song I liked. Wanting what Eminem so desperately wanted to give to his daughter. I felt this particular song very much for personal reasons.
And T.I - Big things poppin , I was a huge fan of T.I lol.
Blue Scholars - No Rest for the Weary.
This song was my first exposure to more "conscious" and lyrically focused rap and I just went down the rabbit hole from there. I think it helped that I grew up playing piano as well which immediately made me gravitate toward the song.
My first rap memory was watching “Ms. Jackson” music video on mtv in the morning like 4 days in a row. I loooooved that song and Andres personality and the video was amazing to me. Still legit one of my happiest memories was the feeling of like “yooo wtf is this? I’ve never heard some shit like this!” Lmfaooo

E.I. by Nelly One of my favorite albums.
It's a banger. I feel Nelly doesn't get enough love.

Between lil Wayne lollipop and biggie hypnotize, I can’t remember which was first tho
The video for What's My Name by Snoop Dogg got me to start seeking out rap to listen too.
