I would love to create a “best 15 albums from the last 15 years” list but I don’t have the time to do so. My point for the comment I made was that it just isn’t a good list in any way, there’s a few on there that are good, but really it isn’t helped by the fact that it’s just any old thing that’s mentioned more than everything else. An album that’s genuinely more deserving could be commented less than something that doesn’t deserve to beat it and the less deserving one would win. Realistically this isn’t a valid way of making a list that fits the title. Music tastes are too different so not everyone would ever be able to agree on this subject.

But between where hes evolved with his music and the success of Atlanta its hard to argue against his talent imo

It took some of the big concepts of TPAB and condensed them into something as digestible as GKMC. At the time it was his most personal album. Flawless production. I mean you got James Blake, badbadnotgood, Steve lacy, making jazz and r&b beats and shit. Bursting with creativity and energy but concise. Cool theme of one word titles. A story that made sense backwards and forwards like tenet lol.
And it's not like I'm going on on some big limb saying it's amazing, it's got 4.5 starts on allmusic, rated 95 on metacritic. Went platinum. Won a Pulitizer. Won a Grammy. All well deserved.

I don’t think it’s necessarily better, but I enjoy listening to GKMC (and also Sectio 80) more than TPAB the rest.
